My computer is relatively new and has been working fine until just recently. At random times when on the internet, it will suddenly freezes (but only the page) and not allow me to click anything. At first I thought it was the website but it has been happening on more sites than one. I have tried installing all the updates and have gone through almost all the tune-ups my computer offers.

For a while now my computer has been freezing randomly and I get that "not responding" message on the window but it eventually does strart responding. It can happen at any time whether I'm browsing some site or when I'm not online. So today I did a clean install of Windows 7 today and the same thing is happening with only Win7 on it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to play a certain game without the computer freezing and shutting off on me, but it doesn't end there. After using system restore and trying to run windows update my computer did the same thing again.The symptom that puzzles me the most is the system will refuse to boot into windows for a bit after a shutdown. It will get to the Starting Windows screen and stop loading during the logo formation, ending in a shutdown. This seems to happen regardless of Last Known Good Configuration, Safe Mode, etc. My computer is a Toshiba Satellite a505 laptop. I have run sfc /scannow, chkdsk /f /r, and two memory tests. sfc found nothing, chkdsk found one bad cluster in the free space, and the first memory test made the computer shut down towards the beginning. The second memory test was Windows Memory Diagnostic and that shut down in the 6th area of the first pass. I'm suspecting it's the RAM, but I can't be certain, especially since both sticks boot up the computer just fine by themselves. This started happening about 3 days ago after the laptop fell from my lap on accident. I really hope I don't have to buy a new computer...

Today after searching the internet i found out that disabling some of the services might solve the problem. So after an hour of disabling and enabling services i have found out that the power service is causing the problem, however disabling it removes the option of having sound.what the power service is and what can i do to fix it so that i can enable it and have sound.

So about a 3 month ago my computer started to freeze 3 - 10 times a day, at first i thought the problem was GoogleChrome, because out of coincidence it would freeze when i was watching a video. i was looking at 100's of forums for some kind of solution but nothing helpedi recently checked event view after 3 simultaneous crashes and the little error icon showed next to it Bonjour (an apple software), i proceeded to uninstall all of the apple related software on my computer and it obviously didn't help.my computer recently freezed so i checked event view and on the time it freezed i got 3 errors and 1 warning Error 1: A duplicate name has been detected on the TCP network. It usually does this when I am surfing the net or watching a HD video 720p or above. Sometimes just before it restarts it will mention something about reference memory. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm playing minecraft, at RANDOM times, the entire computer will just freeze for me.The sound gets stuck in this jarring freeze like repeat and I can't click Ctrl-Alt-Delete or Alt-f4 or anything. I can normally play at 100 fps with no problems until this freeze happens. I've tried letting it sit for a while but it just remains frozen. It doesn't give me BSoD, it just freezes. I have tried various different driver for my gfx card which i have a Nvidia 450GTS. I've been doing some research with the dump files (which I can upload if requested) but its a CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION ntoskrnl.exe+7efc0 error. I have reinstalled all drivers, and so far no BSOD while active at my PC.I noticed a very strange thing happening though. My computer is now randomly freezing (twice now in 1 hour). I am still able to move my mouse and click some times (such as open new tabs on my chrome) but everything stops responding. The last time it happened I managed to open task manager before it locked up. The performance graphs were still working fine and showed nothing unusual. I have to force my PC off (hold the power button), then when it turns back on the motherboard freezes are splash (makes me thing ram, going to do a memtest overnight tonight.), but it works fine when I turn it off and back on it gets past it fine.

I put a lot of money (about $1500) into this machine so that it would last me a long time, but now I'm having some major problems with it randomly freezing. The first time this happened was once about three weeks ago, then it happened once last week, and so far three times this week(twice today alone). It doesn't look like one single thing is causing it, although 2 of the 5 times so far that it has happened, I did notice that it was triggered when I ran a program (once it was firefox, the other time it was minecraft, but I have since then run both program with no problem). Another thing to add is before my computer actually completely freezes, everything just starts lagging (mouse, etc) extremely bad for about 10-15 sec. I'll also add that I'm 100% sure a virus is not causing this, and I have run cleaning programs/defrag.

recently we had a builder round, and the electricity tripped while my computer was on since then my computer constantly freezes randomly no given time really (could be guessing at this time really as updates have occured as well recently)

My laptop is an Asus G74-SX running Windows 7 Home Premium 64. [code] My computer randomly freezes (even as I was writing this post it froze for a while and i had to wait for it to come back to life). I am not sure why this is happening as it has been great for over a year. Also the when I put it to SLEEP (not hybrid or hibernation) it takes a LONG time (over 2 mins to hours).I have restarted my computer 5 times yesterday and a couple times today, because it just stops working. I replaced the fan thus morning and it seemed to run fine.I had an issue connecting to the internet, so I powered off, reconnected all the cables and rebooted the router and modem, and it seemed to fix it.I went on using the computer and got a dialogue box telling me that the internet disconnected. another common thing for it do is it will start up and not have an internet connection and will not even display my usual home connection...then when i go to restart the computer it will automatically freeze...

