Trying To Use Device And Get Check IEEE1394

I have a golf range monitor I have the software that it uses on a ThinkPad running Windows 7 32 bit ed unactivated. It is connected through a firewire cable into a PCMIA card. Windows 7 is unactivated because I want to make sure the range monitor will work with it before buying windows 7 as I bought the computer on ebay. Regardless, I get an error when I open the software that reads, no Vectors detected(which is the name of the range monitor) check port IEEE1394 which is Firewire.I went to device manager and it said my pcmia card was working fine, so maybe its the cable?

I have an emu 1820m soundcard installed in my computer. It seems to be functioning perfectly. I can play dvd'd, cd's, iTunes, etc and the sound plays through my speakers without a problem. I want to record some sounds from a dvd but i cant get anything to record. Recording device is set to Wave EMU DSP as the default device. Im using Audacity to record and have set the recording preference device to be Wave (E-MU _-DSP). When I hit record I get an error 'Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project template'And I cant record anything.In the built in Windows sound recorder, when I hit record, I get this error 'An audio recording device cannot be found' Everything seems to be functioning perfectly, yet i just cant record anything.

Auto check comes up 4 times right after windows7 starts up. But will continue to boot normally. BEreg Query comes up with this.

Have 1 SSD drive for OS /C No partions and one HDD/D with 2 partions with acronis backup on one the other is clean.

How do i figure out what driver or even component windows wants software for when in the device manager under other devices it lists an unknown device and windows update cannot find anything.
Oh and is it appropriate for me to use this topic to ask another question regarding explorer.exe as while i am inside a folder i delete (by choosing delete from the context menu in the tree view) while inside that folder on this particular laptop PC explorer. always crashes, collect information, sends it and restarts explorer. I have not experienced this problem on any other pc running any version of windows 7, oh and the same happened with build 7264 x32 and the current install of build 7600 x64.

Have recently purchased a small usb inspection snake camera with led light and when testing it plugged it into two desktops computers (one xp pro not sure of the other as it was a network work computer) It automatically loaded the drivers and brought up a screen automatically with the realtime image.(no driver disc came with it). However plugging into my windows 7 64bit sony laptop it signals a connection beep, loaded drivers automatically but wouldn't open or show up on my computer disc manager as an external usb source to click on. It does however show up on device manager as a usb camera and when I unplug and replug in it disappears and reappears so I know I have the right camera (not the lap top webcam inbuilt one that shows USB 2 Camera). Have tried updating drivers automatically and uninstalling it etc. Need it to work on the lap top so it can act as the movable screen for it?

If i remove/uninstall 'High Definition Audio Device' Driver in Device Manager will Windows Update find it again?Because im having crackling issues basicly the sound is really choppy and choppy basicly and it makes my ram go to 100%

I was told my ram would be 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM Corsair or Major Brand, and I downloaded CPU-Z, and this is what I got from it.
it is DDR3, Module Size: 2048 MB, Max Bandwidth: PC3-10700H (667 MHz), Manufacturer: A-Data Technology.
Does this mean that it is not 1333 MHz, i mean it seems so obvious, but I am just checking if I was lied to or not.

I got a new hard drive for my HP Pavilion DV6T-6000. Installed windows 7 ultimate and a bunch of drivers from HP's drivers section for my computer and I still have this unkown device. It wasn't there on my old drive so something isn't right here.

i cant install nvidia drivers " this graphics driver could not find compatible graphic hardware", and i can't see my nvidia card on the device manager, and can't get the hardware ID, it looks like my laptop doesn't have this graphic card installed.
my latop is: ASUS - K52JC
2 graphics card, intel shared, and separated nvidia ( 310m cuda - 1GB )

but couldn't find device ID, because it is not listed on device manager

When I went to add a new Bluetooth keyboard (Control Panel>Add Devices).When pressing Add Device, nothing happens.I have two Bluetooth devices already installed, are listed under "Devices" are "found" and work fine.Problem is that, I can not either add new devices or, remove any of my Bluetooth devices already installed.Click Add Printer - fine, the wizard starts.Add Device - nothing."Remove Device" - when a device is highlighted for removal, the system appears to be "working" for a moment, but then does not remove the device, it remains.Have checked that Services related to Bluetooth have not been disabled but am wondering if anyone knows if there are any specific services that would be required for Add Devices or Removal of Devices to function? When I disable the network controller in Device Manager, the controller is disabled but nothing changes in Device Manager to identify the device as being disabled. When I used to do the same thing in Windows XP, the device icon turned yellow. Is there some setting to identify disabled devices in Win 7's Device Manager?

I have a dell lattitude lap top running windows 7. I had picked up a virus that seemed to shake up norton AV. I think I have it settled, but still can not have anyone webex in. Norton did not think this was the virus and suggest I search the OS or whatnot. Before reinstalling Windows 7, is there a program I can run similar to the old scan disk, to check for errors?

I was about to just uninstall most everything, and reinstall it. I am having an issue with a bsod for memory_management. I did a ram check, and a HDD check. Memtest86+ passed 5 times, nearly 6 but I stopped it when I woke up. WDC extended test proved no errors. That leaves me down to drivers.

I have two PCS running WIN 7 that are networked through a switch.I've been having issues with sharing folders & beleive I have it sorted now. But, want to check that the below is correct.I note that I can see folder changes, etc in the home network area and network area of the both PCs. But, I cannot see any changes directly in the C: Drive of each computer.Is this what I should be seeing?

So I try to schedule Disk Check on my C: drive by going to Computer-> Right Click on C: -> go to properties -> Tools -> Error Checking -> Check now ->select both Disk options (1. Automatically Fix file system errors 2. Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors). Tryin to check for updates and it says no updates are available when I know there is because I don't even have SP1 on here yet (Just got it out of box) It installed updates, once, but now will not properly search when I ask it to "check for updates" it just lets the bar scroll once "checking for updattes" then says "no important updates are available.. I turned firewall off, still no luck..
