View 1 RepliesI have started to experience frequent crashes (freezes and sometime BSOD) with my x201. Nothing gets written to my minidump directory. I am unable to get the system to write to a memory.dmp file using the posted instructions. The most frequent error message I get is: The instruction at 0x00000000774CCB98 reference memory at 0x00000000719710B8. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000000e.
I ran memtest86 through 10 cycles with no errors. I am attaching the compressed output from the windows_NT6. As well as the perfmon report. As you will see I've disabled Bluetooth devices since the drivers weren't loading.
My Configuration:
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i7 620M @ 2.67GHz
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-20)
MB LENOVO 3249CTO
Graphics ThinkPad Display 1280x800 (1280x800@50Hz) Intel(R) HD Graphics
Crucial 250GB C300-CTFDDAA256MAG (SATA)
I hope someone can help me with this. I work from home (office is 70 miles away), and my Lenovo T420 Windows 7 will not stay connected via WiFi to my Verizon MI424WR ver I router. I had this problem with my old router (MI242WR rev E), and I was able to fix it by turning off the Power Management option to "power off to save power" My Lenovo is using Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Wifi chip. It reads as "working properly".
It seem obvious that there is an issue between the Lenovo and the new MI424. I have 10 other devices connecting to the MI424 without a problem. I have shut down devices to ensure that their is not an over burdening the AP issue.
Specifically, the Lenovo successfully pairs with the MI424, tries to establish an Internet connection, fails, and drops the connection (or the router does - I assume it is the laptop.) It's worked great for about 4 hours this am, then it quit working. I:
- shutdown the laptop, pulled power and battery
- shut off the network, pulled the plug and let it sit for a while
- restarted everything and the issue will not go away
It works fine @ work with a Cisco Network.
My company uses some McAfee SW for laptop security. Since I was blissfully working for hours and this just started up, I do not think that has anything to do with it.
I'm looking to purchase a micro projector - the AAXA M1 micro projector to be exact. This projector uses a USB to Projector connection to allow the images to be projected through the projector. It says that it uses drivers to do this, but I called AAXA and they said that Windows 7 is currently officially supported - that it may work but they can't make any guarantees.
Has anyone ever heard of a USB to Projector type of projector before? Anyone try the AAXA M1 on Windows 7? The projector looks really cool and is cheap ($299) but I want to make sure it works first...

I bought lenovo H415 desktop last Friday. However, it started to have BSOD yesterday. It's my first time using Windows 7 system. Please help me figure out the problem is software conflict or hardware defect.

Age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?): 1 month
I have removed Norton AV from my system using the Norton Removal tool. I ran system file checker and everything turned out OK.Also i have installed new Corsair Ram (8 GB) by myself. I have run Memtest on them without any errors.
my BSOD with Win7proSp1 on lenovo x200Tablet occures from time to time at the end of boot time, when the desktop is already visible. The only change I made to the original settings was to disactivate Bluetooth drivers since I do not use them. The error was present however also before that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a Sony Vaio labtop I bought 10 months ago in the US. I'm in Australia now but have no international warranty. Sony tells me to send the labtop to Sony repair so they can look at it. They trouble shooted over the phone but it didn't help. Asked me to reformat the hard drive which I really don't want to do. This is the problem:
The computer works fine and I can connect and browse the internet with my wireless connection. However, as soon as I connect another computer to the wireless network (or if I'm in a hotel using wireless it also happens because other computer are connected to the same network) I get the BSOD.
The problem is that I cannot say exactly when it happens. SOmetimes it happens within 1 minute of being connected and browsing. Yet sometimes it takes 20min or maybe 45min. I don't think I survived longer than 1h though with 2 computers on the same wireless network.
I didn't notice the problem at first because I only used the one computer. So, I think the problem has always been there but I didn't notice it until I connected a 2nd computer.
To get the blue screen I don't even have to actively browse. I could just scroll down on a page and it happens without warning.
I am getting a lot of BSOD when my laptop is connected to an external monitor using a display-port cable. The system is fine when I don't use a external monitor and use just laptop screen. External monitor is a Dell 30inch. I have tried different display-port cables, different monitors, tried connecting via vga...still get BSOD, so I am thinking the problem is more on the windows 7/software side rather than hardware.
1. Uninstall AVG free edition 2011
2. Upgraded network-gigabit driver directly from intel instead of Lenovo
3a. Upgraded Nvidia drivers directly from nvidia for Quadro 1000m (ver 8.17.12.7533 - 5/20/2011) - got BSOD within 30min
3b. Downgraded Nvidia drivers to version from Lenovo (ver 8.17.12.6696 - 2/2/2011) - still get BSOD but there is more time between BSODs.
I am using a lenovo w520 laptop, win 7 SP1, x64. 8gb memory, intel 510 solid-state drive, Nvidia Quadro 1000 and Intel HD Graphics 3000, No-Anti-Virus and running zone-alarm firewall.
i got an aaxa m2 projector and im not sure how to hook it up to my computer with windows 7. In xp i know how change the settings to i can have an extended desktop, or duplicate desktop which the projector then acts as a 2nd monitor but in windows 7 im not sure.. Is there some hotkey combination that lets me toggle through the settings?btw projector is pretty nifty! all the more reason i need to figure out how to get it to work on my laptop not just my desktop.

