I tried Windows 7 RC on my Lenovo T61p. I could not get my Sierra Wireless Broadband card working. It did not seem to have a driver that worked with Windows 7.
Has anyone been able to get that working? Does anyone else have this card and also have problems?
I just got a new laptop with windows 8 is there anything out-there that will let my serria wireless adapter work?

fps drop in all games I've installed. The problem seems to come from the sound card.
I've disabled it in device manager and I gained a steady 15-20 more in most of the applications.
Any idea what to do? Is it a driver issue or something? I got an Athlon 64x2 4600+, Asus M2N mainboard,
2 gigs of ram, Gainward 8800GS video card, Sound Blaster Live 24bit soundcard.
Drivers are downloaded from creative.
Card is a 3com pci card - 3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI NIC (3C905-TX).
Now, I have just decided to go 64bit, and all is installed driver wise aside from this card.
So, I have just downloaded a 3c90x1.exe package, (the site I have it from suggests it is 64bit compatible), but when I try to run the exe i get an error suggesting that it is not compatible with the version I am running.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on this please. or a location for a verified working 64bit driver?

i have the RC1 version of windows 7 but i hate to install that and as i have all my games and everything id have to reinstall with it(major pain) plus im not even sure if that would fix my problem
anyways when i plug my card reader in i can't access it at all, it does show up in device manager but it says drivers not installed. I don't think they make this card reader anymore and there would be drivers floating around for a card reader, so what are my choices?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just completed a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit (x86) after formatting my computer, which was previously running Windows XP Professional SP3. Everything during the install went smoothly, but now I'm trying to install my graphics card drivers and it's not working. Before I go further, here are my system 'specs':OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit Mobo: ASUS M2A-VM (Green) Graphics Card: nVidia 9800 GT CPU: AMD Athlon 5400+ The first driver I attempted to install was my motherboard driver. I used the CD that came with the mobo, but the drivers were not compatible with Windows 7 so I had to run the driver under compatibility mode for Windows Vista in order to open the setup, then I installed those drivers. I then restarted and attempted to install my graphics card drivers off the CD that came with my 9800 GT. The first set of drivers that it installed were the PhysX drivers and those installed just fine. It then attempted to install the actually graphics card drivers, but then it said "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." I opened up dxdiag and checked under the display tab and it's not showing any hardware under that tab, as if I have no graphics card. I then tried installing the Windows 7 32 Bit drivers that I downloaded from the nVidia site for the 9800 GT but when it does the system compatibility check, and error occurs that says "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue, the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I then checked in the device manager under the 'Sound, video, and game controllers' section and only Realtek High Definition Audio is there. I have also installed the drivers for my motherboard found on the ASUS website after selecting the Windows 7 OS. I downloaded and installed the driver under the 'Chipset' section titled 'AMD Chipset Driver V1.3.0.49 for Windows 7 32bit/64bit--(WHQL).'Basically, my computer is not even detecting that I have a graphics card yet my monitor is plugged into the DVI port on my graphics card, and my graphics card is on. Does anyone know what's going on? Better yet, does anyone know where I could find drivers that will work and make my system functional?EDIT: If anyone requires any further information in order to help me with my problem, just let me know and I will get it asap.EDIT2: I just looked in my device manager and I noticed that under the 'system devices' section there is a device with a exclamation point in a yellow triangle called 'PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge'. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.' I have a feeling this is the problem. I went into my bios and enabled the "Plug and Play OS" but when I did that it made my computer run INSANELY loud. So I turned it off.

after a fresh install I had to find the smu drivers for my biostar MB and windows installed it's own video driver 8.15.11.8585 dated april 09. the gfx card is a 9800GTX+ has the bios 62.92.56.0.6.
now since then I haven't been able to install any of nvidias driver updates and windows own driver update for my my gfx card, what happens is I install the driver then my system reeboots and as the driver loads after reeboot I simply get a blue screen error
I have tried various methods of unninstalling the drivers first and also using "drivercleaner.net" and also unninstalling my antivirus but none of these make any difference I still get the blue screen error "System_Service_Exception" stop 0x0000003B etc etc file mentioned is "nvlddmkm.sys"
now I can continue to use the OS by going into safe mode and removing the driver and letting windows install the default driver, but the tweaker in me is determined to get to the route cause of this problem
Is this something specific to this build or do I have a corrupted driver file somewhere or is there something simple I need to do with possibly the registry.

before i gutted it out and put all new stuff in, my computer was once an eMachines C6415. it has a built in card reader that 7 identifies, but just as a generic card reader. there are windows xp drivers for it that will give them certain icons and specify what kind of slot they are, but i can't find any for 7. they work and all, but i want them to show up in my computer with all the correct information (instead of the generic icon that just says "removable drive"). i can't find any 7 drivers for it. any help?

I put in the D-Links DVD and click install drivers. It then comes up with an error saying i ineed to install the network card when it is installed just fine!

Okay so i have an older Wireless PCI Card from like 5 years ago, I didnt have an antenna for it so i didnt use it, I recently came across the antenna and put the card in my PC, The "Ethernet Controller" says it doesnt have the drivers, and windows wont find it on its own. So i have gone to the website and downloaded the driver and software, it all tells me there are several missing .dll files.

However when I rebooted the display was so distorted that I had to reinstall my original video card to make my comp usable.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The original installation went just fine, but I never did test to see if transfer speeds were any faster. The instructions specifically mention to install the software first, then the hardware. Recently, I did a clean reinstall of Windows 7 Ultimate (x64). I never did remove the card. I tried running the software with the hardware already installed. Well, the drives are recognized and all, but the transfer rate between the two drives (one is Seagate 3.0 and one is WD 3.0) is only around 50 MB/sec...USB 2.0 speed, right? So, from what I've been able to find over the past couple of hours is that I can't contact WD about the card. They know nothing, and the product can't be found on their website. In device manager, it's listed as NEC Electronics, and it seems there's been some combination of forces between NEC Electronics and Renesas.
1. I have found updated drivers and firmware for NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 cards, but they are broken down into different models or families. For instance, most of them use a number along the lines of uPD720200/uPD720200A Version 2.1.27 WHQL uPD720201/uPD720202 Version 3.0.8.0 WHQL So, how do I find out what my uPD number is, so that I grab the right files?
2. Do I need to uninstall current drivers/software, remove the card from my PC, install the correct drivers, and then install the card back into my machine (See bit about installation instructions near beginning of post.) OR can I just find the updates and install them without removing the card? If so, do I uninstall the old drivers, or just install the new drivers and firmware over the top of the existing files?
