Online Videos Playback / Animations Choppy With Full Internet Connection
Mar 14, 2011I'm working on an Hp pavilion elite 210y pc. It's got a lot of stuff like amd phenom II 945 quad core processor. I have windows 7 and internet explorer eight and an at&t modem hooked up directly to the computer, the status bar says it has full internet connection and the specs of that look fine but the internet is kind of slow, not my biggest concern. My main problem is that it won't play videos without making it choppy and hard to see even after a video is loaded completely it still lags and won't play correctly. Pretty much anything that is animated and over the internet is garbage; internet games, ads, even text comes up slow.

Dec 15, 2012I've tried several things. I have wifi access and its high bars but when i try to go online it fails to connect. I tried troubleshooting and there are no problems detected but it says something about microsoft not being able to connect. Can anyone help with this? It's been a little over a week.

Feb 13, 2013I am now struggling with a virus that seems to have imbedded itself in my windows 7 system.I tend not to use it too regularly but the boyfriend does use it to play games in Facebook. I am running a Norton antivirus which has been pretty good up till now. The computer seems to be running fine but my email account has been hijacked and on finding this out I have checked the computer and tried to perform a scan of both the windows system and also my accounts to no avail.The desktop symbols are all in place but none of them are working. I have also tried running a scan in safe mode, once again it would not work. The task manager did not show any action with regards to the antivirus scan that I had requested it to perform.

Jan 21, 2012I have recently gotten this problem where I cannot connect to any online game, I will get to the login screen and when I input my details it always comes up with an error like "Cannot connect to authentication server or Cannot connect to authorization server".The weird thing is I logged in and played Aion fine earlier today but when I tried to play recently came up with "Cannot connect to authorization server" no maintenance or updates at the moment, havn't changed anything since last time I played, tried with firewall and antivirus off (applies for other games as well).My computer is connected to a router which is connect to a modem (Needs to be like that because other members of the house need to use the internet. I found that when connecting directly to the modem Dragon Nest works but still no other games work which doesn't help me. Is there any option in the router settings that could be messing with the connections.

May 20, 2012Every time i start EVE Online, and click somewhere the game crashes, then explorer.exe crashes, and so does everything else. Even if task manger can open i can not restart explorer. The only way to stop it is to restart my computer. I did clear the game cache and even that did not help, i have also reinstalled, de-fragmented, and done a hard drive disk check.

Nov 22, 2009I have a new system running win7 64-bit, and so far I have not been able to get it to connect to the Internet using a PCI wireless card or usb adapter.
So in the interim, I'm trying to get it to connect via an access point functioning as a bridge. I've confirmed that the bridge works because it successfully connects my laptop (running windows XP) to the net.
However, when I plug in the same connection to my win7 system, it doesn't work. I've gone one step back and tested the Ethernet connection directly from the router, and that works. So I've confirmed that the Ethernet port is working properly.
It's just that when I plug in the bridge connection to the Ethernet port, it doesn't work.
Anybody got any ideas? How come my bridge works with my laptop, but not my new PC?
No Online Video Playback?
Jul 1, 2011I just finished building my first computer and everything seems to work fine. However, when I perform a WEI test I receive the error "Could not measure video playback". I made sure drivers were up to date etc. but still couldn't complete the test. The log file had a line saying "Unable to create D3D device" but games and movies on my hard drive worked fine so I decided it wasn't a big deal.Now, however I have just realized that I am unable to watch streaming flash videos online and think the two may be related. Video loads but upon playing video screen turns green and only audio plays.
