View 8 Replies View RelatedI used outlook 2007 for years on XP with same account settings and no issues. I got a new pc with windows 7 and now it is constantly stops working. I have 8 IMAP accounts, and it is always a different one that causes it. For instance, 1 day i can look at 7 account, but as soon as i look at an 8th outlook stops working. The only way to fix it is remove the account and reconfigure it all over again. then a day or two later a different account will start doing the same thing. So basically, i am having to re configure my accounts every couple of days.

I have an Excel spreadsheet that tracks document reviews. One form of evidence that a document has been reviewed is an e-mail from the reviewer (eg, "I've reviewed it and told John to make corrections as per the attached").
Aside from printing the mail to a pdf and saving it somewhere (which could involve printing each mail and attachment separately, then linking them together somehow), is there any way the mail itself can be saved in such a manner as clicking the link will open up the mail and all its attachments?
outlook 2007 which is installed on my computer on operating syste windows 7. I was using outlook 2003 which never gave any problem. I have now installed outlook 2007 which is give me hell lot of problems. Since last week it stating working slow but now it does not open. The problem goes like this - last week my cousin pressed restart button when my outlook was still open. From that day it was working slow and now it does not open. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having a number of apparently unconnected Microsoft Office 2007 problems recently (running on a Windows 7 Home 64 bit system). I will post these separately over the next few days. The first is a real puzzle. After I boot up my system and start Outlook, I hit the send/receive button and will sometime get a box with a message "Outlook has stopped working" after which I close Outlook, restart it and everything seems to work ok. This only seems to happen the first time I try to seed/receive email each morning. In the event Viewer I have noticed the following errors showing up regularly (every day):- Failed to get the Crawl Scope Manager with error=0x80070002. View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new laptop with Windows7 64bit installed-my first exposure to Windows7. I had Office 2007 installed on my old Dell 32 bit machine. I had also recently pruchased Office 2010 and installed that on my new machine. Now, when I try to open those 32bit 2007 files with 64bt 2011, Iget an error message that "no picture file is available", or words to that effect. When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. When I try to browse to the proper office program(Excel, for example), there are none of teh Office suite programs displayed, only "Microsoft Office".I can navigate seperately to the proper progran, Excel, etc., and drag the file into the application, and it opens, and all seems to work OK. I "save as" the proper application file, but it still will not open with double-click on the file name.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to move one pst file from one laptop which has Outlook 2010 32 bit to another laptop which has Outlook 2010 64 bit installed, steps taken 1) Copied the pst file from the User/AppData/Microsoft/Outlook folder to usb. 2) Pasted the file from usb into User/Documents folder. 3) Tried to open the file in Outlook and I get the error that Outlook encountered errors while opening the file. Now how is that possible when the file is working perfectly in one laptop but when I copy and paste it into another it gets corrupted? Is it due to 32 bit to 64 bit outlook? I tried to repair it using scanpst and it brought back few mails?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI do not have the new laptop on, it is an expensive paper weight at the moment. None of my XP software works. I loaded MS XP Mode, I was able to load Office 2000, neither Outlook or outlook express work and I dispise MS Mail and all web based mail. None of my CAD programs worked in XP mode. Note: Acer does not have the hardware support. I removed MS XP Mode. Loaded VMware Player with XP Pro,loaded all my programs, copied my old HDD to new files in virtual machine. Setup Office 2000 Outlook and outlook express work perfect as does all office 2000. Cad programs work (or so I thought) I wasted 3 hours designing a generator room in one of my cad programs and all was well till I tried to create a new file on the virtual drive and was unable to. Tried to save my drawing to any file, was not allowed.
Spent the rest of the day re-drawing the generator room on old laptop. Tried all of the things on setting up networking the drives and folders, was still unable to create new file folders or save any new cad files. There is nothing wrong with this old laptop, it is just 6 years old and found a great deal on the Acer. Tried to load XP on a new HDD, that failed (somewhat) after loading and looking at the properties, many drivers were not working. It seems all MFG's are looking to MS to develop their drivers. What else can I try to get XP Mode to work like XPI can not afford to upgrade all my programs and with that, none of my old files would be usable.I use several cad programs daily at the same time as I work on several projects at the same time, plus I do all my own quotes and PO's and send to vendors, plus receive in everything. I have to be able to create new files and save everything I do where I want toThis is also the first time I have used a new OS so soon. I usually give it a few years.I went from 95 2nd Ed to XP all was smooth. Stayed away from ME and Vista like the plague
When I loaded Office '07 after Windows 7 install, all works fine except when I start Outlook, an error message as follows, pops up:
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window."
Anyone else get this?
Has anyone tried installing office 2000 after windows 7 install followed by office 2007 upgrade? I know there is a compatibility issue with office 2000, but will the upgrade still work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an old XP laptop which I was using Outlook Express for one of my mail accounts (a work account). I also ran regular Outlook for another (personal). I want to have both of these accounts on my new PC.
My new PC is running Windows 7 wiht Office 2007. I used the Windows transfer cable and things worked failry well. My regular Outlook files all came over well, but nothing for Outlook Express.
I really would like to take this time to somehow export my OE files into my Outlook 2007. I would really like to keep the account which imported in on Outlook seperate.
Question 1: Is there a way to import my OE files into Outlook 2007?
Question 2: Is there a way to have two seperate email accounts in Outlook without combining them? Basically I want to have a work email and a personal and keep them seperate.
If I can't have two seperate emails with Outlook, can anyone suggest something which would allow me to export my old Outlook (the old personal emails) into another program so that I can at least use my work email on Outlook 2007?

I am rebuilding my system (Dell vostro 410 desktop) after a hard drive crash and installation of a new hard drive. Did a clean install of windows 7 professional 32 bit. Office 2007 will not fully install, excel and power point install cleanly, word will not install properly. I get a notice that installation was successful but when I attempt to open word the program hangs up at the word logo. I can get out by using task manager. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall using control panel. I have used revo uninstall to try a more complete uninstall. I have tried uninstall on the office installation disc. Nothing works. I suspect a corrupted fragment in registry but do not know how to deal with that. I do not feel comfortable mucking about in registry myself.
