May 13, 2009My com can't display chinese and korean fonts whenever I go into either website. and I also can't type Korean, chinese and japanese language anymore. I did go to Regional and language options but the drop down menu DID NOT show these 3 language which I want and I try clicking the "install files for East Asian languages" but its need me to insert the CD. Is that anyway which I don't need to have the cd.Is something like this when I go into korean website.

Sep 21, 2012when i moved to spain from the uk last year i bought a laptop here windows 7 home premium was pre-installed at some point and i don't remember how i changed the display language from spanish to english i have just bought another laptop which also has windows 7 home premium installed and i can't work out how to change the display language the received wisdom seems to be that it is only possible with an upgrade to ultimate but i didn't upgrade my first machine is it possible that i reinstalled windows and was therefore able to select english as the default display language?

Apr 30, 2009I download a Traditional Chinese language pack (iso) from Microsoft Connect and I followed the instruction that i found from Internet to change my windows display language from English(default) to Chinese but I'm having problem to install it.
In the installation windows after i browsed for the language pack file it tells me that "the language cannot be installed in this computer" (see screen shot below). Any help?

How Does "display Language" And "system Language" Differ
Mar 19, 2011I am about to purchase an asus laptop in Germany (with Windows 7 HP on). Now I know I can't change the system language (need windows ultimate for that) but I believe on Asus computers you can select English as the display language on the initial install (so each shop is telling me) and so i have read (which i don't really understand as why can you do this on ASus laptops only - surely windows is windows? ie you can or you can't!).
If this is true i was wondering just what will be changed into English (i.e. what exactly is the display language)? I gather the majority of menus etc will be in English, but what about if my laptop goes wrong and I have to start digging a bit deeper? Does anyone know if all the settings menus change so i'll be able toedit the registry if need be (just an example!).

When I invoke Photostory 3 I am expecting to find it in Portuguese, ... but its still in English.i used the official PhotoStory3Portuguese(Brazil).msi?Even if I install the Portuguese version, does it still look at the OS language when invoked and say "well, your OS is in English so I am going to display in English"?

MS Word, Notepad, websites appear in Wingdings. MS Excel is the only program to appear in English. After re-installing Win 7 (without SP1) everything is again in English. But, after installing SP1 again, same problem. I'd appreciate any thoughts, including which updates of SP1 I might be able to install without problems.

Sep 22, 2012Windows 7 64 turns off the monitor 1 signal after startup. At login, it powers off monitor 1 and powers on monitor 2. Windows 7 behaves as though dual display is working even though monitor 1 does not display. It's the same for single display, the monitor will not work on cable 1 except at startup.Both 'Extend these displays' in Windows Screen Resolution and 'Extend' in the Nvidia Control Panel is selected. And changing which one is primary does not turn on monitor 1. Nor does switching the position of display 1 in either (ex.left/right/top/bottom).GeForce 8400 GS; Dual Monitor Solution 59 pin (DMS-59) to 2 VGA adapter -tried two of these adapter cables.atest Driver: 306.23 - installed a clean reset install of the latest Nvidia driver released last week.Same Resolution: 2 of the 4 monitors I have tried have the exact same 'recommended' resolution (1280X 1024), both 60Hz, and even chose 16 bit color for both instead of 32 to reduce resources.
Linux worked: Dual display worked immediately when I tried it in Ubuntu 10. So, it's not the hardware. It works in Ubuntu 12 too but not properly -it won't transfer windows across displays. My Windows 7 64 is an upgrade from Vista 64. One person in another forum with the same problem resolved theirs by reinstalling Windows 7. But another got the same problem only after a fresh clean install of Windows 7 64 with the same GeForce 8400 GS and DMS-59 when it had previously worked in Vista.
