2 days ago this appeared on my desktop and although I can still use my computer the desktop background is black and in the bottom right corner it says Windows 7 build 7600 is not genuine. I dint get any product key from the dealer. when i bought the laptop it said windows is activated and it is genuine.
All of a sudden I have this message in the corner of my screen- Windows 7 Build 7600- This copy of Windows is not genuine. The last thing I changed in my system was adding an SSD which was about 3 months ago now, and haven't had any problems. It is on Windows 7 Ultimate and I have had it installed for nearly 2 years now(jan 2011).
Here is the info I believe is required- Code: Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0): Windows Validation Data--> Validation Code: 50 Cached Online Validation Code: 0xc004c4a2 Windows Product Key: *****-*****-PBK92-KWTRM-7FQ86 Windows Product Key Hash: 0ojg7y87+6j4X6NsORHutDvdGCo= Windows Product ID: 00426-068-4387193-86872 Windows Product ID Type: 5 [Code] .....
A few pop-ups lead me to some kind of Windows validation where after a few minutes it came up with the message- "The product key used to activate Windows on your PC is already in use on another PC or has been blocked by Microsoft. Not to worry, we can assist you with that."
I'm installing Windows 7 Beta x64 Build 7600 with a 4.7GB DVD but once it gets to the 'finishing installation' part it seemingly reboots (I think?) to continue with the install but the thing is at this point in time for me the screen goes blank and all I see is the cursor which I can move around. If I power it off and then turn it back on the loading screen comes up but when I get to the log on screen the same thing happens again.
The exact same thing happens to me with Vista. I installed it like three times (the difference is on Vista it gets past the install but still won't get past the logon screen so I can never shut down, restarting is fine though for some reason) and I'm being forced to roll back to 64-bit XP which to be honest I really don't want. So far I've detected that it's not the DVDs. It might be the RAM but I replaced both temporarily and that didn't work either.
I started the computer today and after logging in, the desktop turned to a black screen, with 'Build 7600-This copy of windows is not genuine'.No start button or anything.I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del and started cmd, as that was the only thing that worked. Then I noticed, that instead of the usual "C:User" prompt, it instead read "C:found.000dir0001.chksystem32>"I tried running the registry editor, but that would not start. The installation disk does not work either.
I am curently running Windows 7 Build 7127. Then I dowloaded Build 7600 (should be). Tried to install it, there was opytion to upgrade. But, when I click upgrade it said that no possibility for it. means that I shoul install cleanly.
I built my own computer, used the 7 Beta version until I bought my own Ultimate version. Have been running that since it first came out and earlier this week, this error popped up. Ran a bunch of scans with no fixes. I also tried a system restore, but it wouldn't let me.

what do i do my window 7 has "this copy of window 7 is not genuine build 7600" and my system is slower than before.i used HIJACKTHIS software to scan it?
My current system was upgraded to windows 7 32bit from vista 32bit (I bought the windows 7 home premium upgrade disc when it was first released). I am going to build a complete new system. Can I install windows 7 64bit from the same windows 7 disc? Or do I have to buy a new windows 7 disc? Is there a way around buying a whole new disc?
I have two machines, desktop and laptop, both running Windows 7 Build 7600 (64-bit and 32-bit respectively) that just started getting the "Code 80070005" message when running Windows Update. I have seen many others with this issue (apparently it used to be an issue with Vista) but it's surfacing again on Windows 7. I have tried any of the proposed fixes, Rebuilding the "C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution"Running the SubInACL tool to repair file and registry permissionsDisabling the firewall (Windows Firewall) and anti-virus (Avast Home) without any effect.Does anyone have a reliable fix yet? I'd rather not reformat both machines just because there's an incorrect setting somewhere.
My computer runs on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. I downloaded the latest installation software for my Lexmark X7675 Professional inkjet printer and installed it. I chose the USB cable option and when I plug in the USB cable driver installation proceeds without problems until it says that the drivers has been installed correctly and the printer is ready for use. The printer is also available on the Printers and Drivers manager of Windows. But, to test the printer, I tried to print a page from MS-Word by clicking Ctrl + P> OK. The document is sent to the spooler where it just sits with the status "Printing". Furthermore, when I try to adjust the printer properties from Word by clicking: Ctrl + P> Properties, the window just freezes and there is no response.
