Two of the office computers are running outlook 2003 and can not accept the invitation to share her calendar. Feb 3, 2011There are strange icons when I am in Windows 7 with Office 2007. I first noticed this when I needed to do a project. Because of the lack of new software, I had to save the file in the doc file format. Then, when I tried to open it to edit it, I noticed that the file icon was not right. It was the blank file icon with the Word 2007 icon on it. Then, I noticed that the rtf files have the correct file icon for doc files. The files can still open, but the wrong icon drives me nuts!

Nov 24, 2011I am trying to get way from the nightmare of Windows Live Mail 2011, mostly due to two bugs that are still in the latest version of the program.
I'm trying to migrate from WLM2011 to Outlook 2003 and I have run into a brick wall on importing my email accounts. Microsoft has extensive help pages on migrating TO Windows Live Mail, but apparently they do't think anyone would ever want to go FROM Windows Live Mail.
There is a good article at Migrate from Outlook Express or Windows (Live) Mail to Outlook | HowTo-Outlook which covers migrating the messages and contacts, but no one seems to have found any way to get your account data from WLM into Outlook. WLM will export the account data as iaf files (just like Outlook Express did) but Outlook doesn't recognize the iaf files.
I found a couple of old Outlook help pages that talk about importing IAF files, but the procedure shown does not work because Outlook doesn't ever give you any chance to tell it where to look for the IAF files, it just says "No internet accounts were found to import"
Weird Font On All Browsers But Can't Reset Windows 7 Default Font?
Oct 5, 2011I suddenly started seeing this ugly font (see images below) on many webpages.I think this issue began right around the time I installed some other fonts, but I am not sure. Initially, I figured it was a Chrome thing but have since confirmed the issue extends to IE and Firefox, leading me to believe this is a Windows issue. By the time I tried to revert the changes via System Restore, it was too late (restore only went back a few days; maybe I need to adjust settings there?).I tried to reset the default font but Windows does not seem to respond to that. When I click "Restore to default font settings" the button greys out but nothing else happens. No dialog box and no change in the issue.

Old files (transferred from old computer) and New Documents created on new computer using Word fail to open immediately and require User Account action from winword.exe every time I try to open any document (several steps). Any way to resolve this short of buying Office 2010?

Dec 27, 2011I used outlook 2007 for years on XP with same account settings and no issues. I got a new pc with windows 7 and now it is constantly stops working. I have 8 IMAP accounts, and it is always a different one that causes it. For instance, 1 day i can look at 7 account, but as soon as i look at an 8th outlook stops working. The only way to fix it is remove the account and reconfigure it all over again. then a day or two later a different account will start doing the same thing. So basically, i am having to re configure my accounts every couple of days.

I have now installed outlook 2007 which is give me hell lot of problems. Since last week it stating working slow but now it does not open. At the same time I was cleaning games and apps I was not using. As I was browsing trough the list of apps i noticed that the pop up box of Skype (when someone signs in) has bold font. I clicked and opened Skype to discover that the font there is bold as well. Then I saw it on Facebook actually every web page has a bold font now.. Some other apps i use (Hamachi, Antispy, etc..) show up the same way.I want to say again that my dialog boxes, system windows and desktop icons are fine like they were. Increasing Font/Point Size In Windows 7?
Aug 9, 2011I've found that since recently starting with Win7 the font/point size in nearly every program I use is 'thin' or 'weak'. Even Firefox. It's all very pretty and neat and I can see it alright, but I'd like to be able to change it to suit me. No problem doing this in Word etc.I'm using a full-HD TV/monitor at full resolution. All I can see to do is change 'display image'. I note this can range from the default 125%>150>200.However, this brings up a window pointing out there may be problems encountered doing this.All I really want to do is change the font to [b]BOLD[/b] as I've just done! Is that so difficult?I'm assuming that all the other programs are taking their cue from font settings within Win7. As a Win7 newbie, am I right in thinking this and is there any way I can easily change to the bold font I'd prefer? Or am I missing something basic here?

May 3, 2012I am trying to install 32 barcode fonts (type .ttf) using a batch file. Everything that I have read says that you should just be able to copy the font to C:windowsfonts and then add the appropriate value to the registry at HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFonts. My batch file does both of these things, however the fonts still do not show up in the font manager (or applications). They do show up if I browse to the fonts folder using cmd so I know they are where they should be. Is there something that I am missing here? These fonts need to be installed on every computer at my company so manually installing them isn't really an option.
