Starting yesterday I have been having audio problems. Whenever I plug in my headset it says it is not played in and when i hover over the sound thing it says sound is coming from the speakers. However, I hear nothing from my speakers. Now when I unplug it says it has found the device and sound is now coming through it. Needless to say I hear no sound from it or my built in speakers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAOTBE, this doesn't happen at all when I have a normal PS2 KB/Mouse plugged in. However when I replace that with USB KB/Mouse there is a problem. This has been happens whether I use my Logitech USB KB with Logitech Mouse. And the same with Razer KB and Razer Mouse. So I'm presuming this happens with any KB/Mouse plugged in by USB. I'm in Windows. I hit reset, and it freezes at the post. I'm in Windows. I shut down the PC. The next time, I power it up, it goes through a really really long boot to Windows. Then the screen goes blank. The only way to resolve this is by completely powering off my PC. Meaning I shut it down. Then flip the switch on the PSU to off. Only when the power to the PSU has been switched off will the PC boot all the way into Windows when turned on and powered up. And even in this case, it takes a pretty long time to boot. IDK if Windows 7 normally should take that long.

When I install Windows 7 x64 and plug in my mouse or printer right away they will discover the drivers and work automagically.After I go through the Windows updates they just don't seem to work anymore. The only thing I've been able to do to get them to work is run this little MS program(http://windows.micro...ith-USB-devices) I found that apparently forces what I have plugged into the USB port and isn't responding to install drivers and work. I just don't know what to do so I don't have to run this program any time I try to plug something into the USB ports.What's kind of strange is I have an external drive that I plug in and it works before and after the updates without running that program. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong?
Using a HP Pavilion g7 1075dx Notebook PC just fyi.dit: Actually I just tested unplugging the mouse and printer after they were working, restarting the system, and trying to plug them back in again. They don't work again. So as it stands I would have to run that little MS Fix It program every time I plug them in to get them to work.
I have Apacer 32GB SSD and I have 64 bit version of Windows 7 installed on it. Peformence is nice and fast but for some reason Windows just freezes (1-2 times a day or so) because no SSD is present. I am able to open my computer before total freeze and no SSD is present! Then I just unplug the SSD SATA cable and plug it back in a voila! PC unfrozes and SSD is present. What seems to be the problem? I have motherboard about 1 year old and I did download/install all latest drivers. SSD has about 7GB of free space and gets pleny of cooling

At first it could happen during games and at start up.I first thought it was the program "magicdisk" that was the problem. One of the BSOD blamed it on a system file used by that program, but after Uninstall I still get BSOD.I tried to revert back to an old system image, but that didn't help. And it also added "magicdisk" back, but this time I couldn't uninstall it. It said it was already uninstalled, but the registry files was still there. So I tried to clean out any remaining files and drivers from the program.

Shouldn't I be able to "mount" it and read the data? I am planning on moving the data to some external HDDs, reformat the HDDs and then put the user data files back in HDD-1.

The headset mic has been tested on a laptop and works The microphone mute button the the headset cable is set correctly The jack is correctly in On plugging in (and fiddling with the jack) the mic I can see noise in CP/Sound window It has been tested on the front panel, the soundcard jack & motherboard jacks Drivers have been wiped and reinstalled System restores had no effect A reinstallation of windows keeping programs & settings had no effect The mic is not muted or set too low in Control Panel / Sound The mic in my webcam works correctly (USB) Connections inside the case are not loose Toggling the front mic option in Cp/Sound/Recording/(the mic)/properties/custom has no effect I also managed to get the mic to work (badly) for a few seconds after windows reinstalled. After I plugged in the headphone jack, the mic went dead and hasn't recovered since. The mic has worked on this PC before, it seems some setting / software / driver is mucking up.

I have a pair of Gearhead Headset AU6000 that I was using for gaming on my other XP machine. This headset came with an installation disk for XP and was plug and play for Vista. It won't install in Win 7, if I use the disk it acts like it's going to install, but just stops there. I've been to Gearhead's website looking for drivers, but in a word what a joke that was. I have also been unsuccessful finding any drivers in my web searches. Does anyone know if there are drivers for this device that will work in Win 7, or I'm beating a dead horse here?

Configured sound settings to 7.1 audio. There is no sound through the headset when running the test sound. The volume control dialogue box shows audio levels are being produced (green level indicator moves up and down).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have inbuilt bluetooth in my laptop (running Windows 7 ultimate) with HP/widcomm drivers installed. I have Sony HBH-DS980 A2DP capable stereo bluetooth headset. I want to use it with my laptop as stereo headphones (listening music) + internet telephony headset (voice chats, skype etc). First of all it was pain to connect the this headphones with laptop. It took me many many many tries to pair this correctly. Now that its connected, I cant get it to make a connection between laptop and headphones. I tried pressing the button on headphone to initiate a connection, and also tried to make connection by pressing the connect button in headset's bluetooth control window with no results. However it does connect once in a while (I would say less than 10% of the times). The same setup used to work fine when I had vista. What is wrong with Windows 7?

Sometimes it also hangs suddenly. But everything works fine in safe mode. No virus -Quick Heal and No malware even in online panda security scanning.
