View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is a problem that has been plaguing me for a while, notably on Core Temp and some pop-up windows on Google Chrome. What would happen is, for example, I'd go to a livestream channel page and try to pop-out the chat. The window would do the maximizing animation (titlebar moving to the top of the screen) but there'd be no window. Minimizing and restoring the window would prove the same results. Other pop-ups, such as popping out the actual stream would load a window perfectly. This problem also replicates itself with the program Core Temp. Reinstalling both programs fixed the problem temporarily.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI play a game called starcraft 2, when playing this game you drag the mouse off the right side of the screen in order to move right. I just setup an extended desktop with one screen to the right of the primary. When playing this game and trying to move right the mouse just moves onto the extended screen. Is there a way to stop this happening so when I am running the game to lock the mouse into it so that it wont move across to the other screen (so I'd have to alt + tab the game to do so).

View 3 Replies View RelatedA menu item from a context menu frequently remains displayed after a mouse click. For instance I have a display that has the word 'Delete' on it. This display is on top of anything I type or try to read. That is why I had to put a carriage return after display above as I was unable to move anything so that the I could see what I was doing. The only way I have found to get rids of it is to reboot. Doesn't matter what program I am in. It happens when I click on a context menu item.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have run into a problem I haven't seen before on a HP desktop running Win 7 Ultimate x64. The users reported that when they open a window, ~30 instances of the window open at once. The error is intermittent, but since they shut down the PC after each use it may come and go with each boot. I looked at the machine and it functioned fine after several reboots, but eventually I was able to see some strange results. I didn't see the multiple windows open, but I did have some input issues. The mouse pointer would jump all over the screen and applications would open that were never clicked. The right click did not function correctly. Sometimes the context menu would flash on and off and sometimes nothing. I tried an alternate mouse and using a different USB port with identical results. I have run virus scans, malware scans and a registry scan, but no dice.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 synaptics left click acts like right click after reboot and the right click doesn't work at all. I've downloaded the most recent driver & searched for a solution online but haven't found anyone who has fixed this issue. Did everyone just give up or am I not patient enough & haven't dug deep enough. If I use a USB mouse there are no problems it just seems to be with the built-in after I've used the USB mouse.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to fix my friends computer and I'm having some issues. There was a nasty virus on it that I managed to get rid of, but now programs won't run unless I first right click and click "Run as Administrator". Shortcuts also won't work (I assume for the same reason.) Does anyone know of a fix for this so we don't have to constantly click "Run as Administrator"? By the way, there is only one user on the computer and it is an administrator.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently rescued a SSD that had seemingly failed, unfortunately i lost all data & my OS (which had to be re-installed) on my one remaining HDD until i did some research & repaired the problem.Would it be possible for me to transfer my current OS (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) wholesale, leaving all files & settings untouched from my HDD to my repaired SSD (as user friendly as possible)
View 4 Replies View RelatedCurrently I have a 120GB SSD, which I wish to have my OS on as well as other stuff such as games and what not. I got a 1TB HDD, which my OS is currently on, along with all my other data. I also have three 250GB HDDs that I want to set up in a RAID0 array (made the mistake of not setting it up properly when i first installed the OS).I am not sure how i can go about doing this. I would like a clean install of the OS if possible, but it's not necessary. I would also like to keep most of my data because I have no other drive to store it on.I would like my program files x64 folder on my 1TB, and I read a very nice guide how to set it up as such with tweaking some registry settings, but I can't find that guide for the life of me now (I have no idea what the hell I googled). Also, if I am able to do this OS transfer, am I also able to partition my SSD to just have a section for the OS and a section for all the other stuff? (The OS has so many ugly folders)

P.S. This is off-subject but I was only after thinking of it. My wireless adapter is a fair bit away from my router and it seems to have trouble connecting to the router whenever the two other laptops are connected to it. I would think that this is due to interference because all of the computers are on the same channel, is there any way to change the channel and would this be of benefit to me?
I have a latitude d830 running with windows 7 professional(SP1, 32bit). The cursor on my computer has been randomly scrolling by itself and hopping into places where i do not intend to type for a while now. I recently had windows xp removed and replaced with windows 7 because of multiple bothersome issues, but behold the cursor issue remains. My files were backed-up and reloaded to the computer and I now wonder if the "suspected" virus was transferred to my system again.

View 8 Replies View Relatedhow to go about moving hard drives to a new mobo. My current setup is running on an LGA 775 socket, and it's got two drives, one of which holds games and the other has Windows 7 ultimate which I installed. I need to know if there would be any issues if I got a better 775 socket motherboard and transferred the hard drives over. Would everything on the secondary drive stay the same as it was and be a simple swap? and would i have to reinstall windows on the primary drive or would I just be able to type in the product key again?
