Beginning about a week ago I cannot attach ANY files to my email (yahoo) because when I click on "attach file" the little box opens as usual, but when I click on "desktop" so I can access the file from it, nothing at all happens. It will not open for me to get to the file I have.
I just bought a new dell laptop which has the OS Windows 7 allready installed on the hard-drive.
Anyway I would like to change the defualt email from Outlook to Yahoo.mail. I have followed all instructions on both Windows 7 tutorials and yahoo tutorials but I have not been successful.
In the past when I wanted to attach a photo to an email I would browse the desktop for the folder that I wanted. Now for some reason I cannot access the desktop. When I browse I get the download folder. On the area on the left of the download folder specifies document, drives and my external drive. How can I correct this?
I'm trying to send some pictures and I want to reduce the size of them as I send themI'm using Windows Photo Gallery. I open it. My device is listed on the left hand column and when I click to view it, all it will do is try to import all the 3000 pictures I have on there. I don't want to put them into this new computer as they take up a lot of space. So, I just want to send a couple of them in an email.Maybe in this new computer with 450 GB, it would be okay to import them? can click on photo email as an attachment, and it will give me an opportunity to change the size and put it in the email. That's good, but I can't get to the pictures on my usb drive.I've dug around and found that it will not read unless the drive is listed under: computer, hard drives, and that is something the manufacturer does.
All of a sudden this evening I can no longer attach multiple images/files to an email. Neither does the "Control-A" or click on a file hold "shift" and click on another file work. Also when I attach a single file instead of giving me the progression bar it almost instantly indicated the file is attached.Of course this is irritating as multiple time a day I will send emails with images attached and I have to have this feature working.
Every time I try to attach a photo or doc to an email using either Yahoo, Comcast or whatever browser, the system freezes and crashes. I called Microsoft and spent over an hour with one of their techs, and he got it to work for about a week, now it's doing it again

Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.and i click try again it does the samething usually i have to click tryagain twice are go to my yahoo homepage and click my email and then logout again and usually after tha it logs out .I though maybe it was because i was using open DNS on my router so i switch to dynamic again but tha didn't help .
I've been having this problem for a while and can't find an exact match for my problem doing a Google search. I'm assuming it's a Windows 7 problem, but I'm not sure.I copy some text from Word 2010 and paste it into my Yahoo email, but some older text is pasted and not what I just copied. I don't know what is causing this.
Since the update, I am unable to use Yahoo Messenger video properly. I can broadcast video, but when trying to receive my g/f's video, it is choppy and within 20 seconds, it freezes. I have uninstalled and re-installed every Adobe product on my machine to no avail, and I'm beyond frustrated. I have scoured the web looking for answers, but can't seem to find relevant information.
