WiFi Internet Randomly Fails?

Toshiba laptop, Windows 7 Ultimate x86, RTL8187b WiFi NIC.Clean install.Opening a new site is working ok and fast, when clicking on a link on the website, I get a very slow response or a time-out...When I do the same thing at the same time on a wired computer or/and on a Ipad (wireless), the page opens normaly....I've disabled the windows firewall. I've tryed several browsers (IE8/9, Chrome and Firefox), but all act the same... Tryed different drivers for the NIC...When I connect the laptop wired, all is ok....It happens on different websites on different times and moments....Opening the site works fine, so DNS should be ok.

I have - A Laptop with Windows 7 UltimateA Linksys Wireless Router with ports which are all Ethernet ports (i.e. no USB ports).A Tata Photon Plus (which is basically a Wireless USB Modem)I have been trying to setup a wireless network to have my handheld devices connect to the internet.I have - Connected the Ethernet port of my laptop to one of the Ethernet Ports of my Wireless Router.I have connected my Wireless USB Modem to my laptop (as my Router does not have a USM port).My Questions While I have been able to setup the Wireless Network, the Network shows "No Internet Access". Can someone help me with how to bring in Internet to the Wireless Network? I am sorry but I don't have enough networking acumen which would enable me to do this without assistance.

I own a notebook. i have this problem that my wifi connection just disconnects shows a small X on the down right side. just like that randomly. and it wont reconnect, only when i restart my computer it works again. it happens like 10 minutes after i boot my PC. what can i do to prevent it ?

I recently bought a new cisco e2000 router and had no problem connecting to it on all the devices in the house (about 10 of them)Just now, all the devices in my room (ipod, netbook, phone, and laptop) lost a connection to the router and no matter where I am in the house none of these 4 devices can get a connection. I can see other networks, just not mine. They all worked perfectly fine before, and out of nowhere they stopped working. Other devices that were not in my room at the time of this 'wifi surge' still have a connection to the router.The wired connection works and that's how I'm typing this right now.

When I put my computer in hibernation, sometimes when I wake it, it hangs at the user select screen, or it just shows a black screen. Sometimes I can reset the computer after it has hanged, and try again resuming from hibernation, and many times it will work after a couple of tries. Other times after resetting I won't get the prompt to try again with resuming (the other option is to delete hibernation data and reboot the system) but I will get the usual screen that says that Windows was not shut down correctly (with all the options for safe mode, etc). If I cannot resume and I get the screen with safe mode and all the other crap, I finally log in I get a notice that there was a critical error, in the details I see BlueScreen and other data, but I actually never get a blue screen. In the dump folder, there are no dmp files related to the hibernation hanging.
Anyway, when it happens, I see several Event 18 WHEA-Logger in the event viewer, about 6 of them every time.What's weird though, is that I literally have NO problems with this computer other than this. The only times it hangs is when I resume it from hibernation. I can play games or run stress tests with or without overclock and the system is 100% stable. But there is some problem that prevents it from resuming from hibernation correctly, so every time I use it is basically a gamble because it has like 50% chance of working.I tried EVERY SINGLE solution I found with google related to hibernation problems, and it's still there. I even formatted and reinstalled Windows from scratch, and it's still there. I'm positive I updated every single driver for every hardware I have and nope, no solution.I know the WHEA error is related to the hardware but like I said, everything works PERFECTLY once the system starts up properly, or when it resumes from hibernation properly. I have tried connecting to my router with both wireless and lan cable but they both fail. What is strange is that my vista laptop (currently using) has no problems connecting either wirelessly or using the same lan cable as my desktop failed with. My windows 7 desktop was working fine earlier today but after I went out it installed the updates and since then no amount of rebooting or restarting of the router has fixed the problem.

Not my week so far yet another problem. Been trying all day to connect to the internet with the above router.Happened accross a screen saying Firewall settings.It says for the inbound services "BLOCK always" is this my problem?I have tried to amend this to " ALLOW always" to which the outbound services are already set.My next problem is it is asking for the inbound services to be adjusted so I have setthe service parameter to ALL, action ALLOW always but now is the problem it wants an address putting into the 4 boxes for the Send to LAN Server parameter,I have tried various setting but to no avail. Exactly where can I get this information from?

