I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7. My problem is that with any video, music, instructional or otherwise, it will play for only a few seconds, stop then start again after approx. a minute or so. This keeps repeating and makes watching any videos impossible. I first noticed it on You Tube, but now it is on any videos anywhere. I tried to preview a musical greeting card to send to a friend, and the audio on that did the same thing.
I ripped my DVD music videos, and when i try to add them to itunes, they go to the Movies library. I want them in the Music Video library. Any one know how i can add them to to music video library?
i recently bought a "hp pavilion g series" laptop. the problem is that whenever i stream music or videos from my music file or from Internet, it always makes a buzzing sound.
recently, i have had many bsod consecutively. recently, i have had about 9 bsod over about 5 days (although the report lists a break between my bsod between 2/21 and 3/27 because i was on break for most of this). in the past i have gotten bsod while playing games, but the recent ones have been while doing mundane tasks such as browsing the internet or watching Internet videos?i have used bluescreenview to try to discover the cause of my problem, but every bsod seems to have a different error and file associated with it. many of them are blamed on ntoskrnl.exe, but have different error messages. some are from different files.i am running windows 7 64 bit on a desktop i built about 15 months ago. since then, i have gotten many error messages, but more recently. i have 8 gb of ram, geforce gtx 470, amb phenom ii black multicore processor, and gigabyte 890gpa-ud3h motherboard. i assembled the desktop components and installed all software new onto the computer.
things i have tried recently: resetting the ram in different slots, running antivirus (i have avg free, malwarebytes, and spybot), cleaning the computer fans, uninstalling/driversweeping the video card drivers and reinstalling, disabling the motherboard sound card through bios so the external sound card i have installed does not interfere, running cmd /chkdsk with fix to try to correct any errors found. i have been dealing with bsod a lot frequently, although it has usually only been about 1 per week in the past. these are extremely frequent recently with multiple per day and it is interfering with my work. attached are the files requested.
Recently I noticed that my 500GB hard drive was beginning to get full. It has everything on it. I installed a second hard drive, 1TB, and my intention was to keep all of the programs and OS on the primary 500GB hard drive and transfer all of my documents (pics, vids, docs & music) to the 1TB drive.
When I go to C:UsersMyName and I go to "cut" a folder like MyMusic and then "paste" it in my new E: drive, it says that the folder is shared and if I move it others will not be able to use it.
Now, before I do this, with MyMusic, MyPictures, etc. I have a question: By moving these over to the E: drive (the new 1TB) drive, am I going to do something I regret, like losing access to these files, the OS not being able to find them, or something like that?
My audio on my laptop is dragging when i am playing music or music videos on it or any videos for that matter. What do i need to do? Is there maybe something i need to download to make the audio play better?
As the title states, I cannot get my music, pictures and videos links to show up on the right side of my start menu. I have used all of Brink's tutorials and or registry hacks and double checked everything...but to no resolve.
On Windows 7 I installed the xbox 360 extender using Media Center, all my media files show up, but after exiting the extender, all my media files do not show anymore on their default windows folders for Pictures, Videos, and Music. Re-enter Media Center, and I am able to see all my media files, but unable to reach them through my PC, even after exiting again, and using my PC normally.
1- Advance searched my files to no avail, restored WMP library to no avail, restarted several times to no avail. 2- Used old Vista tricks in regedit to no avail, files still don't show up, they only do when I start the extender, and I see them through the extender only. 3- Restored to previous point in history on Windows to no avail. 4- Disabled WMP and WMC in Windows services and features, and re-enabled them, to no avail.
I have just built a new machine i5 4gb 2 x 3tb WD ASUS p8z68 motherboard.. System works beautifully.. very nice. However, I have just installed a clean activated real copy of windows 7 home premium and when I enter the menus of Media Center. Pictures, Videos the blue "thinking" ring scrolls for 10 seconds and then enters the next menu with the Folder being displayed. In the music section, I have 2 test folders in there and it waits for 8 seconds after you press play a song! Recorded tv and guide work great. Indexing was also completed.

