Stuttering While Listening To Streaming Audio?
Jun 13, 2012Looking for ways to solve stuttering while listening to streaming audio, discovered that when stuttering occurred, System CPU usage was above 20%. At 20 or below, no stutter, although DPC Latency Checker might show latency around 150-200.Checked all drivers, etc, as suggested by DPC info box.Finally, tried stopping all services related to WD. Western Digital's file management software seems to be the problem. I did stop every one of them and have had not stutter for approaching half an hour. Stuttering was occurring every minute or so, lasting a moment, or several.This may not be the only problem, but so far so good.

Dec 25, 2011I just finished building my new pc and got it up and running today, but it has bluescreened six or seven times since I've been using it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it last night and the BSOD will pop up after 10 minutes of browsing or doing light work or even after playing a couple hours of Skyrim. Very random. I looked over some of the dump files to see a pattern but I think there are multiple things causing the BSOD. All of the hardware is new and this is my first time building a pc, though I am fairly certain that all of the hardware components are put together correctly, so I'm not sure if I need to upgrade a certain driver or what. My specs are listed under the profile and the dump files and health report are attached.

Jan 28, 2012Windows will happily output sound to my headset but there is no input from the mic. I have a xonar dg as my soundcard. The headset mic has been tested on a laptop and works The microphone mute button the the headset cable is set correctly The jack is correctly in On plugging in (and fiddling with the jack) the mic I can see noise in CP/Sound window It has been tested on the front panel, the soundcard jack & motherboard jacks Drivers have been wiped and reinstalled System restores had no effect A reinstallation of windows keeping programs & settings had no effect The mic is not muted or set too low in Control Panel / Sound The mic in my webcam works correctly (USB) Connections inside the case are not loose Toggling the front mic option in Cp/Sound/Recording/(the mic)/properties/custom has no effect I also managed to get the mic to work (badly) for a few seconds after windows reinstalled. After I plugged in the headphone jack, the mic went dead and hasn't recovered since. The mic has worked on this PC before, it seems some setting / software / driver is mucking up.

I have a pair of Gearhead Headset AU6000 that I was using for gaming on my other XP machine. This headset came with an installation disk for XP and was plug and play for Vista. It won't install in Win 7, if I use the disk it acts like it's going to install, but just stops there. I've been to Gearhead's website looking for drivers, but in a word what a joke that was. I have also been unsuccessful finding any drivers in my web searches. Does anyone know if there are drivers for this device that will work in Win 7, or I'm beating a dead horse here?

Oct 23, 2009I have inbuilt bluetooth in my laptop (running Windows 7 ultimate) with HP/widcomm drivers installed. I have Sony HBH-DS980 A2DP capable stereo bluetooth headset. I want to use it with my laptop as stereo headphones (listening music) + internet telephony headset (voice chats, skype etc). First of all it was pain to connect the this headphones with laptop. It took me many many many tries to pair this correctly. Now that its connected, I cant get it to make a connection between laptop and headphones. I tried pressing the button on headphone to initiate a connection, and also tried to make connection by pressing the connect button in headset's bluetooth control window with no results. However it does connect once in a while (I would say less than 10% of the times). The same setup used to work fine when I had vista. What is wrong with Windows 7?

The problems im having is one is the driver disk i got with the dongle wont install, it just says install failed. and the other is the headset wont recognise as a headset for some reason. I have tried installing broadcom's drivers, removing registry keys, new bluetooth profile name [Device Manager > Bluetooth > Advanced Name], and pairing multiple times and rebooting.I don't understand what is going wrong, the bluetooth adapter works with wiimote, a lot of people have no problem at all pairing up with their 905i headset, broadcom's drivers is suppose to be the end-all fix for bluetooth issues, but yet nothing has fixed it.

Headset Issue
Jun 14, 2009I have a headset/mic and a set of speakers, I have my speakers plugged into Front Speaker port and headset into rear, on XP this worked fine as I could use both at once or turn off the speakers and just use my headset, it appears in Windows 7 this isn't the case.
I have the latest Realtek drivers and tried the registry change and nothing has allowed me to use both at once.
I'm trying to use Ventrilo and I can only get sound through my speakers and as I'm trying to speak to people this isn't the best audio source.
Anyone found a fix for this problem as I really like Windows 7, but I need this to work.
Usb Headset Glitchy
Jul 3, 2009I recently upgraded from Windows 7 build 6978 to 7100 and now my Logitech A-0374a usb headset does not work completely. The biggest problem I have is that if it is not a windows sound it is very distorted. For instance when I got to pandora on firefox I can hear the music fine but if any lyrics are played then it is lost in the lyrics. Also it crackles the entire time.
Also if someone talks in ventrilo and I don't have them turned up by 800% then can't even tell they said anything and even at 800% it is like a whisper. On another note my realtek audio works perfectly fine.
