Is there a trigger that I can use for the Windows 7 Scheduler that will trigger a task when another computer comes online?That is, instead of me having a batch file constantly pinging a particular IP on my local network to see if a device is online, could I create a trigger instead?

There is no autosave for adobe illustrator cs6 "yet", and I forget to do cltr+s every minute. Is there a way to schedule it so the system triggers cltr+s every minute?
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe problem is if I create a new task for the task scheduler which is having multiple triggers, only the first entered trigger is recogized and used. E.g., I have two weekly triggers to execute a program. The first selects Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, and Fri to run the program. The second selects the weekend to run the program, i.e. Sat, Sun. --> Now, the program starts only on Mon to Fri. The Sat/Sun trigger is neglected and the program doesn't start on the weekend.If I delete the first Mon-Fri trigger, suddenly the weekend trigger is recognized. If I then add the Mon-Fri trigger again (now as second trigger), it remains unoticed, i.e., only the weekend trigger remains used.In all cases I made sure the triggers were set "active".

I guess, in theory, Task Scheduler should come in handy, but first, the correct Event ID for the above-mentioned change needs to be determined. I couldn't find it yet. I found a standalone program NetSNSOR that can trigger alarm. However, a built-in process would be more useful.

I can play dvd'd, cd's, iTunes, etc and the sound plays through my speakers without a problem. I want to record some sounds from a dvd but i cant get anything to record. Recording device is set to Wave EMU DSP as the default device. Im using Audacity to record and have set the recording preference device to be Wave (E-MU _-DSP). When I hit record I get an error 'Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project template'And I cant record anything.In the built in Windows sound recorder, when I hit record, I get this error 'An audio recording device cannot be found' Everything seems to be functioning perfectly, yet i just cant record anything.

Oh and is it appropriate for me to use this topic to ask another question regarding explorer.exe as while i am inside a folder i delete (by choosing delete from the context menu in the tree view) while inside that folder on this particular laptop PC explorer. always crashes, collect information, sends it and restarts explorer. I have not experienced this problem on any other pc running any version of windows 7, oh and the same happened with build 7264 x32 and the current install of build 7600 x64.
Have recently purchased a small usb inspection snake camera with led light and when testing it plugged it into two desktops computers (one xp pro not sure of the other as it was a network work computer) It automatically loaded the drivers and brought up a screen automatically with the realtime image.(no driver disc came with it). However plugging into my windows 7 64bit sony laptop it signals a connection beep, loaded drivers automatically but wouldn't open or show up on my computer disc manager as an external usb source to click on. It does however show up on device manager as a usb camera and when I unplug and replug in it disappears and reappears so I know I have the right camera (not the lap top webcam inbuilt one that shows USB 2 Camera). Have tried updating drivers automatically and uninstalling it etc. Need it to work on the lap top so it can act as the movable screen for it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am now struggling with a virus that seems to have imbedded itself in my windows 7 system.I tend not to use it too regularly but the boyfriend does use it to play games in Facebook. I am running a Norton antivirus which has been pretty good up till now. The computer seems to be running fine but my email account has been hijacked and on finding this out I have checked the computer and tried to perform a scan of both the windows system and also my accounts to no avail.The desktop symbols are all in place but none of them are working. I have also tried running a scan in safe mode, once again it would not work. The task manager did not show any action with regards to the antivirus scan that I had requested it to perform.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently gotten this problem where I cannot connect to any online game, I will get to the login screen and when I input my details it always comes up with an error like "Cannot connect to authentication server or Cannot connect to authorization server".The weird thing is I logged in and played Aion fine earlier today but when I tried to play recently came up with "Cannot connect to authorization server" no maintenance or updates at the moment, havn't changed anything since last time I played, tried with firewall and antivirus off (applies for other games as well).My computer is connected to a router which is connect to a modem (Needs to be like that because other members of the house need to use the internet. I found that when connecting directly to the modem Dragon Nest works but still no other games work which doesn't help me. Is there any option in the router settings that could be messing with the connections.

Even if task manger can open i can not restart explorer. The only way to stop it is to restart my computer.