I am using a DVB-T receiver Intel CE9500 without any problems under XP. With Windows 7 the DVB-stream is interrupted every 2 or 3 seconds for 1 second. I am using DVBviewer, that requires BDA drivers and under Windows 7 I am using the system default MPEG2 decoder.
The driver for Windows 7 was found by Windows Update "Intel CE9500 DVB-T (Enh) Receiver" v 2.1.0.136

I have Windows 7 and a HP Photosmart C4585 printer. I had problems printing and the prints kept spooling, so I uninstalled the printer and tried to reinstall - thinking it may be the drivers. Now the download keeps interrupting around 40%.
The system started an update and in spite of the warning not to turn the computer off, the update got interrupted. The restart has been 'Preparing Your Desktop' for about 2 hours with no diagnostics or any indicators.
When listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.
While creating Toshiba recovery media, it was interupted by support, on the 4th disc. Already created the 1st 3, and need to create the remaining 2. How do I begin on disc 4?
I can't get sound from any of the web pages I've visited. I tried to install a codec package, and it won't allow me. I am the sole user of the computer, I'm running W7 64bit with a X-Fi soundcard. All other sound works fine and it is hooked up via spdif optical link to a seperate surround sound system.
Therefore, My first question, How do I get the sound to work?
2nd question, even if is or isn't the codec issue, why won't windows update the registry with the codec installation package (1402 error). I am the administrator!
I am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.

I turned my ps3 on for the first time in a good month or more tonight, planning to stream music and just have a relaxing night, but lo and behold its not working for me. I can see all my music, I can see my playlists as folders, but when i try to go into these folders, it cant find music in those playlists.
Last night I was able to change the rip music pointer but today it's empty and I cannot change it to what it was.I accessed Documents/Music and chose Properties and click on Restore Defaults did not fix the problem. Background: I'm trying to rip an audio book so I can 'copy' it to my MP3. I've done it many times before.Tried to rip the first audio book CD without the RIP MUSIC set, but got the message: "WMP cannot rip one or more tracks from CD".
If click on a picture it gives me the ability to add tags, but if I click on a video I am missing that ability. The same can be said when I view the "details" tab after I go into the properties window.Whats going on? I got over 100 000 pictures, there no way id ever tag them... Id have to quit my job... yet videos (which potentially need to be tag because they can contain way more info) seems to be missing this critical tag aspect?
When my monitor powers down after inactivity, music starts to play. I'm assuming this is part of windows 7 themes but I cant find an option to turn it off.
I am in need of a program that can organize my music, I have about 50 gigs and a large number of this mp3's are in individual folders, i would like if possible to organize them by albums ,genre, or artist. If i try to do this manually it will take me forever.
I have over 3,000 music files, and I would like to know the best way to get them into iTunes. From a lynda.com training video about using iTunes, I learned that there is a folder called "Automatically Add to iTunes", which is monitored by iTunes for new files to import into the iTunes library. However, I would like to know if this is the best way to do this. For example, can I just *move* my 3,000 music files into this 'Automatically Add to iTunes' folder and then let iTunes do its thing?* ill iTunes *move*the files that it is able to manage*OUT*of this folder and into one of its managed folders, such that there would be no duplicate file left behind? Is it correct in saying that the files that are left in this folder that were not able to be handled by iTunes and must be handled differently before they can be imported into iTunes. Or is there just an all around different, and better, way to get these music files into iTunes?
The other question I have involves 'restoring' a previous iTunes library that was backed up to disc (CD or DVD). I have a couple of these and want to _merge_ them with my existing (current) iTunes files, but in a way that I don't have 2 folders for some artists and double tracks, etc. How can I *best* import these iTunes library back ups into my latest iTunes installation.Last is a question which is about ripping my audio CDs into iTunes. I have 2 optical drives on my computer, and I would like to know which one will be most efficient at ripping audio CDs into iTunes. Is there someway to test the read / error correct speed of both drives to get an idea of which one is going to be faster?
