Auto-check Program Not Found - Skipping Auto-check

Auto check comes up 4 times right after windows7 starts up. But will continue to boot normally. BEreg Query comes up with this.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
BootExecute REG_MULTI_SZ autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck autochk *"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck auto_reactivate \\?\Volume{a80f420c-d16d-11de-a2bb-806e6f6e6963}\bootwiz\asrm.bin"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck lsdelete"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck lsdelete"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck lsdelete"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck lsdelete"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck auto_reactivate \\?\Volume{a80f420c-d16d-11de-a2bb-806e6f6e6963}\bootwiz\asrm.bin"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck lsdelete"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck lsdelete"""\0autocheck "autocheck ""autocheck

I ran chkdsk/r attempting to fix a separate issue. And then I noticed afterwards that during the boot process, I would get this message:autochk* program not found - skipping AUTOCHECKThe message shows up after the windows logo and before the logon screen.I can still run windows just fine with no problems what-so-ever. The only issue with it, is that it's there. I just want to make the message go away. I can make it not show up by selecting "no GUI boot" in msconfig, but that only masks the issue.

I bought a Asus U36J laptop back in April of last year and ever since then I have been beating around an issue that I dont seem to be able to resolve one way or the other. When ever the laptop is on battery and in battery saving mode it has my taskbar on autohide. If I turn that off, then it stays off right until it is put back into battery saving mode at which point it is "magically" ticked on again.
Is there no way to simply disable that feature, as its annoying me greatly. I know its tied into the battery saving desktop, and I want to keep the battery saving desktop but want a full taskbar all the time. I found a supposed fix to make that happen, and while it actually makes the taskbar appear all the time, it still is a bad hack as any windows I have open wont "attach" to the taskbar but attaches to the buttom of the screen.
So for the love of god is there no sane way for me to keep the battery saving desktop but get rid of the autohiding taskbar. Otherwise I know Asus most likely wont be my laptop of choice next time aroumd.

Using XP I had written a program that opened automatically on certain dates when the computer was first turned on. I have the same program but it doesn't open on Windows 7 on the dates it is program to open. I believe I was able to have the program set to open by enter "RUN" and select programs to be open on start-up. I can't find the same start_up procedure on Win 7.

My VPN network has a habit of disconnecting me at odd times while I am sending files and my computer automatically then reconnects me directly thru my IP provider Comcast which is not as secure as I'd like.Is there a way to have the shutting down of one program (VPN) automatically shut down another (TeamViewer etc)?I read today about programs such as KillIt? but could not find much info on its working that is within my limited expertise.

program not being in focus when starting up.
I have a few computers here that all run this program that auto launches through the startup folder. this program is suppose to launch at full screen. However, on a couple of PCs this program launches as full screen but the start menu is given focus and not the program. while other PCs with the same setup, launch the program at full screen without giving focus to the start menu.
Just wondering if there is some option that's been selected on these machines that are giving focus to the start menu instead of the program.

I have a mounted .iso image file using DVDFab.I am able to play the file by going to my computer then right clicking on the mounted drive & choosing media player from the autoplay popup window to play it.But I want to use powerdvd to read the file and I am unable to do so because it doesn't recognize the image folder as a source. Is there a way I could add the cyberlink powerdvd to the autorun popup window where we can find listed windows media player, media player classic etc... I don't need to go to "view more autoplay options" and choose powerdvd inside, this is not helping in any way?

I am currently having problems getting Malwarebytes AntiMalware to function as I want it to and so a possible fix was to uninstall and reinstall. I did this and know CCleaner shows an InnoSetup program that also installed itself as autostart. I've found it is some old type of program installer, but I've never had it, and don't want it.

We have an account with audible.com, and books were downloading just fine on my old computer. Switching to a new computer, however, meant that I had to go through a process of getting audible downloads to work again -- an involved process, unfortunately, that involved spending a long time on the phone with an audible tech. In the end, all was well except one thing -- we can't get the download to be automatic.
Instead of immediately downloading when I click "download" at audible (as it did before), I now see the download window, then I click on that and get an "open the file" window, and then the "what program do you want to use to open this file" screen pops up. The audible download manager is there, and when you click it, the download begins just fine.
At the bottom of that screen is a checkbox that asks if you want to always use that program to open this type of file -- and I do! But for the audible download manager (not for the other programs), the checkbox is greyed out so that I can't check it. The audible guy says that that's the key to automatic download, but he couldn't figure out how to make checking that box an option.

I know it's not the best laptop but for the most part it does what i need. my only problem is when playing large HD movies in MKV format it's constant lagging and skipping. I have tried VLC and it's unwatchable. here is what i have
ASUS
AMD QUAD-CORE A6-3400M
RADEON HD 7620G2 1GB
8 GB DDR3
I usually like to get the largest file as it will make for a better pic. the smaller more compressed files aren't an issue. player the larger files?

ultimate is installed on my machine. everything was working perfectly including mics, speakers and rosetta stone software. then i went through the windows 7 vr training and setup and now my audio files are skipping the 1st 0.1 -2 seconds. it happens in speech recognition software. rosetta stone randomly now cuts of the beginning of every word/ phrase and the default tts message "you have selected microsoft anna (or other) as the computers default voice" skips the 1st couple of words. last time this happened i went for a full reinstall - and there is so much software on thr pc it took literally days to complete. in order to avoid that step again i would hope there is a work around for this problem. i have tried several restore function but its not fixing the problem. uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers

I was told my ram would be 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM Corsair or Major Brand, and I downloaded CPU-Z, and this is what I got from it.
it is DDR3, Module Size: 2048 MB, Max Bandwidth: PC3-10700H (667 MHz), Manufacturer: A-Data Technology.
Does this mean that it is not 1333 MHz, i mean it seems so obvious, but I am just checking if I was lied to or not.

I have a dell lattitude lap top running windows 7. I had picked up a virus that seemed to shake up norton AV. I think I have it settled, but still can not have anyone webex in. Norton did not think this was the virus and suggest I search the OS or whatnot. Before reinstalling Windows 7, is there a program I can run similar to the old scan disk, to check for errors?

I was about to just uninstall most everything, and reinstall it. I am having an issue with a bsod for memory_management. I did a ram check, and a HDD check. Memtest86+ passed 5 times, nearly 6 but I stopped it when I woke up. WDC extended test proved no errors. That leaves me down to drivers.

So I try to schedule Disk Check on my C: drive by going to Computer-> Right Click on C: -> go to properties -> Tools -> Error Checking -> Check now ->select both Disk options (1. Automatically Fix file system errors 2. Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors). Of course, it tells me that the disk is in use and asks me if I would like to check for disk errors the next time I start my computer. I click yes
