View 1 Replies View RelatedI have ASUS tablet with Windows 7. I use USB to VGA converter to connect to VGA projector. It used to work until June 4 at 5:30PM PST, when it stopped working during presentation. Before that it worked for 4 months. Looking at control panel adjusting external display if I select duplicate to projector I only get my computer display. It says it does not detect external display.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCan anyone advise how I would go about fixing this. I am trying to connect to a network (I have a dell running on windows 7) and it keeps telling me that windows is unable to connect to the network-this is before I can even enter the security key. I know it is not a problem with the wireless because other people are able to connect to it fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to purchase a micro projector - the AAXA M1 micro projector to be exact. This projector uses a USB to Projector connection to allow the images to be projected through the projector. It says that it uses drivers to do this, but I called AAXA and they said that Windows 7 is currently officially supported - that it may work but they can't make any guarantees.
Has anyone ever heard of a USB to Projector type of projector before? Anyone try the AAXA M1 on Windows 7? The projector looks really cool and is cheap ($299) but I want to make sure it works first...

Since yesterday I can't connect to the modem with my desktop pc(windows 7 x64). I get APIPA as IP adress(169.254.*.*). Tho I could go on internet with my notebook with the cable I use for desktop PC.
this is how my connection looks like. I got only modem & switch between my connection to the internet. note: I have no fileserver.
I've checked the following things with my other PC(=notebook windows 7 x86): modem, switch, cable and my network card and everything did work fine. note: I did use the same cable as I was using for the desktop PC to be sure that the cableline was fine. I made the next tests with my desktop PC.
Then done the next ones without success:system restore(1 week)winsock fixreinstalling the networkcardgiving static IP adress
My network card settings are the same for the both PC, set to automatically obtain IP address and DNS server addresses
ipconfig /all of my desktop pc.(not working) Code: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

I recently moved from an XP machine to Windows 7 Home premium and I am now unable to connect to network shares, printers, etc at work. This is a laptop that I use both at home and at work and it's not in the domain (neither was the XP machine). On the XP machine I just mapped network drives and printers using the server name and then used my network credentials (domainusername and password). The Windows 7 machine is in the network (it's wired through ethernet) and I can access the internet through our proxy server. When I look under "Network", I see all of the servers and clients on the network, but when I try to connect to one of them, I am prompted for login/password- once I enter these, it says "Logon failure: unknown username or bad password".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had an existing pc with windows xp home. I just purchased a new pc with windows 7 home. Why I connected the windows 7 pc to the internet using dlink router I was able to access the internet. On the next day though, when I tried to connect again, I was not able to access the internet. Here are the tasks that I have already carried out to check the connectivity.
1. The windows 7 computer has a valid IP address, which means that ARP is working fine and my router is dispensing the addresses correctly.
2. When I try to ping the modem-router, there is no reply. So I am not able to access router using ICMP.
3. My old windows xp pc is able to connect and browse the internet. The problem is only with my new windows 7 pc.
I'm running the Windows 7 64bit, the printer is connected to the XP. That printer is not a network printer (Hp 5740,and 5520) , and shared from a Desktop running WinXP 32 bit. I cannot install it via network access ?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am currently installing a Win 7 box. When I first set things up I was able to get onto my Linux server in Network -> [server name], by logging in to Win 7 using the same user name and password set up on the Linux box.A short while later I am unable to connect - I get a dialog prompting me to enter a user name and password and a message "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password". If I re-enter my user name and password the dialog comes back again.

Is there some hotkey combination that lets me toggle through the settings?btw projector is pretty nifty! all the more reason i need to figure out how to get it to work on my laptop not just my desktop.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently started using Win 7 on a Toshiba laptop (4gig Ram, i5 processor) but have been unable to connect with the HP Laserjet 1200. I have followed the threads provided in this forum but am unable to print to the 1200. The printer is connected via a USB port. The printer/USB port is recognized as USB printing support. I have previously loaded the HP laserjet 1200 PCL5 driver and have now tried loading the HP Universal Printing PCL6 driver. In both situations the printer driver is seen under the printers/fax (in the Devices/Printers page) as either the Laserjet 1200 PCL5 or the HP PCL6.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy windows 7 machine is unable to connect to my internet through the wireless bridge I've set up on my WRT54G using DD-WRT. It seems to be connected to the network as it sees the other computers that are on it but there is no internet access. View 2 Replies View RelatedFollowing a Windows 7 update my laptop would no longer recognize my projector, which it had been doing for some years and immediately prior to the update. I also find that my laptop now no longer recognizes my monitor, which again it had been doing for some years. Different cables are used so it is not a cable problem. I have been through all the obvious things and have looked for updates to the graphic driver, but no better updates available. When I plug either of these items in to my laptop the screen resolution on my laptop changes as if it is recognizing the additional hardware, but in neither case is anything displayed on the remote device.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I first reinstalled the windows 7 it worked fine and I was connected to the Internet using my belkin USB adapter. But after moving my computer to a new room the Internet connection stopped working. Ive ran trouble shooters over and over and it says its a router or adapter issue, but all the other computers in the house are connected to the Internet just fine. I've reconfigured everything, restored and I was told to post here!I also want to add that it connects to the Internet but after about a minute it gets the triangle with the ! And acts connected but I cannot open any web pages or open any online games. When I trouble shoot it still tells me that Its in the adapter, router, modem, gateway or related issue.
