Epson Xp-400 Printer Is Cutting Off The Top Section Of Text?
Dec 29, 2012My Epson xp-400 printer is cutting off the top section of my text. I've already reloaded the utilities and drivers, cleaned the nozzles and the heads. It has new Epson ink cartridges, and no error messages. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what's wrong? it is on a wireless network.

Oct 8, 2011I baught a new computer and everything was working well until my computer did an update. This was within 24 hours of buying the PC and bringing it home. Ever since the update everytime either i shut my monitor off or is going iunto sleep mode when i bring it out of sleep mode or turn the monitor back on all of my desktop icons and the tool bars are gone. I'm left with nothing but a backround picture and the rest is blank. I've been fixing this by right clicking the desktop and then clicking screen resolution and changing the screen to the other choice but this is a true pain to do everytime.

Sep 25, 2012I have no idea why but in some applications like Chrome, Audacity and Installer wizards, the text is blurry. It's not blurry in any other applications that I've come across yet. I've gone through the personalisation thing in Control Panel with the Display settings, and got to the point where now only select applications and icons are blurry, is there a way to fix this in these applications?

May 23, 2010Okay, so a friend of my dad told him that he used to see the folder icons and labels in the left pane of Outlook 2007 in a bigger font/size before switching to a new computer with Windows 7. Obviously, we all know that upgrading Windows won't change font sizes that are coded into independent programs, so I'm thinking that maybe his old computer was running at a lower resolution. Anywho, my dad's friend asked my dad to ask me this question, and since I don't use Office 2007 anymore, I need to ask you: is there a way to change the size of the folder icons and labels in the left pane of Outlook 2007, without changing the size of anything else?

Sep 21, 2009I am a long time user of Windows XP. And I have very basic and specific ways of browsing and launching needed apps and getting to my files.
I recently volunteered my little brothers PC to be the Windows 7 guinea pig. I installed windows 7 with its awesome and simple new gui installer, ran all the updates, video drivers, the works.
Then when I went to add a toolbar to the right hand side of the screen by dragging an empty folder to the edge, the folder just bounced back.. Top, left.. no good. I chatted with several people I know using 7 and they tried with no avail as well. It works on Vista, XP and probably even back to 98-95.
Has this REALLY useful and SUPER IMPORTANT (at least to me) option been removed from the "newest and best" windows build?
Example of "MY" Auto hiding Windows XP sidebar. Easy access to all my root drives, a cascading explorer, expanding games, and single click fully labeled program shortcuts.
Showing Cascading One click file browsing. Just have to mouse over to expand sub folders to easily find buried files.

I have tried safe mode and launching the Self launching fix which has sort of fixed the problem however it take about 40 minutes to progress from the start page to the desktop. Mar 3, 2011Ok this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.

Feb 2, 2012I have a project where I need to search a large amount of text files on my home PC. I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. My research indicated this feature was available in Windows 7.
If you do a search in Windows XP, you get a bunch of fields. You can pick to search for text INSIDE the particular sub folder structure.
I have found this feature in Windows 7, but it is different. I have tried using wild cards but it does not seem to work properly.

Fonts Section Of The Control Panel ?
Jul 12, 2010I seem to have a large number of fonts on my relatively new and sparsely populated Win7x64 pro system.They have weird Asian names such as BatangChe and Aparajita and DaunPenh and DokChampa. They all appear in the Fonts section of the Control Panel with oriental font symbols (kanjii?) in place of the customary "ABC" and they are all greyed out.When I try to delete them Windows will not let me claiming that these fonts are "system fonts." Is that true? Are they system fonts? I find it hard to believe. I've never seen these fonts in any previous system.I did not install these fonts, I will never use them. I do not want them. Is there any way to change the properties on these files so that I can delete them without getting a pop up saying that they can't be deleted?Or should I just leave them alone?

May 30, 2010I have got the following problem: After the installation is complete and I restart, I still got the same menu with language selection and installation stuff. How do I get past this? Also I have managed to get into Windows 7 when I found something strange. The partition I have selected in the erase menu is not there! So I have no idea where is my Mac installation. Using Partition Wizard I saw that the 17 gb partition that I wanted to use for the OS installation is not fat32 or ntfs but "other" and it's fully used (0 kb unused). Also using EasyBCD I assigned an entry for Mac os x86 generic but as a default it goes to drive c to NST folder but there, there is only 1 file.

Feb 14, 2013I found a file named Index Locations under Searches in Windows 7. I thought it was rather long, so I deleted a section prior to January 2013. A box came up saying French could not be ????? but could be deleted permanently. clicked YES. Then I noticed that the number of icons on my desktop (where I keep most of my folders and files) appeared to have shrunk.Have I lost any folders and files and is there any way to retrieve them ??
