Cnet Cnwl-311 Network Adapter - Device Or Driver Not Found
Jun 30, 2009I just installed Windows 7 RC version and I have my first (I hope last problem).
I have got Cnet cnwl-311 network adapter for an internet connection with router. I tried XP drivers but they don't work, when I try to launch cnet utility an error appears ,,device or driver not found". I tried rebooting,reinstering card,reinstalling drivers etc but It still doesn't work.
Maybe sb know how to make this work? Or have some other drivers (maybe for vista) which I can try?
Blue Screen When A Virus Is Found
Oct 28, 2011Norton let a virus through. I ran a scan in safe mode, and found some viruses, but my CPU usage was still unusually high. I ran Malwarebytes in safe mode, and found something, but my PC BSOD'd before it could be removed. It then rebooted, and regular Windows would not start. When it eventually started, it reported that it had shut down, error code 0xf4. Also, in safe mode, while loading it showed it was loading 'NISx64'. I guess this is Norton, so could the BSOD be caused my multiple AV programs running at the same time? I downloaded Super Anti Spyware. This also found a virus, but then BSOD'd. Windows then persisted to not function, so I ran multiple recovery discs, none of which worked, for example Kaspersky reported that the security database was corrupt. Is there a way to get rid of the infection without formatting the system?

Apr 2, 2012Since about a couple weeks ago my computer has been working fine. Then when i woke up on March 25, the minute my computer started i received an error message. I thought everything was alright but when i went to open my browser i received the message " The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." and "The procedure entry point _ftol2could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.". Everytime i try opening a programs like Photoshop,Word, Malwarebytes and ESET... it gives me that message(I tried dowloading and running rkill with different names but the message also popped up). Strangly I can still open SuperAntiSpyware and open games like Chess. I have tried running Microsoft Security Esssentials with no results. I have tried running SuperAntiSpyware in all modes (including the rescue scan) and it said that everything is clean. When i clicked on something that was only avaliable to the paid version my internet browser(Internet Explorer) popped up(So i think its like the Security scam that does not let you use programs).

Dec 28, 2010My Acer 7736Z-4809 laptop (pre-installed with Win7 Home Premium 64bit, so I don't have the Win7 CD) was recently hit with a virus. I constantly got the BSOD "iaStor.sys" and a black screen. Startup Repair at first couldn't complete repair, but when I tried again, it found no errors. Tried System Restore to no avail. Was able to do a System Image Recovery using a backup on an external HD, but none of the programs worked (wanted to use Ad-Aware and Spybot to eliminate the virus). When I clicked on programs on the desktop or Start menu, nothing happened, didn't even get an "Open with." Even in Safe Mode, none of the programs worked.
I checked the Task Mgr, and explorer.exe was still there, but RAID wasn't. Went to Control Panel Programs to uninstall/repair programs, but got message that programs seemed to be already uninstalled...it was like the programs weren't even recognized. Once in awhile when I clicked on IE8 in Windows Explorer (not via desktop shortcut or Start menu), IE8 actually opened, so I downloaded Hijack This and Avast anti-virus, but when I tried to install them, I got the msg: "Installation must be on a local hard drive." Continued to get the "iaStor.sys" BSOD. I read to run Verifier and disable it, so I tried that (not sure if that made things worse).
Tried to do another System Image Recovery, but this time it couldn't recognize the backup on the ext HD. Tried Startup Repair, and it couldn't complete repair. Went to Recovery Management to reset the OS, but my User ID(?) couldn't be found. Decided to do a Factory Install - during "Setup is preparing your computer for first use" I got the error msg: "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click 'OK' to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." Every time I try to restart it, I get the same error msg.

Laptop Won't Let Download CNET Software?
Sep 22, 2011I have downloaded some programs from CNET and when I run the exe it pops up with an error message saying there was a connection error. Which there isn't cuz im on right now lol. I've tried running as Admin and no dice, I've disabled firewall and security software and no dice, I've even allowed it full access and availability through the firewall and still no dice. I have no problem if it is a regular exe. but when it has the green cnet logo on it, I cannot get it to download and install.You can find my info below.I am not a newbie when it comes to computers. That is actually my profession. I build, repair, and customize computers and laptops, and I do coding also, mostly web coding, but I think this problem lies with CNET cuz I've done everything on my end. I've even forwarded a port for the downloads and still an error.

Within minutes of logging onto my computer, a message keeps popping up that there is a critical error and that the computer will restart within one minute. I have tried to do anything I possibly can to get rid of this issue! It does the same thing while booting up in safemode as well. I also tried to restore my computer to a previous date before this occurred, and it still keeps happening. I figured i'd try to restore it to factory settings also, but it does not give me the option while booting up (f11), or on my control panel. I also tried using the TDSSkiller but my computer reboots before the scanning/fixing finishes.
