Audio On Laptop Dragging While Playing Videos And Music?
Feb 21, 2012
My audio on my laptop is dragging when i am playing music or music videos on it or any videos for that matter. What do i need to do? Is there maybe something i need to download to make the audio play better?
i recently bought a "hp pavilion g series" laptop. the problem is that whenever i stream music or videos from my music file or from Internet, it always makes a buzzing sound.
I have new Dell 2250 laptop and I'm trying to figure out a way to turn off the screen after a few minutes while I have the Windows Media Player going? I have tried this on my desktops over the years and never had any luck so I usually just turned off the monitor manually.
My laptop has been playing random ads and music, literally out of nowhere. I click out of everything turn off the wifi AND logout and it will still be playing. Its been doing that on and off for months. My other protection expired some months ago, so I got the update last week which was $89. But the 1st thing it said was to "Uninstall the previous security system". So i let it run, and it was "uninstalling" for 3 whole days and then it just stopped, So i tried to manually uninstall the other program, but again it would not. I am not sure what to do now.
When listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.
I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7. My problem is that with any video, music, instructional or otherwise, it will play for only a few seconds, stop then start again after approx. a minute or so. This keeps repeating and makes watching any videos impossible. I first noticed it on You Tube, but now it is on any videos anywhere. I tried to preview a musical greeting card to send to a friend, and the audio on that did the same thing.
I ripped my DVD music videos, and when i try to add them to itunes, they go to the Movies library. I want them in the Music Video library. Any one know how i can add them to to music video library?
recently, i have had many bsod consecutively. recently, i have had about 9 bsod over about 5 days (although the report lists a break between my bsod between 2/21 and 3/27 because i was on break for most of this). in the past i have gotten bsod while playing games, but the recent ones have been while doing mundane tasks such as browsing the internet or watching Internet videos?i have used bluescreenview to try to discover the cause of my problem, but every bsod seems to have a different error and file associated with it. many of them are blamed on ntoskrnl.exe, but have different error messages. some are from different files.i am running windows 7 64 bit on a desktop i built about 15 months ago. since then, i have gotten many error messages, but more recently. i have 8 gb of ram, geforce gtx 470, amb phenom ii black multicore processor, and gigabyte 890gpa-ud3h motherboard. i assembled the desktop components and installed all software new onto the computer.
things i have tried recently: resetting the ram in different slots, running antivirus (i have avg free, malwarebytes, and spybot), cleaning the computer fans, uninstalling/driversweeping the video card drivers and reinstalling, disabling the motherboard sound card through bios so the external sound card i have installed does not interfere, running cmd /chkdsk with fix to try to correct any errors found. i have been dealing with bsod a lot frequently, although it has usually only been about 1 per week in the past. these are extremely frequent recently with multiple per day and it is interfering with my work. attached are the files requested.
Recently I noticed that my 500GB hard drive was beginning to get full. It has everything on it. I installed a second hard drive, 1TB, and my intention was to keep all of the programs and OS on the primary 500GB hard drive and transfer all of my documents (pics, vids, docs & music) to the 1TB drive.
When I go to C:UsersMyName and I go to "cut" a folder like MyMusic and then "paste" it in my new E: drive, it says that the folder is shared and if I move it others will not be able to use it.
Now, before I do this, with MyMusic, MyPictures, etc. I have a question: By moving these over to the E: drive (the new 1TB) drive, am I going to do something I regret, like losing access to these files, the OS not being able to find them, or something like that?
As the title states, I cannot get my music, pictures and videos links to show up on the right side of my start menu. I have used all of Brink's tutorials and or registry hacks and double checked everything...but to no resolve.
On Windows 7 I installed the xbox 360 extender using Media Center, all my media files show up, but after exiting the extender, all my media files do not show anymore on their default windows folders for Pictures, Videos, and Music. Re-enter Media Center, and I am able to see all my media files, but unable to reach them through my PC, even after exiting again, and using my PC normally.
1- Advance searched my files to no avail, restored WMP library to no avail, restarted several times to no avail. 2- Used old Vista tricks in regedit to no avail, files still don't show up, they only do when I start the extender, and I see them through the extender only. 3- Restored to previous point in history on Windows to no avail. 4- Disabled WMP and WMC in Windows services and features, and re-enabled them, to no avail.
I have just built a new machine i5 4gb 2 x 3tb WD ASUS p8z68 motherboard.. System works beautifully.. very nice. However, I have just installed a clean activated real copy of windows 7 home premium and when I enter the menus of Media Center. Pictures, Videos the blue "thinking" ring scrolls for 10 seconds and then enters the next menu with the Folder being displayed. In the music section, I have 2 test folders in there and it waits for 8 seconds after you press play a song! Recorded tv and guide work great. Indexing was also completed.
When I play music, I keep getting interference like a crackly sound. I used to think that it was due to my wireless headphones not being very good quality but I get it with my good quality wired earphones. Anyone got any ideas???? I would tell you what my sound card is but I don't know where to find the details also, it is a laptop. I think it maybe Realtek high definition audio that features somewhere, but I don't know where to find more details.
