Computer Does Not Recognize Headset With Microphone
Jan 30, 2012My headset with microphone woks fine with Skype but I am unable to use it for interactive websites (languages)
I have a webcam which has an inbuilt microphone but I use the microphone on the headset for Skype because the webcam mike is not sensitive enough.

Windows Not Detecting Input From Headset
Jan 28, 2012Windows will happily output sound to my headset but there is no input from the mic. I have a xonar dg as my soundcard. The headset mic has been tested on a laptop and works The microphone mute button the the headset cable is set correctly The jack is correctly in On plugging in (and fiddling with the jack) the mic I can see noise in CP/Sound window It has been tested on the front panel, the soundcard jack & motherboard jacks Drivers have been wiped and reinstalled System restores had no effect A reinstallation of windows keeping programs & settings had no effect The mic is not muted or set too low in Control Panel / Sound The mic in my webcam works correctly (USB) Connections inside the case are not loose Toggling the front mic option in Cp/Sound/Recording/(the mic)/properties/custom has no effect I also managed to get the mic to work (badly) for a few seconds after windows reinstalled. After I plugged in the headphone jack, the mic went dead and hasn't recovered since. The mic has worked on this PC before, it seems some setting / software / driver is mucking up.

Feb 21, 2012I recently built a new machine (full specs in my profile). It's running great, except for one issue that I'm having. I have a pair of Gearhead Headset AU6000 that I was using for gaming on my other XP machine. This headset came with an installation disk for XP and was plug and play for Vista. It won't install in Win 7, if I use the disk it acts like it's going to install, but just stops there. I've been to Gearhead's website looking for drivers, but in a word what a joke that was. I have also been unsuccessful finding any drivers in my web searches. Does anyone know if there are drivers for this device that will work in Win 7, or I'm beating a dead horse here?

Whenever I plug in my headset it says it is not played in and when i hover over the sound thing it says sound is coming from the speakers. However, I hear nothing from my speakers. Now when I unplug it says it has found the device and sound is now coming through it. Needless to say I hear no sound from it or my built in speakers.

Oct 23, 2009I have inbuilt bluetooth in my laptop (running Windows 7 ultimate) with HP/widcomm drivers installed. I have Sony HBH-DS980 A2DP capable stereo bluetooth headset. I want to use it with my laptop as stereo headphones (listening music) + internet telephony headset (voice chats, skype etc). First of all it was pain to connect the this headphones with laptop. It took me many many many tries to pair this correctly. Now that its connected, I cant get it to make a connection between laptop and headphones. I tried pressing the button on headphone to initiate a connection, and also tried to make connection by pressing the connect button in headset's bluetooth control window with no results. However it does connect once in a while (I would say less than 10% of the times). The same setup used to work fine when I had vista. What is wrong with Windows 7?

The problems im having is one is the driver disk i got with the dongle wont install, it just says install failed. and the other is the headset wont recognise as a headset for some reason. The headset works on mine and the Mrs mobile phones with out a problem.Is there something iv missed out? Iv looked on-line but cant find anything specificity about my situation.

I have tried installing broadcom's drivers, removing registry keys, new bluetooth profile name [Device Manager > Bluetooth > Advanced Name], and pairing multiple times and rebooting.I don't understand what is going wrong, the bluetooth adapter works with wiimote, a lot of people have no problem at all pairing up with their 905i headset, broadcom's drivers is suppose to be the end-all fix for bluetooth issues, but yet nothing has fixed it.

and when they shipped it to me there was no CD's with it but said to make recovery CD's so I made them buy a wizard.
Headset Issue
Jun 14, 2009I have a headset/mic and a set of speakers, I have my speakers plugged into Front Speaker port and headset into rear, on XP this worked fine as I could use both at once or turn off the speakers and just use my headset, it appears in Windows 7 this isn't the case.
I have the latest Realtek drivers and tried the registry change and nothing has allowed me to use both at once.
I'm trying to use Ventrilo and I can only get sound through my speakers and as I'm trying to speak to people this isn't the best audio source.
Anyone found a fix for this problem as I really like Windows 7, but I need this to work.
Usb Headset Glitchy
Jul 3, 2009I recently upgraded from Windows 7 build 6978 to 7100 and now my Logitech A-0374a usb headset does not work completely. The biggest problem I have is that if it is not a windows sound it is very distorted. For instance when I got to pandora on firefox I can hear the music fine but if any lyrics are played then it is lost in the lyrics. Also it crackles the entire time.
Also if someone talks in ventrilo and I don't have them turned up by 800% then can't even tell they said anything and even at 800% it is like a whisper. On another note my realtek audio works perfectly fine.
Logitech Usb Headset
May 10, 2009I'm having a problem with my headset. Whenever i play a game or listen to music, after about 5-10 minutes the sound turns into gargled crap. Like a choppy, sputtering static noise. I'm using 'Digital Precision Headset' by Logitech. It has worked fine for me on XP, so i don't see what the problem could be. The driver sofware comes with windows, so logitech doesnt offer driver support for it. I did however un-plug/plug-in to see if windows(7) would reinstall the drivers. It did, but i still cant get them to work right. Which sucks for online gamming, because i dont have another mic to use.

I have a Jawbone Prime that I wish to use with vent and skype but cannot get the bluetooth device peripheral driver to install. I have attempted using the Broadcom software linked in most posts but it does not do anything but remain on the searching for devices page. I've also attempted to use the Asus software that is recommended in some posts but although it installs only provides me with a small window saying there is no bluetooth device present.
The computer finds the headset, but I cannot get it working. Can someone help me?