I have a problem with my wireless internet card (Qualcomm Atheros Ar9485). It has trouble connecting to websites. Speed and ping is fine, but it is the connecting that often fails. I have done tests on my other computer and on my iPad, and everything works fine. I know that there is something wrong with the wifi card, because when I plug in my ethernet cable, everything works fine. My wifi drivers are up to date. I can still browse the web wirelessly, but 30-60% of the time, the connecting fails. I have had this kind of issue before (All browser slow/not loading pages) and I got the problem solved by switching wifi channels.

I've tried two different NIC's and they both do the same thing. One NIC was a PCI-E and the other is a USB. The internet just stops working, i.e. if you do a status on the adapter it says 'Internet not available.'Now! If I disable the new adapter and enable the old adapter which is a Linksys Wireless-G PCI Card WMP54GS with SpeedBooster that matched the router I had before it died three weeks ago the card works perfectly! It never disconnects from the internet so to speak.This has to be something in Windows 7 that is causing this behavior in the new adapter. I did a little snooping around myself and there was a suggestion to disable the 'IP Helper' service. I disabled it and stopped it and the adapter still 'went to sleep.'

Currently my internet is not working but was fine for the pass few weeks. The problem im having is that the wifi works for Iphone but not my laptop. Im able to connect to my housemate wifi , just now the free wifi that was provided by the owner. Is there any reason why my laptop wifi isnt working for this connection but works for other wifi connection ?

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop. It always works great except for one problem I have had from the beginning. When I am at some place like Starbucks or the Library and want to use the internet, my computer will show me the list of "Wireless Network Connections" available and I can click on the library for example and it will connect just fine. It will show the word "Connected" under the "Library" connection. But it will also say "No Internet Access". This happens anytime I go to a free wifi hotspot. I have learned that there is an additional login required. So for the library I would have to pull up my browser, go to their website and find their login. The problem with this is that sometimes you don't know the URL to their website so you can't login. there is some setting on my computer I can change to make the login screen come up automatically or even bypass this option. When I use these wifi hotspots with my phone or Google Nexus I never have this problem.

I have had a little bit of trouble with my internet connection lately. sometimes i just get limited connection or it will just stop working. what i mean by that is it'll be working fine and then i get a little yellow exclamation mark over my wireless and it says limited access and i can't connect to the internet. i try disabling it and then re-enabling it, troubleshooting, and turning my router on and off again. i think it generally works fine when i restart my computer, but i don't want to have to be restarting all the time and having an unreliable connection. i've got a thomson tg585 v8 wireless router and under my device manager it says i have Atheros AR9285 Wireless network adapter and intel 82579V Gigabit Network connection.

Sometimes my Internet Explorer will randomly disconnect from the internet. Sometimes it will disconnect when I have left the computer for 10 minutes. Sometimes it will disconnect right in the middle of surfing the internet. It is only Internet Explorer because my anti-virus and my stand alone download manager will continue to be connected.
I have Windows 7 Pro and Internet Explorer9. I've had this problem before when I was on Windows XP and it only happens when I have had DSL (didn't happen when I had cable internet).

I have a problem that has been puzzling and annoying me very much for the past week or so. I have no problem connecting to the network but at random times I lose connection to the internet for a few seconds or a few minuites. I never lose connection to the network though. My playstation 3 has a wired connection directly to the modem as does the computer in the living room, and those units never lose connection. How ever my computer in my room along with my xbox 360, which is also in my room, loses connection wirelessly. My xbox and this computer DO NOT have this problem at other people houses so I'm thinking it must be my router (Linksys E1000). The wireless adapter I have on my computer is a Linksys WMP600N Dual Band. Both the router and my wireless card have the lastest firmware and I have also tried giving my computer a static IP along with the Xbox and forwarding the ports for it. Still does not work for me. I am able to connect to my neighbors internet which has no problems with connection other than the fact that its laggy since i am far from their router. I really dont want to go out and buy a new router so any help anyone could give me would be awesome!

Now, I recently had to change to new ISP, that can't provide cable where I live. It's stupid DSL internet through the phone cable. With my old ISP there were zero problems, but now it's quite bad.Connection drops randomly for about a minute, then it comes back without me touching anything. Windows says it cannot connect to the primary DNS server when that happens. The problem happens more in the evening, which leads me to believe I cannot fix it, but any suggestions would be welcome.
Could it be like, not the line overloading because of other people, but the router getting clogged because of being used all the day, or something? O_o There's 4 PCs connected to the same router by the way so traffic gets quite heavy. I can't use my old router. I tried, but the cable that goes in this one is smaller, phone cable, not the ethernet one I plug in my PC.

