I cant copy anything to my Kingston 16 GB. in addition, in the properties window, there isn't any 'Security' tab at all. what can i do ?I also tried to manage it through the MMC. but it doesn't open and the console crashes, asking for manual debugger attachment.

All our PC are XP Windows 7 What we are finding is for some reason on log off or on startup it is trying to delete a profile but cant and event viewer show errors either with event code 1533 or 1530 Description:Windows cannot delete the profile directory C:Users<username>. This error may be caused by files in this directory being used by another program. DETAIL - The directory is not empty.When it cant delete the profile it the goes to put a local copy of the profile in the users folder as username.001, .002 etc All that is left is a couple of empty folders. (each time the folders are different) the are no security on this folder and they can be delete manually. Now i did google this and i know this is quite a know issue with the profiles not always being delete. I know about the tools used like uphclean etc which help with this problem alot of people face but its there a permanant fix for this or is this just typical behaviour that we all must live with?

I tried to see if its a driver issue by booting into Safe Mode but it didn't work in there.

I´ve just installed Windows 7 and this is what I want to do:
Copy my old Favorites-folder (Win Explorer 8) from the old harddrive to my new folder in Win 7.
I had some problems accessing my old folder in My Documents on the old harddrive but i changed permission and ownership and finally I could access it and copy the folder. But. It seems impossible to copy it into c:UsersxxxxxFavorites
It just says "You´ll need to provide administrator permission to copy this folder"
I´ve disabled the built in admin account and tried every fix I´ve found but I still receive the same message. How can I fix this??? Seems like a simple thing to do but i just cant get it to work.
My PC was somehow configured so that I cannot copy files from the internal hard drive to a USB pen drive (e.g., to make a back-up).
When I try to do this, I get the following message: "Destination Folder Access Denied You need permission to perform this action."
There is definitely enough room on the USB drive. The USB drive is configured with a password, which I entered correctly after plugging in the drive. After doing this, I am able to see the files from the drive. The configuration is such that I can copy files from the USB drive to the PC's hard drive, but I can't copy in the other direction, which is what I need to do.
This sounds like a Windows permissions issue to me. I have taken ownership of the file in question, and I have assigned full control to that file.
I'm trying to back-up our office DVR system that came with some very expensive software (and the warranty on it has already expired.)So I bought identical hard drives (to the ones installed -- 3 total) so now I need to make one-to-one copies from the originals. I need to buy a new 1Tb hard drive and copy all of the 250gb hard drive right across, Win 7 included. Everything even virus' if they are there and I need for it to just run straight away as though nothing has changed except for the extra 750Gb of memory if you can see what I mean. The problem is that basically, anytime I want to copy a file to the C: (OS partition), Windows asks me if I want to continue copying a file there (I am an administrator so I don't know why it should). Also, if I want to download a file to the C: partition, it won't allow me and it'll tell me I have to save it in my username folder, not in the C: root. According to the persmissions, administrators have full control but I'm still asked if I want to copy files.I've tried assigning users to have full control but I get a series of messages like "This file is currently in use, cannot set permission" and access denied for "Program files, Program Files (x86), Windows and C:".
