If click on a picture it gives me the ability to add tags, but if I click on a video I am missing that ability. The same can be said when I view the "details" tab after I go into the properties window.Whats going on? I got over 100 000 pictures, there no way id ever tag them... Id have to quit my job... yet videos (which potentially need to be tag because they can contain way more info) seems to be missing this critical tag aspect?
View 8 RepliesI can't get sound from any of the web pages I've visited. I tried to install a codec package, and it won't allow me. I am the sole user of the computer, I'm running W7 64bit with a X-Fi soundcard. All other sound works fine and it is hooked up via spdif optical link to a seperate surround sound system.
Therefore, My first question, How do I get the sound to work?
2nd question, even if is or isn't the codec issue, why won't windows update the registry with the codec installation package (1402 error). I am the administrator!

View 1 Replies View Relatedrecently did a fresh install of windows 7 home premium on my hp g62-140us laptop (formatted hd, etc). everything seemed fine until i started to watch a video (doesn't matter what site, could be Internet, hulu, etc). from anywhere between 5-20 minutes of watching a video, my computer becomes extremely slow. the video freezes, probably going less then 1 fps, but the sound is still playing. sometimes, the sound lags too. task manager shows normal memory use but 100% cpu use... in resource monitor, the hog seems to be nt kernal & system. since this is a fresh install, im assuming its not malware or a virus. any ideas? i thought it was the video card driver at first so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. also, the pc works fine in safe mode (i can watch videos).

the original video, the one that i record this part from is having a very good quality (hd 720p), it's in mkv format and i guess it's x264. why do i get this quality?
i did the same thing with a non-hd video and it worked better: how can i record with the best quality? at least a quality as same as the original one?

I use Mozilla's Firefox 8.0 and downloaded Adobe Flash Player, xvid-codecs and the DivX-Bundle. But it still is impossible for me to watch flash videos, e.g. those seen on VideoWeed, NovaMov, or Videobb. Where the video should be, all I get is white. When I right-click on it, I get: About Adobe flash player 11.1.102.55. It also doesn't work on IE9. I have already reinstalled all the aforementioned software, rebooted my system. Still didn't work. ok. i need to be clarified in some things that have popped up since some time. this is, if flash will come to an end? certainly, dhtml have evolved to an incredible state, that you don´t need to know actionscript or what the hell is that, to see real time motion in a web page since javascript can do it for you.
now, since people like to watch videos on the net and hd is gathering the whole market, .swf - .flv files, lack the power to accelerate gpu hardware meaning that videos on almost all computers will lag.
firefox, with its 3.5 introduced the power to reproduce h.264 videos and display hd content on the web without the need of the player.
people with this, did got convinced that flash would be obsolete and it will be thrown to darkness. but, adobe recently started negotiating with the manufacturers of commercial video cards, getting to an agreement to bring gpu acceleration through a web browser to the .swf and .flv files, meaning that hd videos streaming sites like Internet, which recently introduced 1080p playback, will be optimal when it comes to stream hd videos, which really sucked because of the lack of the gpu acceleration.
so now that .flv videos does support gpu acceleration through a web browser, think that a well elaborated scripting language as actionscript and everything related to it (.swf and .flv) will die? i want to know what you guys think about this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWin 7 Enterprise, 8Gb RAM, 1Tb HDD, AM3+ processor running at 4000, 3 port firewire card, 2 monitors, the graphics system runs DX10 no problem, 8 1Tb usb HDDs running from powered hub. I have 3 camcorders all using the same video cassette type (Canon, Panasonic, Sony). I can see each on the devices and printers window and the IEEE 1394A devices are reporting no errors. Have tried each separately, all refuse to be seen by the software.Using either Adobe 2 (yes I know its old but it works) or MS Live Movieplayer each does not see any of the cameras. The cameras worked with the software on an old XP system. Where am I going wrong?
View 1 Replies View Relatedas stated in the thread title, whenever i play a Internet video on my pc, it powers off. originally i thought it was a problem with the browser or the flash plugin, but after doing some research, i found that it is caused by the video card. something is going wrong, to confirm this, i ran a stress test with atitool, this caused power failure, and then, in order to be absolutely sure i tried to play "team fortress 2" but it crashed at the menu. initial thoughts might be that it is overheating, which i will check, but i doubt that is the problem since i have a quite well ventilated full tower case.