My computer is relatively new and has been working fine until just recently. At random times when on the internet, it will suddenly freezes (but only the page) and not allow me to click anything. At first I thought it was the website but it has been happening on more sites than one. I have tried installing all the updates and have gone through almost all the tune-ups my computer offers.

This started about 3 days ago, and I'm not sure how. I've run Spybot, AVG and other programs, but nothing seems to stop it.Whenever I click on a link in my bookmarks, it gets deleted in the folder almost automatically afterwards. The bookmarks that get deleted seem to happen at random. When I replaced the bookmarks and clicked them again, sometimes they are fine while others that survived the first round get erased, while some bookmarks remain untouched. This happens to bookmarks in completely different folders, and my history seems to have been left untouched.

I have two operating systems installed on my Sony Vaio VPCF115FG, Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
Wi-Fi is working fine on both, however, LAN connections are only working on Windows 8 but not Windows 7. It reads the LAN connection in Windows 7 but it does not actually connect to the internet. I honestly tried everything, including uninstalling the LAN driver and reinstalling it, no use.

I connect to my home wifi and it says connected, but there is no internet connection.I noticed that network adapter shows "wireless network connection 2" with that "2" at the end of name. I guess there is a problem. If I rename it to just "wireless network connection" it says it already exists. But cannot see it, and use it! Can anyone tell me how to reset it or somehow switch to "wireless network connection" without "2"?
Also when I type ipconfig/all I get this:

I am unable to connect to the internet in wireless mode. It shows the available networks, but does not connect when I type in my router password. I have tried everything I know of. Uninstalled/Reinstalled the driver - I have an Intel 5100 AGN wireless driver installed. I disabled and enabled it. Didn't work. Running command prompt and typing in ipconfig /all doesn't detect my adapter device - says "Media Disconnected".I also did these by running command prompt as an administrator: Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalogReset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.logReset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.logand restarted my computer. The system seems stable just being on, and the minute I turn it on, I get the BSOD.This is a Gateway T-1631 laptop that use to have Vista. I upgraded to seven, but wiped the computer out to have a fresh install. Ever since the fresh install, it hasn't been working right and crashes consistently.

I have a question about sharing my Internet. Ok my internet provider sends me some analogue signals, my modems gets them, converts them to digital signals and then, sends this Connection to where it should go (I mean I can use this connection using e.g. wifi). I have a vpn connection. I wanna use it on my mobile. My mobile doesn't support vpn configuration. So somehow I should send the vpn connection from my pc and modem. I am having a problem with my Toshiba NB505 Netbook - running Windows 7 Starter. I can connect fine at home to wifi- and also at my local public library. However I was unable to connect at a motel I was at recently and had the same problem when I visited a different local library.To be more exact, I was able to connect ok at these 2 locations - but there was no internet access. From reading, I suspect a 'DNS' issue of some sort, but I don't know how to go about remedying it.

I've got two computers in my room: a Toshiba laptop and a desktop computer (both running Windows 7) I built a few months ago. The laptop gets great wifi reception, 4/5 bars, while the desktop struggles to get one bar. I want to connect the laptop to the PC via Ethernet and use the laptop's Internet connection. I'm having troubles doing this.
Here's what I've done thus far:Disabled the desktops wifi. Enabled "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" on the laptop's Ethernet card. Plugged in the cable.
This is where I hit the brick wall. On both computers, it comes up as "unidentified network". I try creating a homegroup on the desktop, but I encounter an error "Windows could not set the network settings" and "You can try to change this setting later in the Network and Sharing Center." I look in the Network and Sharing Center, and it says "Homegroup: Joined" as if no error occurred at all. So I try to join the homegroup on the laptop. It says "Larry from LARRY-PC has created a homegroup" so it recognizes it, but then it says "Windows could not setup a homegroup on this computer" when I try to put in the password.
I start the HomeGroup Troubleshooter, and it troubleshoots network problems. After that, it says "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration: Fixed" So then I try joining it again, and get the same issue. I go through the HomeGroup Troubleshooter again, and I click "the problem is not fixed" and get a list of problems I don't have.
What can I do?

i m on the Lenovo T61 with Ultimate edition. now i got problem with Windows Firewall, as in the screenshot. then I cannot connect to the Internet thru WiFi at all. I got connected but Identify Internet sth, then Internet not work.
Though I repair windows but no luck, but if i reinstall it, it worked but just restarted few times, it happens again.
i m nearly crazy now as i love Windows 7 for nearly 1/2 already till now i encountered this issue.
