I received a pop-up claiming the need to purchase items to recovery Windows 7. This caused a hardrive failure. All programs are now gone. It is a laptop...I can occasionally access the internet under guest loggin.

In Win 7, I read that snipping too is part of the operating system in Home Premium, Ultimate, Pro and Enterprise. Unchecking Tablet PC Components will not disable snipping tool.
So, how do I disable it, or is it possible at all ?
What if you order a windows 7 upgrade with another laptops serial number and product number??... for HP laptops??!.
View 9 Replies View RelatedBeen searching the net for ages to sort out this bug in IE, but alas.Basically, if you try to open like a hundred IE windows, I start getting weird issues.I can open hundreds and hundreds of FF windows, but for some reason, IE doesn't hack it.I read that it's something to do with desktop heap, so I upped it's value via the registry (SharedSection), but to no avail. Messes up at something like 70 windows, every time. Has anyone managed to successfully open 100 IE windows here in Windows 7 Pro x64?

My question is looking at other people that have the same machine are rating at around 7 on the processor part of the WEI, but I am rating a 4.7!!!!! I have also seen many machines at work that have far lower processing power that rate a higher score than I do.

I have a laptop that's running Win7 ultimate. I can connect to my home wireless network, but it add's a number to the end of my ssid. If it says ssid (4) than I will have problems connecting to internet and other computers on my network, but if it says ssid (2) than I have no problems. The question I have is how to keep my laptop from adding the numbers to my ssid, so I have no problems connecting to my home wireless network?

I'm trying to copy a DVD catalogue with over 30,000 product images onto a USB backup drive. Windows 7 Explorer cannot seem to do this. It copied some of the files but then just stopped copying.I rebooted my machine and tried to copy the files again but Windows reports that it's going to take almost 4 hours to copy! I suspect, however, that it will fail again to complete the task. The backup device has a data transfer rate of 450Mbps so it really shouldn't take that long, surely? Is there other software I should use that's better than Windows Explorer? Or some other method to accomplish what I would have expected to be a simple task?

So I record music on my PC and have 2 guitar pedals and a synthesizer running to my computer via usb 2.0 to utilize their midi features. For some reason though when I have all of these devices on at once, one of the devices keeps disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again. I switched out the usb cable for the device and same thing.
I got a nzxt iuo1 usb expansion hub to open up some of my usb ports for future use. I don't know if this could be causing the problem because the hub itself draws its power from a psu molex header. I have the hub plugged into one of my motherboards usb headers. The hub has two flash drives and the front panel usb and card reader panels plugged into it.
On the back of my tower at the motherboards I/O port, I have these items plugged in through USB; mouse, keyboard, GNX4(guitar pedal), GR-55(guitar pedal), MO6(synthesizer), and an xbox 360 wireless reciever for gaming. Do I have more devices plugged in than Windows 7 can handle?
