View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I got this virus, I went and bought trend micro titanium and cleaned it up (was using a free30 day trial of something else) but I'm still having a problem. Whenever I go to shut down or restart my computer, it starts doing it like normal, but right at the end I get this blue screen with a bunch of messages written, it last about 5 seconds while a countdown happens at the bottom of the screen, then it restarts (even if I went Shutdown).
Sometimes minutes after I log back into the user, the blue screen comes up out of nowhere, does it's 5 second odd countdown and restarts. I should get minidump files. The countdown at the bottom of the blue screen is called "crash dump" or something like that. With the virus whenever I tried to open an internet explorer or google chrome window, all that would come up was "win 7 home security", I'm not getting that anymore though after doing the full scan with trend.
Additional info: I have windows 7, my pc is a HP Pavilion laptop, model number is DV6 - 2144TX
I was using my laptop when all of a sudden the blue screen appeared and restarted automatically. And also additional info. My laptop's battery is broken for several years no so I used the adapter for power so I think that might have cause some problems with the way I used my laptop. I uploaded the files

I recently started getting this problem where my pc [desktop] crashes and restarts for itself. then sometimes i get the following message
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3

i'm not sure if its the same everytime but this is what i got on the last occasion. i taut that the problem was with the amd catalyst suit, 12.8-which i upgraded to when it released- because sometimes upon restarting i did not get any display signal from the video card on my f22 aoc monitor. i did uninstall this driver and installed an older version [11.8 i think] and got an ease up on the problem. no restarting as regular as before. only during games.
Basically the main problem is that whenever my computer is left running for any given amount of time, them I will get a system restart. I would be transferring a large amount of files from a hard drive to a backup overnight, only to find myself on the login screen and half of the files transferred next morning. Or I'd be playing a game, surfing the web, even the simplest of tasks, it doesn't matter.
I am currently running Windows 7 64-Bit (A perfectly legal version too lol)
Here are the problem details of the blue screen. I am very certain it is the same exact problem every time. Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1

My dad had been trying to install a usb modem for internet connection on my sony vaio laptop which is running on windows 7. For some reason every time after the installation was done and he clicked connect the system crashed and show a blue screen and showed something about writing a memory dump. In a few moments the system restarts but takes longer time than usual. He tried uninstalling and installing a couple of times and it always had the same result. I'm not worried about the fact that the modem did not work but the crashes worries me
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new computer from Cyberpower PC and am having all kinds of trouble with it. I finally got it to work last night after reinstalling windows from the recovery disk. However, Now I am getting 2 blue screen of death messages. When I try start up it asks whether I want to "Start Windows Normally" or "Launch Startup Repair". When I select Launch Startup Repair I get a BSOD message saying Unmountable_Boot_Volume. When I launch Windows Normally I get a BSOD saying STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Verification of a KnownDLL failed. system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000020 (0x009224e0 0x00000000). The system has been shut down.
I have trying booting in safe mode and launching from last known good configuration and that did not work. I tried booting from the recovery disk and running chkdsk which, also, did not work. I have tried booting from the recovery disk and doing a system restore as well. When I boot to the recovery disk and select "Repair Computer" it says that "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair.
Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of Windows." This does not make sense to me as I just reinstalled Windows from that same recovery disc. Furthermore, when I try to boot the computer from safe mode it freezes at avgidsha.sys. I am going to try using an AVG recovery disc to disable AVG and determine whether or not that is a the problem. However, I have had so many problems with this new computer and am unsure whether it is a hardware or a software problem. And if it is a software problem whether it is a bad driver or bad copy of Windows 7.
My system is as follows:
Windows 7 Sp1 64 bit
Brand CyberpowerPC
Model Gamer Ultra 2103
Processor AMD FX-Series FX-8150 3.6GHz
Processor Main Features 64 bit Eight-Core Processor

Attempting to install win 7 on cpu that is currently running linux, I am getting a blue screen with "bad system config info error".

When I close the lid of my laptop, and then reopen it sometime after, the screen is black. Power light is on, I can here sounds, such as plugging in a usb device, but is black. I just restart it and its back, but I shouldn't have to do that every time.
View 3 Replies View Relatedbeen awhile since i been here but im back sadly and worried...So ima explain best i can what i did that maybe caused the BSOD. First off my cpu is OC but barely and no voltage changes and has been that way for 3 or so months. By default it runs at 3.8Ghz and i just OC it to 4.0Ghz and its been running that way fine for months and its made to be OC way more so i highly doubt its that. 2nd. I do have dameon tools and i see alot of ppl say that can cause it but again, its been on pc 4 ever and never had no issues with it and it rarely gets used but it still does get used here and there.3rd. I installed some codecs yesterday to try to get sony vegas to read a video and i probably installed 3 different codecs and some were named the same and it was the coded for a h264 or something like that, i already uninstalled that.
4th. No major changes have been made to pc, no recent windows updates, program installs or nothing has been done. Only thing i did most recently yesterday was upgraded a widget for reading GPU and its called GPU meter.5th. Finally and im scared this might be the issue is i noticed on sony vegas ( video editing program ) that it likes to max out all my cores and i noticed the temps reached 90-94 on my cpu which really scared me but ive only used this program twice but i was thinking maybe it was damaging my cpu but not sure. The last thing i was doing when it BSOD was i had a video uploading to facebook and firefox was open and a little dialoge box telling me how far video was done and apparently it got finished and i went to get drink and came back and BSOD was up and the pc didnt auto restart like it did before, had to force shutdown and restart.
I am having difficulty with drivers on my Acer Aspire 5253 system using Win 7. It is a couple months old. Within the last month, I have been getting random blue screen of death error messages in which the computer shuts down to prevent damage. The computer boots up fine without any problems. The blue screen that I see contains the same information each time.
View 14 Replies View Relatedone day it suddenly crashed while i was watching a movie. it displayed random patterns on screen. kinda like part of the image from the video is on the screen then a black strip and random colors. I restarted the unit to safe mode and left it on and browsed the net and downloaded some big files for how many hours and nothing happened.. there are also times when windows is still loading with the windows logo on screen, it crashes. there are also times when the login screen is displayed and it crashes. it just crashes randomly! so i tried to reformat it. i deleted the partitions and created a new one, formatted it then fresh installed windows 7 ( my previous OS is windows 7 by the way) and started installing the basic drivers and after a few hours, it crashed again...thinking that the driver installed might not be compatible, i tried another fresh install of windows (same execution, delete partition, create, install OS) and this time, without installing the drivers, it crashed again after a few hours... sometimes it crashes immediately after turning it on from cold start!
View 7 Replies View RelatedBlue screen and freezing. This is happening frequently but never has any regularity to it. Sometimes happens after a couple of days and sometimes after a couple of minutes. Also sometimes with only one browser window open and sometimes with 15 or more. Happens with both chrome and firefox. Has not happened with other programs as this lapy only gets used for surfing/email/forums etc. Sometimes happens while the computer is sitting idle right after boot. Very strange.
