i have a HP Pavilion dv6-6107sa and recently it has started to put.Extra things that might be worth noting it only adds the - when on the first press of the left arrow and my delete key is also deleting the first letter of a sentence rather then the letter to the right.No idea what happened but it has stopped doing it now for no apparent reason.

I have this key combination problem when playing PES 2012, then i found out that doesn't work on other apps too! I've tried other arrow key combinations and they worked?Clearly, when i hold together "Up arrow + Left arrow + S" it didn't work, but when i tried another, examples "Up + Right/Down + Left... + S" and it did work!

My keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+[left/right] arrow key doesn't work in any of my editors like: Microsoft word 2007; Microsoft wordpad; Open office writer and Abiword - I use this key combination for move between words in my word processors. Because of this problem is general in all of my editors I think this is not a software specific issue and belongs to my Win 7.

I went on control panel and the keyboard was still set to "English (United States) - US" and the language was still set to English. I tried pressing Ctrl + Shift and that didn't help either, no matter how many times i pressed it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm on a Lenovo Thinkpad T530 laptop that's about four months old. I had a key pop off and Lenovo shipped me a new keyboard, so I replaced it myself. Since then, I've had issues where every 20-30 minutes, the left click will start clicking on its own (the key is not stuck, it is not a physical hardware issue).Obviously, I figured that the problem came from the new keyboard (since I had the computer for three months with no problem before I replaced the keyboard). So I took the keyboard out, cleaned the inside of the computer and the pin connections with some compressed air, checked to make sure there wasn't any visible damage (nothing crushed, bent, or missing as far I can tell) and then put it all back together again. No luck, the problem persists. Just in case it isn't keyboard-related (doubtful) I am running a full system virus scan using MSE as I'm typing this, but I really think that there's something wrong with this keyboard. I uninstalled and reinstalled the PS/2 keyboard drivers and Synaptic touchpad drivers, to no avail.

I'm trying to uninstall all Office software, but Office Click-to-Run 2010 won't uninstall.When I try to uninstall it from the Programs and Features screen, I get an error message that reads, "The action could not be completed. Try the action again. If the action continues, contact Microsoft Product Support."I have tried the Microsoft Fix it for Me wizard (How do I uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if I cannot uninstall it from Control Panel?) to no avail, and I've tried Revo Uninstaller, which removes Office Click-to-Run from the Add or Remove Programs screen but does not uninstall it cleanly.There are two other Office 2010 entries in the Programs and Features list: Microsoft Office Starter 2010 - English and Microsoft Office 2010. These uninstall without any issue, but Office Click-to-Run 2010 won't budge.

In XP, when I selected a folder with say my down arrow key, the contents of the folder would be displayed. That's what I am used to.
However using Seven and navigating with arrow keys the folder contents are not refreshed. They continue to show the previous folder.
I have to touch the space bar to get it to display the files in a folder.
When I scroll through my sub-folders using explorer on the left hand side, it doesn't automatically display the contents on the right unless I use my cursor to manually select the folder, not just by scrolling up or down (right to left work to expand and contract folders). annoying. Ive tried the folder properties bar.

It says at the top. some settings can only be managed by your system admin, well i AM the system admin. it was showing up earlier and all i did was update windows and poof arrow gone and when i minimize things they disappear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA week back or so, it was all fine (With occasional Win 7 freezes, which i have never been able to troubleshoot). Then my Win 7 started showing a BSOD (Pretty frequently but randomly). While struggling with this i tried to add/remove RAM sticks (I am running on 4* 2GB = 8 GB in total. Tried to keep one stick (changed slots as well) and remove other three but still the same BSOD). Then i removed NVIDIA graphics card, hard disk & CD rom cables, processes and put everything back again. But to no use.BSOD was not really an issue, as I was thinking of reinstalling Windows and getting rid of that. Before that while Windows would restart (after a BSOD) the arrow keys were not working means: i was not able to choose from 1) boot windows normally 2) run repair etc options.Then i thought of booting the system from a bootable USB drive and run the repair. I pressed F12 to choose one time boot device, it showed the list but arrow keys were not working again. Strangely enough if i enter BIOS setup by pressing DEL, everything seems to work fine. So finally i made the USB drive my first boot device and the system was able to boot from it.I also had one Acronis bootable CD which i used for creating an image of C drive (After fresh Win 7 installation). I thought about restoring that image. I set my first boot device as CD ROM and was able to boot into Acronis. It gives 2 options (the default being boot into Windows). Acronis is a GUI based stuff so i tried to use mouse there. Oh man now mouse was not working and following the default option, the system was booting into Windows.

Anyway i was messing with the CMOS because it wouldn't turn on, so i was resetting it(once or twice) and when it turns on now, the computer directs me to the system repair page. It gives me the option to go repair the system or start windows normally, but the arrow keys don't work on this page. They work on the system repair's next page however. So i got out my Win7 disk preparing to reinstall, but after i put it in it directs it to the same page still.

The arrow keys move the focus to the next folder in the left hand window but does not display its contents in the right hand window. Using XP and all previous versions of windows (after the introduction of the mouse) this was possible.Is this just my installation or has this feature been removed like the "remember each folder's view settings"?I have a large database in Access and the folder tree that it accesses is huge. Using the arrows instead of the mouse saves time and is bore ergonomically friendly to my hand.