I downloaded win 7 4 days ago, for now it's working fine but having problems with my music files, I did a back up of my files, have restored all my files but when I try to do the music files it freezes I noticed that my processor dual core 2 runs at 100%, when I cancel the operation processor goes down to about 2to 5%, this happens also when I open window media player, I just downloaded Itunes that I use for my Ipod, I try to open Itunes and nothing happens, any advise on what could be the problem??
I keep having random ads, music, and noises playing in my background and it's unpredictable. I have ZeroAccess rootkit on my laptop. I have an HP and got my laptop a little over a year ago but I was never given a CD to help reformat my system. I was wondering if there's a way I don't need that or a bootable USB to reformat my system.
I think I have a virus, because my PC is playing music randomly out of nowhere. When it first happened I had Firefox open and I was on skype. I closed both of them and it continued playing.
Also my antivirus expired not too long ago, and my email got hacked too. It was sending spam with a file attached to all of my contacts.
windows 7 operating system have both internet explorer and mozilla.usually use mozilla foxfire.both are up to date.have adobe 10.2 up to date.when playing videos from any source they stop and start constantly on their own.doesn't happen ALL the time but probably 95% of the time. what do i do to solve the problem? please don't get to technical because you'll lose me i have hp 6510f. amd athlon II 635.
just recently bought a new computer and encountered some problems on video playback and on games. on videos the video plays normally until some time the videos becomes jittery with green and pink lines, if i leave it that way it usually results into a "display driver has stopped responding...." or it goes bsod. this also happens on Internet and other video streaming sites. on games it's pretty much the same but it crashes and goes bsod or display driver has blah blah.... i pretty much updated all the drivers needed mobo, video card and win7 updates and it still haunts me, but then again i can still play videos and do gaming
While playing a game, or watching a video on a website or a player it freezes and gives me the BSOD and oh, I did not find the "save as" in "file" in the preformance monitor Attachment 208535,as for the other requested file, here it is: Attachment 208536.
i have this problem with my pc. when i play you tube video"s and other video"s online, the area where the video is playing on the screen goes green(not the whole screen),and i cant see the video,it is quite random coz some you tube video"s work ok,my adobe flash player is up to date,i reinstalled windows 7 64bit a few weeks ago,my system was running fine and then started to do this,it is fine when gaming,no problems,i will list my pc spec"s below

First time building my own computer, i7 2011 Chipset, 12GB RAM and a Zotac 560 ti GPU. I can watch videos but 8/10 times it will freeze part way through playing and then I have to reset it, Graphics drivers are up to date I can't think of anything else.
A friends PC keeps crashing after a few hours of usage (watching movies, listening to music). I've been attempting to troubleshoot it but I'm not to sure about how to find the cause of the problem. Based on my google search, which led me here, it's caused by either RAM, HDD, Drivers or overheating. I unfortunately can't get the dump right now, but I did get the info from the event log.The computer has rebooted from bugcheck. The bugcheck was 0x00000124 (0x000000..., 0xfffffa8003560038, 0x00000000b2000000, 0x000000001040080f). Problem Event Name: BluescreenOS Version 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1Locale ID: 1033Service Pack: 1_0Product: 256_1Does this info narrow down the issue, or is it just generalizing the problem down to what's been stated before?
i am running window 7 home premium 64 bit on my hp probook 4530s recently hp did all of the bios an other updatto my laptop and now whenever i watch a video, listen to music or try to play a game it stutters i've tried updating an downgrading my graphic card driver my sound card the video card is a intel HD graphics 3000.
-i7 2600k CPU -32GB RAM -ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Motherboard etc. -Windows 7 Pro
I have 5 hard drives installed. 3 for storing sound sample libraries, 1 SSD for the OS, and a spare 2TB hdd to install any other programs I need and for general storage. Most times when I try to open Sonar X1 (software for music production) it takes about a minute to load. I know it's not the power of the computer holding it back because it has, although rarely, loaded up straight away. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I've installed Sonar X1 on the spare 2TB hdd.On a possibly related note, some mp3's on the 2TB hdd play for a while and then stop, only to continue playing about a minute later. Driving me nuts.
i am having the famous bsod when watching video, using mpc for local and flash (Internet) for online after an hour or so from when i start watching. i noticed that the crash happens more often when i use often the seek-bar and jump to various points of the movie. codecs dont think are the problem for they are regularly updated. this crash sometimes happen when i am playing games an hour or so after the start.
I have bought and used Biostar hd 5670 card for a few week ago. I got many experience about this card because it always go blank while I try to play the videos like .mp4 .mkv and HD movies. It also on media decoding assesement and watching videos online. This problems blow up after close the player or done watching. I tried a lots of solution like update adobe flash player, update AMD Catalyst to Version 12.10, Test with other motherboard, change PSU+more. Finally it still the same. Or it need to configure a crossfirex to work?. It still works well for gaming just video problems.
