May 12, 2012I cannot locate Outlook Express although it may appear when I need to email someone via a website. I click on send and BCC myself however never know if the mail is sent or not.

May 17, 2011When I try to install W7SP1, I get an error message after it tries to install after restarting after having downloaded it in Windows Update. It's error code 0x800f0826. IT used to be 0x80071a9, but I fixed that I think.
Note: My laptop does not have a built in disc reader, because of its design, nor did it come with any W7 CD's.
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Fails To Install Error Code 8024200D
May 7, 2012I have tried to install this update six times today (07/05/12) after it was flagged as an important update this morning. Looking at my update history it also failed to instal on the 18th October last year but it has not bothered me since and i have not noticed it until now. Of the seven attempts I had the following error codes from earliest to latest : 800B0100, 80246007, 80010108, 8024200D, 8024200D, 8024200D, 8024200D. I have followed advice from MS running KB947821 and FIX IT also disabled my Norton 360 firewalls and auto protect but to no avail. Also I do not have a DVD with Windows 7 as it was not supplied with my PC and I don't want to restore my computer and lose all my installed software.

It worked fine in XP. I have 2 additional displays I'd like to control with the second video card. I do not have them connected in Sli. I uploaded a pic of the error message.

Jan 3, 2012Recently had a virus infection and noticed that the windows firewall service is missing. When trying to reset to recommended settings by using control panel received error code 0x80070424. Cannot access other computers or shared files/folders on home network. Saw a previous post dated 12-17 that appears to be the same problem.

Now when I start the computer up it says "the user profile service service failed the login, user profile cannot be loaded". The computer starts up in safe mode and won't let me do a system restore because it says it is shut off.When I look at User Profiles in Windows 7, it states that the users profile is as backup and the default profile is the local profile. How can I fix my computer to get my user profile back up and working?

Nov 17, 2012when i try to create a new user profile ~ with or without a password, it shows up on the main login page, but when i click on it to open, the message "UserProfileService_service failed the logon_user profile cannot be loaded". i have searched microsoft support with little solutions listed. and the ones that are listed seem too technical for me to be trying on my own. there are many posts there with this problem, but they all seem to be several years old.
i am using windows 7. i have never been able to create any accounts other than my administrator account & the one account i use for all my general computer use. i have been using norton 360 with no problems. i have resorted to just using any "log in/log out' links on all the sites my husband wants to use.i am really not all that confident doing anything super technical to fix this, since i don't have a real understanding of different extensions or types of files. i am afraid i could really mess everything up really bad. but, it would just be SO MUCH EASIER & FASTER if i had my account & my husband had his own account.

When she enters the password she gets the following message: "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded". 2.Subsequently I made the locker invisible using "Folder Protect" software.
3.When I was trying to add more files to the locker created in 1 the locker tried to "increase it's size on the run"...
4.This process failed and "Folder Lock" shut down and since then I cannot locate the locker anymore on my PC nor can I see it in "Folder Protect"
5.Having read on a forum, I uninstalled "Folder Protect" and reinstalled...but that did not help..I still could not find the Locker.
6.I even uninstalled and reinstalled "Folder Lock"...even this did not help
7.I understand the lockers created by "Folder Lock" are UNDELETABLE.
8.Clearly my locker is somewhere on my hard disk but I am unable to locate it.

Mar 5, 2011I have recently bought a new computer with a Windows 7 operating system. I have a broadband connection to BT which includes Outlook for e-mails. Frankly I like neither of these programs and having used Outlook express for well over 15 years I still think that it is the best and that it is open and has no hidden features.
How can I continue to work with OE?

Sep 9, 2011You can use outlook express in windows 7pro. windows 7 pro allows you to have windows xp mode as a virtual pc, the entire operating system if you wish to install your programs there. Its easy to switch back and forth. I had difficulty connecting till I checked outlook in the exceptions tab on the firewall.
