Oct 15, 2009I have Win 7 pro (RTM from MSDNAA).
When I install Win 7 or Vista driver, framerate in games (CSS, WOW, SIMS3) is too low (only 40 % of FPS than in win XP) and game lags (SIMS3 too). When i instal Xp drivers (not newest) with no WDDM support, framerate is OK, but AERO is not activated and i cant activate it and my card isn't visible in Nv control panel so i can't set up TV (S-video) output.
I have tried many drivers (WHQL, beta, nonWHQL), but problem remains.
Any solution?

I had an issue with an outdated driver. When Windows Update had their most up-to-date drivers installed, it installed an older version instead of the latest one.
This cleared up all of my problems and I'm sure it will help you with yours.
Just as a precaution, I'd check to see if you have this folder before updating though (just incase!)

Dec 28, 20122 days ago this appeared on my desktop and although I can still use my computer the desktop background is black and in the bottom right corner it says Windows 7 build 7600 is not genuine. I dint get any product key from the dealer. when i bought the laptop it said windows is activated and it is genuine.

The last thing I changed in my system was adding an SSD which was about 3 months ago now, and haven't had any problems. It is on Windows 7 Ultimate and I have had it installed for nearly 2 years now(jan 2011).

[code] Second problem is that the windows cannot be installed since the right driver cannot be found. Using the windows software we first disinstalled the initial windows 7 home editions and followed the next steps to install the new windows 7 enterprise version.After finishing the language set up a new box comes up to "select the driver to be installed".Whatever I do, the programme cannot find right driver.I got the necessary driver from the company that configured the computer, but the systems does not recognise it. I have tried to check the BIOS set up, and it appears to be alright...., though I am not really an expert. Which driver should I use in this case?Is there some set up change to consider before installing windows 7?

May 23, 2011I also have a Liteon ihas424 98B DVD writer, that win7-64 will not recognize during install (but it reads the win7 install DVD..) Installed win7-32 and all is fine. Used PLDS smartpack utility to update the DVD firmware, to latest level. Ran twice, 2nd time no update. rebooted to win7-64 install dvd, win7-64 install still pops error right before unpacking files, CD/DVD driver missing... I gotta say huh? win7-32 has the driver, 64 does not?I will try to find another win7-64 install dvd.

Jul 26, 2010This was my first time building a computer and everything went smoothly until the Windows 7 64bit installation. Right after the installation starts, a box pops up that says a "Required CD/DVD drive driver is not found" and that I can take out my Windows CD to install the driver. My CD/DVD drive is a LiteOn iHAS424-98 and the manual says that it should be ready for installation with Windows 7 without any drivers. The drive did come with a CD for Nero 9 and drivers/manuals, but when I put that CD in at the appropriate time, it still says no drivers are found. I looked at reviews for the drive on newegg and most of them said their installation went smoothly, but a couple seemed to have similar problems. However, each time they seemed to be caused by different things. I do not have another copy of Windows so I am trying to find solutions other than buying another copy. I'm not sure what's going on with it.

Jul 28, 2009I'm installing Windows 7 Beta x64 Build 7600 with a 4.7GB DVD but once it gets to the 'finishing installation' part it seemingly reboots (I think?) to continue with the install but the thing is at this point in time for me the screen goes blank and all I see is the cursor which I can move around. If I power it off and then turn it back on the loading screen comes up but when I get to the log on screen the same thing happens again.
The exact same thing happens to me with Vista. I installed it like three times (the difference is on Vista it gets past the install but still won't get past the logon screen so I can never shut down, restarting is fine though for some reason) and I'm being forced to roll back to 64-bit XP which to be honest I really don't want. So far I've detected that it's not the DVDs. It might be the RAM but I replaced both temporarily and that didn't work either.

Dec 21, 2011My computer runs on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. I downloaded the latest installation software for my Lexmark X7675 Professional inkjet printer and installed it. I chose the USB cable option and when I plug in the USB cable driver installation proceeds without problems until it says that the drivers has been installed correctly and the printer is ready for use. The printer is also available on the Printers and Drivers manager of Windows. But, to test the printer, I tried to print a page from MS-Word by clicking Ctrl + P> OK. The document is sent to the spooler where it just sits with the status "Printing". Furthermore, when I try to adjust the printer properties from Word by clicking: Ctrl + P> Properties, the window just freezes and there is no response.
Also when I click: Ctrl + P> Find Printers, in MS-Word, a fault message immediately pops up that says: "The Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable". I sometimes also get a Lexmark error message that says that there are communication problems.
I already spent a day installing and uninstalling the Lexmark software and drivers, as well as various other tricks offered by the Lexmark fault wizard. I found that sometimes when I reboot the computer that the document hanging in the spooler gets printed out while rebooting. However, the printer can't seem to print normally when I click print or when I try to print a test page from the printer's options box. The printer is coupled by means of Wi-Fi to the home Wi-Fi network and another computer prints faultlessly to the Lexmark with the same software and drivers but just using the Wi-Fi option. Jan 7, 2013Okay so, my laptop's system is unable to boot, so I just tried to format it since I have to do that for a very long time, and when it asked me in which partition I want to install windows there was nothing, although when I clicked "Load Driver" I could access the hard disk's files, the hard disk IS listed in the bios normally but windows does not recognize it, I tried using Kaspersky Rescue disk(the only CD I had along with the recovery disk)and when I used the File Manager, the hard disk still didn't show, are there any drivers I have to install?I have burned both fujitsu9that's my laptop) and Seagate's websites and can't find anything, I have searched forums but the only answers were "check if your hd is listen in bios".So, i IS listed in bios but I can't reinstall windows nor access it

"No signed Driver Found, Please insert CD/DVD/ Floppy", and my RAID configuration does not appear in the box as a hard drive for Windows to be installed into.
After researching on the web and contacting ASUS, I still don't understand. From what I can gather, it is a driver that will make THE INSTALLATION PROCESS RECOGNIZE MY RAID configuration. Apparently, it must be downloaded onto a thumbdrive and installed "during" the Windows installation. Is it specific to this type of installation, or manufacturer specific? Asus or Windows? A third party??

But although it SAYS that it has installed correctly, TWAIN does not fire up and I am unable to use the scanner. It also makes a weird noise through the computer's loud speaker going "dee-dum" every 2 seconds.(Fwiw, the sound is like two low-ish frequency guitar strings being plucked, about 1 octave apart).Also in the Control Panel unders System the scanner dialogue is disappearing and refreshing every 2 seconds as well.It sounds to me like something is rejecting the driver, but not showing any error message to screen.- Is there any way to (permanently) "give permission" to the driver to run?

Computer Says "no Devices Found" For Sound
Jun 7, 2012We just built a computer yesterday and as we plugged in the speakers on the 7.1 audio on the motherboard, there was no sound! we checked control panel>hardware and sound>sound> and it says "no devices found". we downloaded sound drivers from "realtek", installed it, restarted, still a no go! but as we plugged in the usb headset, voila, there was sound! what we dont understand is why wont the 7.1 audio channel work on the motherboard?