Also when I click: Ctrl + P> Find Printers, in MS-Word, a fault message immediately pops up that says: "The Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable". I sometimes also get a Lexmark error message that says that there are communication problems.
I already spent a day installing and uninstalling the Lexmark software and drivers, as well as various other tricks offered by the Lexmark fault wizard. I found that sometimes when I reboot the computer that the document hanging in the spooler gets printed out while rebooting. However, the printer can't seem to print normally when I click print or when I try to print a test page from the printer's options box. The printer is coupled by means of Wi-Fi to the home Wi-Fi network and another computer prints faultlessly to the Lexmark with the same software and drivers but just using the Wi-Fi option. How to get this computer to print via USB cable.
I am currently running OS 7 Beta RC Build 7100. Were do I get this newer version, is there a big difference? And am I able to upgrade to the newer Beta?
I realize that October is fast approaching for the RTM but I plan to keep running the Beta for a couple of months past the Grand Opening.
Is it possible that all the updates that I have received equally add up to the newer build?
Hardware Canonscan LiDE 600F / Windows 7 x64 Pro?I have tried to install "LiDE 600F Scanner Driver Ver. 12.1.2 (Windows 7 x64/Vista64/XP x64)" lide600fvst641212ea15.exe (version:12.1.2 Size:12.19MB Posted:10/19/2009). But although it SAYS that it has installed correctly, TWAIN does not fire up and I am unable to use the scanner. It also makes a weird noise through the computer's loud speaker going "dee-dum" every 2 seconds.(Fwiw, the sound is like two low-ish frequency guitar strings being plucked, about 1 octave apart). Also in the Control Panel unders System the scanner dialogue is disappearing and refreshing every 2 seconds as well.It sounds to me like something is rejecting the driver, but not showing any error message to screen.- Is there any way to (permanently) "give permission" to the driver to run?
when i try to upgrade to build 7600 i get the error "You cant upgrade this pre release version of Windows 7. Go on-line to see how to install Windows 7 and keep your files and settings." is this a know issue or am i doing something wrong?
When I try to login then whole Windows 7 freezes before it has reached to the desktop, this often happens if I try to login just when the screen comes up, but if I wait like 3-5 minutes it doesn't freeze.
Could it be any services doing this or just Windows 7?
When I install Win 7 or Vista driver, framerate in games (CSS, WOW, SIMS3) is too low (only 40 % of FPS than in win XP) and game lags (SIMS3 too). When i instal Xp drivers (not newest) with no WDDM support, framerate is OK, but AERO is not activated and i cant activate it and my card isn't visible in Nv control panel so i can't set up TV (S-video) output.
I have tried many drivers (WHQL, beta, nonWHQL), but problem remains.
So I have the RARed files for 7600.16385 and I tried adding and replacing the files from the 7600.16384 ISO with these and burning them to a DVD. I thought I had done it correctly but after installing Windows 7 again I soon discovered that I had once again installed 7600.16384.
Can anyone help me use the files I have to create a bootable ISO?
I know I can do it from a flash drive, but I really want to be able to create a DVD of this using the files I already have. Thank you in advance to anyone who helps me.
My wife's computer with 7600 RTM 64-bit installed is experiencing about daily BSOD errors. She had similar problems under XP 32-bit as well and I tried replacing various components and drivers to see if I could resolve the problem. Nothing seemed to help. The problem might be resolved for a while, but eventually always came back regardless of what I tried to do.
Restarting the computer Windows presents a "recovered from serious error" dialog and displays an error message. The message we typically get is similar to:
I am trying to use The virtual xp on windows 7. I have installed the Epson 7600 which does not work on windows 7. It installs fine but will not print. I am using usb0001 virtual printer to usb. The software is for the 32 bit version of epson 7600. Is there any hope for getting this to work? I Keep getting this document failed to print.
I installed Windows 7 on my desktop 2 days back and came across a problem. As soon as the installation rebooted the machine, I got a black screen with mouse cursor and it stayed like that for hours. Initially I thought that there could be some problem in the installation and so I formatted my disks again and reinstalled the OS. This time too I faced same problem.
