The shortcut creation method doesn't seem to work for non-application shortcuts. How can I access (in Windows 7) or move files (to Windows 7) that are created in XP mode? I have a Canon camera that uses an XP only utility to communicate with the camera. The files are moved from camera to XPM environment. I need to work with the files in Windows 7.

Dec 16, 2012Im having a problem with opening files I use to open with two programs. One is mkv, vob and divx files with homecinema. And snes roms with an emulator. Basically win 7 would let me select the program and it would show up on the list of programs to use. I would select always use and I'm done. But I moved the folders containing the files to a different folder and now my two programs I use will not show up in the open with list. I now have to go to the program itself and search for the files. Its a pain because I could click on the files and get right to them.

Feb 11, 2012Have a Dericam web cam, working fine, but when I set it to record a window appears to allow me to choose where the file is to be saved, ie My Documents, but when I return to Documents using Windows Exlorer or Media Player the files cannot be seen. They do, however, appear in the window when 'Record' is selected. I've checked 'Show Hidden Files' in Folder Options to no avail... any suggestions welcome! (I have a jpeg of the 'Window' but can't remember how to insert it...)
