Windows 7 Build 7600 - Copy Not Genuine

All of a sudden I have this message in the corner of my screen- Windows 7 Build 7600- This copy of Windows is not genuine. The last thing I changed in my system was adding an SSD which was about 3 months ago now, and haven't had any problems. It is on Windows 7 Ultimate and I have had it installed for nearly 2 years now(jan 2011).

I built my own computer, used the 7 Beta version until I bought my own Ultimate version. Have been running that since it first came out and earlier this week, this error popped up. Ran a bunch of scans with no fixes. I also tried a system restore, but it wouldn't let me.

I started the computer today and after logging in, the desktop turned to a black screen, with 'Build 7600-This copy of windows is not genuine'.No start button or anything.I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del and started cmd, as that was the only thing that worked. Then I noticed, that instead of the usual "C:User" prompt, it instead read "C:found.000dir0001.chksystem32>"I tried running the registry editor, but that would not start.The installation disk does not work either.

So I buy a brand new laptop for almost a year ago. It has been working fine but a few days ago I saw a message on a desktop saying: this copy of windows is not genuine build 7601. I tried to reactivate windows with original key witch I found on coa sticker but a message appeared: the following failure occurred while trying to use the product key. In the message is a code: 0x80070003 and description the system cannot find the path specified. Also the code: 80070003 appears when I try to update my windows.

A gaming rig I built up last year just popped up with this little error a couple days ago. After a little googling about it I was brought here, and it seems I'm far from the only one with this issue. Going to the microsoft website to validate states that the key for my product is in use or has been locked.

This message started appearing suddenly after using this computer for nearly 2 years. It was purchased 2nd hand with Windows 7 Ultimate already installed and did not come with any discs or paperwork. I'm not sure how to run a diagnostic to obtain the kind of reports that I have seen on the forums.

I turned on my computer this morning and an occasional CHKDSK (happens maybe once a month, might have a damaged hard drive) started performing before the startup screen, deleting files and recovery.When that finished, it took ten minutes to load up the desktop and the messages "Windows 7 Build 7601 Copy of windows not genuine" shows at the bottom right of my desktop with a black background. Also, I opened Firefox and it was missing a file, "nspr4.dll", might be due to the CHKDSK deleting a false corrupt file (which it does a lot), but Firefox works now.I have searched for a solution like right clicking properties on my computer and then going to windows activation, but it says, "Not available". I've seen people posting their diagnostic report, but I do not know how to check that.

I'm installing Windows 7 Beta x64 Build 7600 with a 4.7GB DVD but once it gets to the 'finishing installation' part it seemingly reboots (I think?) to continue with the install but the thing is at this point in time for me the screen goes blank and all I see is the cursor which I can move around. If I power it off and then turn it back on the loading screen comes up but when I get to the log on screen the same thing happens again.
The exact same thing happens to me with Vista. I installed it like three times (the difference is on Vista it gets past the install but still won't get past the logon screen so I can never shut down, restarting is fine though for some reason) and I'm being forced to roll back to 64-bit XP which to be honest I really don't want. So far I've detected that it's not the DVDs. It might be the RAM but I replaced both temporarily and that didn't work either.

After reinstalling windows 7 via the partition in my notebook a few months back, this problem has occurred. "Windows 7, Build 7601, This copy of windows is not genuine". This has actually happened twice now, the first time I was able to fix it by updating the clock as it was out by about a year. But now it's returned about a month later and I can't seem to find a fix. I'll be surprised if windows is not genuine as it's OEM with the Microsoft sticker on the bottom of the case and bought from a big store.

I'm having issues with activating my Windows 7 product key. My desktop background has gone black with a small note at the right bottom corner with the message:
Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine.
I own a 3 year old Toshiba laptop (running Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit), the OEM product key sticker on my laptop has worn out, I used a key finder to find my product key. While trying to activate, I keep getting Error 0X8007232B DNS name does not exist. I did try going through the resolution steps here "Stop error code 0x8007232b" or "Stop error code 0x8007007B" when you try to activate Windows without any avail.

There is something wrong with my laptop. My mother received this computer from her government job, and they allowed her to keep it if she fixed it up. She did so and then gave it to me. I've had it a little over a year and now all of a sudden I can't update anything, I can't activate it, everything I do tells me that Windows is not genuine and needs to be activated... saddest part is I'm not sure if she used a "genuine" copy when she restored it.