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy computer started freezing on on the windows loading screen, so i had to turn my computer off again, wait a few seconds and start it agin, it then worked on the second time. i couldnt get into any kind of safemode.when i got into windows i had loads of generic win32 errors, i couldnt acess the internet or any anti spy/virus programs. i shut it down and it hangs so i have to manually swith it off.i was on xp so i thought i would format my computer and install windows 7. This has helped with all the win32 errors but my computer still freezes on start up at the windows loading screen and still requires me to swith it off and restart it, this works most of the time. might have to do this 2 or 3 times.i have looked in the events viewer and it says i have 3 errors: error 6 kernel process power / restart manager.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 2 month old Lenovo with Windows 7 Home Premuim. When the Windows Splash screen comes up, the PC Freezes. After about an hour i can login with no issues, but the event viewer shows many errors. the error is:
windows event id 7001 The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependency service or group failed to start.
I can also boot into Safe Mode just fine immediately after the freeze.
So this has been happening ever since I got my computer. I took it in to see if a service could take a look at it and they ran a benchmark to get the usage to 100% for like 22 hours. Computer was still running fine he recommended me to get a UPS because it could be browning out but that solved nothing.
So what basically happens is that once a week or 3 times a day, it happens randomly, could be while playing a game or just browsing the web. What happens is that the monitor just freezes it is still on it is like a screenshot of my screen it stays still, cursor stops, audio stops, everything. The computer is still running fine it could be a failure in hardware but most likely not. It is not the monitor itself because it worked fine with the same monitor with my previous computer and I just got a new monitor last week.
I also noticed is if it happens once then it'll happen a few more times in a day then it'll stop for 1-2 days and start again, could just be a coincidence but I don't know...
So i just built a new rig i got everything hooked up and i installed windows 7 ultimate x64. Here are the details.

I got all the motherboard drivers and the video drivers installed then when i installed the drivers for my wireless network card and restarted and it froze on the starting windows screen.
I've been trying everything i can think of to fix this. I pulled the extra memory out, switched the power supply with one from another rig, switched the hard drive out for another one that i had.
after that, since it was a fresh build and nothing was saved on it i tried to reformat the hard drive and re-install windows, but the install disc also freezes on the starting windows screen.
so now i can't get it boot normally, in safe mode, from the disc or from another hard drive. when i try and boot in safe mode it stops at ClassPNP.sys
It has happened now over 2 times in 3 months. Not so much but it's still quite annoying.. I couldn't read the whole report of the blue screen screen but it said something about memory clash or something.

I recently built my first PC three days ago...
Specs:
i7 bloomfield 960 processor
4x4 vengeance ram
crosair hx850 PSU
evga x58 ftw3 mobo
hd 6870 radeon graphics xfx
When I first installed windows it started to work just fine but I soon noticed that it would randomly freeze every 15-30 minutes of use, but not on a particular program or anything. I assumed it was drivers so I installed the latest drivers for my GPU and MOBO and keyboard. It seemed fine again until it started crashing again. I ran a GPU burn test and a CPU burn test it passed both. (I tried runing memtest86+ but it froze at like 12%) Then I tried fixing the registry so I downloaded ccleaner and fixed the registry problems. Freezes continued. I finally decided to re install windows so I did and the problems still continued. I am at a loss of what to do and can't think of anything else.

Dual Boot with Ubuntu Linux, using Grub2 as bootloader. Here's what I've tried:
-I've tried wiping and reinstalling- several times(With 2 separate known working discs).
-Updating Windows completely.
-Using the driver disc that came with the laptop.
-Using the latest drivers downloaded from Asus support.
-Flashing the bios with the latest version off Asus support website.
-Disabled all power saver management
-Wiped entire drive and recreated all partitions
-Ran Memtest86+ tests, no errors detected
-Running just bare minimum Windows stock software
-Ran with no peripherals plugged in at all.
-Uninstalled installed drivers, one by one
-Installed Windows XP SP3 32 bit with "hacked" drivers for my model and while it was slower, it never froze randomly for no reason.
-Thats all I can recall at the moment.
As a note: Linux does not freeze, nor do I have any issues with it at all. Laptop is on a cooling pad as well. Booting into Safe mode: works indefinitely without freezing. I also just realized I do not think I have run Windows without drivers installed, to test that- though they were working prior, but then again so was the OS in general.
I have a problem whit my pc

note 1: scanned for viruses/malware/spyware several times
note 2: registry cleaning, defragment,etc.. didn't fix the problem too