It used to work until June 4 at 5:30PM PST, when it stopped working during presentation. Before that it worked for 4 months. View 1 Replies View RelatedFollowing a Windows 7 update my laptop would no longer recognize my projector, which it had been doing for some years and immediately prior to the update. I also find that my laptop now no longer recognizes my monitor, which again it had been doing for some years. Different cables are used so it is not a cable problem. I have been through all the obvious things and have looked for updates to the graphic driver, but no better updates available. When I plug either of these items in to my laptop the screen resolution on my laptop changes as if it is recognizing the additional hardware, but in neither case is anything displayed on the remote device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am about to buy a projector to use as my TV, and I would like to use the projector as a second monitor on my windows 7 PC. What I would like to be able to do is watch TV from my tunercard, or movies from DVD and Blueray drives etc, on the projector, but retain the ability to browse or whatever on the main screen.I have been told that you cannot maximize the video in the second screen(projector) and still have access to the main screen with the mouse. Is this true? If so is there a workaround?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using RC1 on an HP Mini 2140 PC with 1024x576 resolution. I just can't work out how to set the projector and screen resolutions to different values. Projector resolution is 1024x768. If I use the "duplicate screen" setting, it insists on using the 1024x576 for the projector as well. The only thing I have been able to do is to have only monitor 2 turned on, and have the correct projector resolution but nothing on the PC screen.
That defeats the effort. I want to use the PowerPoint feature that allows presenters to see speakers notes on the PC, but they are not on the projector. Second best would be to have 1024x768 on the PC screen as well, even though I would have to scroll down to see it.
Ideas?
Running Windows 7 Ultimate. I wanted to connect my laptop to an external monitor so I pressed "Windows key + X", then clicked "connect display", then "extend."
On most computers, doing this will allow you to output the display to another monitor.
When I did it on my laptop, the screen started flickering and became garbled. It's too garbled to see, and I can't find the mouse and undo what I've done. I tried restarting but it's still like this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having the above mentioned problem with my fathers laptop. He's a teacher so we bought the laptop so he could show powerpoint-presentations on projector, but the laptop doesn't work with all projectors. The output is received by the external screen/projector but the projector doesn't realize that there is input. In the classroom that my father teaches this spring the projector will for like 5 or 10 seconds show the pc-screen and then turn off.We have a Sony-TV with VGA-plug so I tried connecting the laptop to our TV (different cable and different external screen). When I connect the cables, the TV doesn't automatically realize that there is a computer-input. But if I force the TV to show the "VGA-channel" the computer screen is shown perfectly on the TV. I believe the problem is similar on the projector, i.e. the screenpicture is sent trough the cable, but there's no "information" that there is a picture. To test if the computer receives information on the cable I tried the setting that the screen should only be seen on the external screen. As soon as I plug in the cable to the PC the screen goes blank, so the PC recognizes the cable. From PB's support homepage I tried installing/reinstalling the video-driver but unfortunately it didn't help.

I'm experiencing the following problem with my new Sony Vaio VPCSB3L9E/W, but I don't know the exact model projector because it is in a classroom, shield in a box on the roof.Well, whenever i connect my laptop using the commonly known Win + P the mouse pointer freezes. The keyboard is active and using the arrows I can send signal through the VGA port. The same happens with Fn + F7 shortcut.Has to do anything with the resolution ?Is there any short-cut to re-enable the mouse if it is somehow disabled ?
