Up until a couple weeks ago I could view internet videos without a problem. For some reason now I can't view almost all of them. Ill open them up and they just wont load. I have windows 7 on a dell vostro laptop computer and i use Google Chrome, although i have the same issue on IE and Firefox.
I cannot play any videos on WSJ.com, a mainstream news site.[URL.] 4D6DD.html, How can I know which video player controls this, to narrow down what is the problem, in order to fix it.
I cannot get videos to play. Everytime I try to watch a video on You Tube, or anywhere else, I get message: An Error has occured. Please try again later. I have the most recent Flash Player installed, and have enabled Java Script, but still cannot play videos.
My windows 7 DVD player stopped playing DVD's. I put in DVD, hit play, nothing. The computer page screen comes on, right click for play....Zip. Nothing appears on computer page screen to show the video is even the machine.
The problem occurs when I am playing streaming videos from thedailyshow.com and colbertnation.com. The audio seems to come through properly. but the video is messed up. every half a second or so, it plays a few frames from a fraction of a second before. I wish I could explain this better but it basically ruins the video. the ads that play before the actual clips play just fine. I have not been able to reproduce this problem on any desktop or laptop that I have been able to get my hands on.
I cannot play You Tube videos..They start and stop constantly..little circle will spin for 20 to 30 seconds at a time..i dont know enough about this to doanything..what kind of video system am I suppose to be using??It says to make sure Quicktime,Windows Media and RealPlayer are not my default playe
All of a sudden I can't play any videos in firefox, if I try at you tube it say's that a problem has occurred please try later, I think this problem started when I had a flashplayer update and if I use IE it works fine. I have tried uninstalling flashplayer and firefox and reinstalling them both but with no joy I have also cleared out my history and cache its still the same.
Recently upgraded from XP to Windows 7, and now I can't play videos in 1080p nor Original quality. On XP I had 30 fps stable, now I get 10-15fps, what could be the cause of this? My graphics card is a Geforce 9600GT, I use the windows classic theme to avoid more ram use.
I noticed my Windows Media Player wont play any mp3 files. I get an error message "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file" when I try to play a sound file from my WMP library. It will play videos just not mp3 sound files. Also, strangely, it doesnt show in the list of programs in "control panel/programs and features" but it is in my list of pgms in my start menu. How can I get sound to play again in WMP?
I run 7 Home Premium, 64bit on a Toshiba Satellite L505. My chipset is from the Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series family. When I try to play 1080p or even 720p videos (doesn't matter if it's VLC or MPC, or whatever) my screen blacks for a second and then comes back with the 'display driver stopped responding and has recovered' message. Then the VLC window is green, and I can't play the video.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the Intel drivers from the Toshiba website many, many times, and nothing has worked to solve this problem. I already clean boot, so there aren't any conflicting programs that cause this. HOWEVER, I have noticed that if I start up my computer, then restart from the start menu, I am able to play the videos without a hitch. Then, if I completely shut down and turn it on again, the issue re-surfaces.
i cannot play videos in any media player it started itself.today i had blue screen error and my memory usage was abnormally higher than usual.ryt now memory usage is alright but cant play videos.
I record a lot of video of my son using my camera on my phone and also on my camera using it's recording feature. Every time I try to play the videos in Windows Media Player Classic I get the error message below. It happens on pretty much all of them, everyone I tried so far at least. It comes up several times, I have to keep hitting the ENTER button then it finally goes away. Sometimes the video will play after that sometimes it wont. If I try to play them in Windows Media Player, nothing happens, I can hear sound but the picture is frozen? These videos have worked before so I'm guessing it's a codec that I have maybe installed over time, I'm not too good with computers so I might have installed something one too many times. I have both K-Lite Mega Codec Pack v8.6.0 Mega and 64-bit codec packages installed, I just left the settings as is when installing.
I built a PC the middle of last year, and ever since I've been having freezing problems. Either when I'm watching a video, or playing a game at random times my PC will completely freeze, forcing me to reboot. I've found (testing different RAM, scanning for viruses, updating the bios/video card drivers, etc.) and so far nothing has worked. Here are my specs:
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz Video Card: HIS Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 900W RAM: 16GB
I also have a pretty big case [URL] with two large fans. At first I thought the card might be overheating, but even under a heavy load the highest temp it ever reached was 81 degrees (and that was only once while rendering an effects heavy video). I don't necessarily want to reinstall windows 7, but I'll try that too if I have to.
I have windows 7 on my computer, I got on my xbox 360 and setup the windows media center app on it about 4 monthes ago. I didn't have many problems at first for about a month. I always used it for movies and videos. The problems started slow at first a video might lag a little bit and buffer a couple of times, but I would restart my xbox 360 and it seemed to fix the problem until the next time. Now I have gotten to the point where everytime I exit windows media center or turn off my computer or xbox, I literally have to uninstall the xbox extender everytime and reinstall just to watch movies and videos, because if I don't, I will have an error saying the xbox can't find my pc and when I get on my pc wmc and go to the extender page it shows the xbox but says and don't guote me dont know for sure but it says something like xbox available but not ready or something like that. It will also have the yellow yield sign looking deal. Anyways when I uninstall and resetup wmc for the xbox it will work again only when I go to watch my videos in the videos section it lags real bad and during the video it wont say buffering but it acts like it is.
I can't get sound from any of the web pages I've visited. I tried to install a codec package, and it won't allow me. I am the sole user of the computer, I'm running W7 64bit with a X-Fi soundcard. All other sound works fine and it is hooked up via spdif optical link to a seperate surround sound system.
Therefore, My first question, How do I get the sound to work?
2nd question, even if is or isn't the codec issue, why won't windows update the registry with the codec installation package (1402 error). I am the administrator!
how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.
