Ive recorded some videos using Camtasia Studio 6 once i come close to those files even before i open them i get a window com surragate already causing problems, most of the times when i open these files, my windows crashes and has to restart.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to install my comcast high speed Internet (through Ethernet using a cable modem) on a computer I just bought from someone who has windows 7 installed and the comcast message is telling me that the my operating system (windows nt 6.1) isn't meeting the minimum requirements to install and list every other prior operating system as those that meet the requirements. Is there a way I can install without having to wipe windows seven and install xp?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a new laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. We have a Netgear cable modem / wireless router. Comcast is the service provider. My other two computers connect and load pages without any issue. However, my new laptop connects without issue, the browser boots up just fine, and google comes up right away.
Here's the strange part: It only loads pages from Google! Whenever I go to another website, the browser finds the start, begins loading very slowly, then stops when the progress bar reaches about halfway. Again, my other two computers ( a laptop and a desktop ) both connect fine. They are both running XP.
I thought it might be a problem with the browser, so I went to starbucks with the new laptop and tried using the wifi there. All pages loaded perfectly there without issue. That's why I'm guessing Comcast is involved in this problem.
When I got back home, I tried using Firefox 3.5 and back to the same problem. I noticed that in addition to Google, Reuters News loads as well. Skype is also running without any problem.
Any clue if there is a setting in Windows 7 I need to change, or is this something I need to call Comcast about?
I recently set up Win Live Mail, after buildiing a new computer with Win 7 on it. I use Comcast as my mail client and with xp never had any issues. I set up Live w/ Comcast and all SEEMED well. Today I am away so I used my laptop to log into comcast.net and have 144 new messages, some dating back to two weeks ago. Some of these messages I have received in Live, read and deleted but most haven't made it to Live. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set up a Set Top Box connection in Windows Media Center on W7x64, but I can't get the Windows Media Center remote to change the channels in the setup. I have the USB IR transceiver with an IR blaster in front of the STB's IR receiver, and when going through the setup WMC states it has the remote code correct, but it doesn't work. I have fiddled with every conceivable setting, from manually coding the STB's remote to picking out all of the possible code's from a list, but it doesn't work. I have also tried all of the immediate settings (number of channel digits, pressing enter or not), and it's still a no go. From what I've read, other people have had issues with this particular STB. It seems that most people's answer was just to trade it in, but I don't think that is an option at this point since Comcast has been using this box for over a year now.
Also, I thought I should mention that the USB IR transceiver does indeed pick up the STB's signals, as it flashes when I use it. Maybe an IR to IR cable from the back of the STB to the USB IRt would work?
I have a Comcast receiver model DC50X which I used to receive live TV broadcasts on my computer. Unfortunately I had to reload my computer software but do not have the Tuner software I had before that works with this DC50X device from Comcast. I don't remember what it was. Can you recommend something that will work with this Comcast device so I can watch TV on my computer?

I'm the only computer savvy individual in the household and I don't know what the problem is.I am CONSTANTLY disconnecting from the router even while just browsing the web. I just did for a second while I was typing this up. I'm only about 35-40 feet away from the router, there's nothing to interfere with. My drivers are up to date.

I have not only disabled and/or turned off Norton, AdAware and SpyBot but have completely uninstalled them. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WMC. I have cleaned and optimized the registry. To no avail, WMC can see the tuner card (all 4) but does not detect the CableCard.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490

when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?

So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . The problem is after the system restore every time Vegas launches i get a error : Sony Vegas pro 10 an error occurred starting Vegas Pro Error 0x80070002 (message missing).
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a toshibio satelite model # psc16c02q00m, I've tried to reformat my computer, i have the back up Disk and when i started my computer i press F12 to get the boot bios where i made it boot from disk putting my back up cd#1 into there. it was working fine till i put in disk three, from there i got a F3-F200-002 Error said an error has occurred please press OK to turn off the computer. and that is the only option. ive tried repeating the process but now all i get to is this screen even when i try to but off the hard drive im assuming my windows has been cleaned.

What I've tried;
-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Windows 7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).

All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. I installed a new harddrive and installed a new copy of Win 7 Home Premuim x64 After it reboots, it just hangs in the welcome screen with the Windows logo.
I reboot via Windows 7 repair disc and run C: chkdsk /r and I get this message "disc check error 766f6c756d652e63 3f1"
I get this error using both a HOme premium DVD and using the HDD on this system ... best I can tell it is not giving me options about what sort of boot to attempt. Not sure the hardware is healthy but there are no removable devices present [that is no sd card, no usb thingies plugged halfway in, just the dvd drive which is either empty or with the Windows 7 disc, depending on attempt]

It's running Windows 7 Pro x64. When I attempt to start it up, it starts up the Windows Error Recovery program, suggesting that I launch Startup Repair, and allowing me to start Windows normally. In both scenarios, I get the same error.When I start normally, I get the Starting Windows text, then I get a solid white bar with Windows is loading files... above it. View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently switched out an older Netgear router for the Netgear WNDR3300. I have a 1TB WD MyBookWorld connected via ethernet to the router. Ever since the router switch I have been having two specifice issues:While uploading videos to Facebook, the video will upload anywhere from several MB up to over 100 MB, then stall, saying it's still uploading but trust me, it isn't. I can copy files/folders from the networked hard drive to my computer flawlessly, but when I try to copy files/folders from my computer to the networked hard drive, it copies anywhere from a few seconds to maybe a couple minutes then stalls out, giving the error message: "Network Error. There was a problem accessing [\SERVERFOLDER]... Make sure you are connected to the network and try again." with Retry, Skip and Cancel. When cancel is pressed it gives: "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred.
Other useful information: on the new router, the WNDR3300, if I use WEP security, I can copy files/folders to the hard drive, no problem. However if I try to use WPA/WPA2, the abovementioned problems occur. I would use WEP and just forget the hassle, but WPA2 is much faster and more secure, so I really want to get this fixed.I also believe the two problems are somehow related, considering they both involve working for a few seconds to a few minutes, then stalling and failing. Could this be somekind of authentication or something to do with WPA/WPA2 that I'm doing wrong?