I looked through some of the forums and people spoke about taking out all the on-board cards and then installing Windows 7. I started by taking my graphics card off, Nvidia 7600 GS AGP -> PNY make, and as soon as I took it out to use my onboard graphics Windows booted properly.
Just to try again, I re-connected my graphics card and tried booting the machine which made it crash. For next few restarts it did not boot, even when I removed the gfx card. Finally, I had to use my Win 7 DVD and repair the installation. System started working again but without my GFX card.
I tried looking through several forums for this problem but did not find any solution. Can somebody tell me how do I reslove this?
I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit on a HP Pavilion Laptop model dv9292eu by backing up my work and formatting the HDD. The issue I am having is that I cannot seem to get the Nvidia Graphics driver to work. I downloaded the most recent driver for the Nvidia Geforce Go 7600 from Nvidia site and I get the blue screen so I have now uninstalled the driver and gone back to standard VGA.I have also searched this forum and I came across the following thread which assisted me in the past with a Sony Vaio laptp.
For those of you running Windows 7 either 32-bit or 64-bit on an HP Touchsmart IQ775 with a GeForce Go 7600, please visit tweakforce.com - Downloads for the correct driver update.
I had an issue with an outdated driver. When Windows Update had their most up-to-date drivers installed, it installed an older version instead of the latest one.
This cleared up all of my problems and I'm sure it will help you with yours.
Just as a precaution, I'd check to see if you have this folder before updating though (just incase!)
C: Vidia ForcewareXTreme-G 175.63 Mobile Vista 32bit
OR (depending on your bit)
C: Vidia ForcewareXTreme-G 175.63 Mobile Vista 64bit
after installing the update you should then have...
C: Vidia ForcewareXTreme-G 190.62m Vista Win 7 32bit
OR (depending on your bit)
C: Vidia ForcewareXTreme-G 190.62m Vista Win 7 64bit
My company bought about 15 pieces of desktop pc from dell.I created an Windows 7 image using Dell pre-installed Win7.I have used this image to clone 14 pieces of the dektops and there was no issue. However, the last one I encountered "Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine" when I powered on the machine. I don't even have any chance to login to windows to activate it by using its OEM Product Key. Please the screenshot as attached.
I just finished building my new PC and have an odd question. I installed Windows 7 64bit Home Premium and the system boots just fine. However, when I click on "Computer" in the start menu, W7 is only seeing my SSD and not my HDD.When I started installing W7, I was asked by the installation program on which drive I would like to install. I chose my SSD. Installation went smoothly yet it does not see that 2nd HDD. Interestingly, when I click on device manager, the 2nd HDD is listed and appears to be "working properly".
Both the drives are connected via SATA cables. The SSD is in a 3gb/s "SATA 0" slot, the HDD is in "SATA 1" and the optical drive is in "SATA 2".Within the BIOS, under "Configuration" --> SATA drive:
Chipset SATA is enabled Chipset SATA mode is AHCI SATA ports 0 / 1 / 2 not installed (?) SATA port 3 - optical drive SATA port 4 Samsung HDD SATA port 5 SSD
No SATA Hot Plug Capability is enabled. The Secondary SATA is enabled in IDE mode. What am I missing here? Do I have something plugged into the wrong SATA port? Why would it be seen in device manager and in the BIOS yet not seen when I look at "My Computer"?
This is my first build and with the process of part shopping figuring out what I wanted I never though of the OS. I have a PC with a 500gb hard drive running windows but when I bought this PC I didn't get a disk. Is there any way to copy windows to my new 1tb hard drive. If not is there a way to take my current 500gb out and put it in my new PC then somehow transfer windows to the 1tb hard drive. I have always got prebuilt computers so I have never had to worry about an OS and I guess I made a big rookie mistake not leaving any room in my budget for a $100+ OS..Whoops AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP 120mm Case Fan 4 in 1 pack BIOSTAR TA990FXE AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS SAMSUNG DVD Burner SATA Model SH-224BB - OEM PowerColor PCS+ AX7870 2GBD5-2DHPPV3E Radeon HD 7870 MYST.
