i am running window 7 home premium 64 bit on my hp probook 4530s recently hp did all of the bios an other updatto my laptop and now whenever i watch a video, listen to music or try to play a game it stutters i've tried updating an downgrading my graphic card driver my sound card the video card is a intel HD graphics 3000.
View 2 RepliesFor a last few weeks while playing some games i get my games run normaly on 60 fps for 15-20minutes, and than stuttering starts. It happens every 2 minutes, my fps goes down to 5-8, and it stays like that for 10 seconds, and than after 2 minutes again the same thing.
Also tryed SpeedFan and got these results(While playing APB relaoded):
Processor temp: 62-69 Gpu temp: 56-60
My pc specs:
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz

View 7 Replies View RelatedLooking for ways to solve stuttering while listening to streaming audio, discovered that when stuttering occurred, System CPU usage was above 20%. At 20 or below, no stutter, although DPC Latency Checker might show latency around 150-200.Checked all drivers, etc, as suggested by DPC info box.Finally, tried stopping all services related to WD. Western Digital's file management software seems to be the problem. I did stop every one of them and have had not stutter for approaching half an hour. Stuttering was occurring every minute or so, lasting a moment, or several.This may not be the only problem, but so far so good.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy desktop keeps stuttering every few minutes or so. I have all of the drivers up to date and I cannot figure out what is wrong. The problem occurs the most while watching Netflix and playing games, but happens pretty regularly in general.

Whenever I am playing music on my computer. Whether it be Spotify or Pandora.. and I go to a certain type of website, it triggers the blue screen of death. It seemed random, but I have a certain site I can get to trigger the bsod ever time if musics on... not if it is off

I have attached all of the necessary BSOD items. Is Windows 7 . . . - x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? X64 - the original installed OS on the system? Yes. Original - an OEM or full retail version? OEM - OEM = came pre-installed on system - Full Retail = you purchased it from retailer - What is the age of system (hardware)? 1 month - What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) Same. Have not re-installed OS.
I just finished building my new pc and got it up and running today, but it has bluescreened six or seven times since I've been using it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it last night and the BSOD will pop up after 10 minutes of browsing or doing light work or even after playing a couple hours of Skyrim. Very random. I looked over some of the dump files to see a pattern but I think there are multiple things causing the BSOD. All of the hardware is new and this is my first time building a pc, though I am fairly certain that all of the hardware components are put together correctly, so I'm not sure if I need to upgrade a certain driver or what. My specs are listed under the profile and the dump files and health report are attached.

My laptop runs fine when I play games, or browse, as long as i don't watch videos or listen to music, it doesn't mind if online or from my drive. Tried different software but no luck. I would think it's hardware, but i don't have this problem on linux.I ran windows 8 for a few days, didn't see the freezing there, but I don't like the OS.I think the problem is with the audio drivers or something, I tried old and new ones, but no result.I am running Windows 7 ultimate 32bit (64 doesn't help either). View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.

I find many people on those forms would reply with "defrag the hard drive", which is not related to stuttering.Ok, so reading thread after thread on this problem I have found something that is playing a huge roll into this. One of the biggest fixes I read about is "roll back to the older video drives . . ." and a lot of people said that worked, but it seemed for the majority this didn't work. It certainly didn't work for me.Alright, here is the deal. I too suffer these damn "micro" stutters. You notice them mostly when looking down on the ground in your games and moving forward as well walking forward and looking to the side at the same time. It's hella-annoying.
Time after time, fresh install, tweaking the OS out, changing this changing that. Even latest and greatest drivers.Then I found out the most interesting thing about this problem: chipset drivers. Before I go into this I want to mention that in Windows XP Pro I do not have 'any' stuttering in my games whatsoever.Ok, the big find in Windows 7 that's causing these stutters (from what I have researched) thus far. Windows 7 is not allowing me to actually install the chipset drivers. After downloading the drivers either from Intel or Gigabytes webiste neither will install. (yes, I do "Run as Administrator" )However the chipset drivers for the SATA hardware 'does' install, but the PCI bus and everything else, Windows 7 refuses to use those drives and instead only uses the Microsoft drivers.I have NO doubt in my mind that this is why myself and thousands of others are having these stuttering problems due to the chipset drivers not being properly installed by the OS itself.lright, so what can I do to get Windows 7 to use/install my Chipset drivers, and has anyone ever heard of this? I run the inf installer (run as administrator) and sure enough as I watch it install it only goes off and installs the SATA drivers and turns around and tells me it's completed. Going into Device Manager the PCI Bus and other motherboard drivers are using Microsoft drivers only.
which is a toshiba l750-0dp. i have downloaded a program called latencymon which basically looks at what processes are causing the highest page fault resolution time. so the service thats causing the most pfr is ndis.sys, apparently this is related to the network drivers and also tcpip.sys causes the same issue. i have downloaded a few drivers from my manufacturer's website trying to fix the issue to no avail. it would come up every now and then after using my computer for a minutes. like 30 mins in to it, even if im just browsing the net watching Internet or that sort of type of things. i also noticed that there is a big spike of lag on modern warfare 3 now which never used to happen, as i have been using the computer for 7 months now this just suddenly came out of the blue.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing mouse lag/stuttering in a few games recently, however this only occurs when looking around in a game. The two games that currently do this, are Borderlands 2 and BRINK, however I believe more do which I have not found. I know this does not occur in Skyrim and also Protype 2. This does not occur when "aiming down the sights" in these games, only when looking around normally. I have all drivers updated, tried different mouses, mouse acceleration, mouse smoothing, v-syncs, dropping all graphics to low, looking around for other issues, but nothing seems to be quite the same. I'm using a GTX 670 with a Razer Naga, complete specs in my profile.

I used to think that it was due to my wireless headphones not being very good quality but I get it with my good quality wired earphones. Anyone got any ideas???? I would tell you what my sound card is but I don't know where to find the details also, it is a laptop. View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded win 7 4 days ago, for now it's working fine but having problems with my music files, I did a back up of my files, have restored all my files but when I try to do the music files it freezes I noticed that my processor dual core 2 runs at 100%, when I cancel the operation processor goes down to about 2to 5%, this happens also when I open window media player, I just downloaded Itunes that I use for my Ipod, I try to open Itunes and nothing happens, any advise on what could be the problem??

I have 5 hard drives installed. 3 for storing sound sample libraries, 1 SSD for the OS, and a spare 2TB hdd to install any other programs I need and for general storage.Most times when I try to open Sonar X1 (software for music production) it takes about a minute to load. I know it's not the power of the computer holding it back because it has, although rarely, loaded up straight away. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I've installed Sonar X1 on the spare 2TB hdd.On a possibly related note,some mp3's on the 2TB hdd play for a while and then stop, only to continue playing about a minute later. Driving me nuts.
I am running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and have not installed any new software apart from The Witcher game a few days ago. Now after 30 mins of switching the PC on the pc freezes but the music from winamp keeps playing and the mouse is able to move. Only option is to do a hard reset of the machine. Could this be a hard drive fault?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just built a new PC with win 7 professional 64 bit. Has amd FX-8150 on Sabretooth 990fx board. Has an ASUS 7850 graphics card, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM and a SB Recon 3d PCIe sound card. All drivers are up to date and BIOS is as well. The issue I am experiencing is random restarts, no BSOD, just crash and restart. I tried the other diagnostics from other posts and the HD checked out fine, so did the memtest and windows file integrity. I did also run the verifier.exe and it threw an error and gave me an actual BSOD. I have included the dmp file for that incident in the Seven Forums zip file.

I tried deactivating all the unnecessary start-up programs but it keeps doing it.
