I've loaded the drivers for my Samsung monitor on Windows 7 but am unable to use it. It displays the window icon in extended desktop Notebook to Monitor. However if I change to Monitor the montor goes blank and the notebook displays the window icon.
View 1 RepliesI reinstalled windows 7 64 bit on my Samsung R580 and now a lot of things aren't working. It used to have windows 7 home premium 32 bit on it from the factory. The wifi isn't connecting, the ethernet port doesn't work/ isn't connecting to internet, the hdmi output doesn't work. I used to be able to change the brightness/volume using the FN key and the arrow keys and now that doesn't work. The taskbar used to be see through and now its a solid color and I can't get it to be see through again. I think that's because something with the chipset is wrong or the driver. There used to be a power setting called Samsung optimized and now that's not there either. I don't have any of the backup file/ disks either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am sure that I somehow messed this up big time. The Samsung Netbook is an N145 Plus. It works fine when hooked to the internet via cable. When I first started to hook up wifi I was given options such as who did I want to connect to etc. I think I need to reset the Home group/public places fields and try it again from the start. I'm not looking to use wireless for home at this time. I need to set this up for Public Places connection and tight security for my wife so that she can use this pc while she waits for her clients in court or doctors offices. I have never worked with wireless before and am really lost. I have an Atheros AR9825 adapter with updated software and drivers and an Asus USB N10 wifi antenna with current drivers in place.

From Windows media player I allowed streaming through the network but when I get onto Media Play(TV's Media Player) and choose the video folder for example it says, 'No movie files on current device. Select another category'. Same for Music and Photos.How am I supposed to fix this?
I recently got my laptop screen replaced. Although the integrated webcam is connected as the light comes on and there is an image, it is not clearAs soon as I realised the webcam was not working I took it back to the repair shop and they checked the connections and said everything is fine.The tech support of the company that sold me the screen said to reinstall the screen as maybe the wires are not connected properly. However, the repair shop guy said everything is connected and the webcam itself is connected. He said they can reinstall the screen but if there is nothing wrong on their part (i.e. they have connected it properly) I will have to pay.The repair shop guy said he thinks that the webcam captor got damaged when I broke the screen (sorry if captor is the wrong word, I am currently abroad and the repair shop guy speaks French).Do you have any advice? I do not want to get it reinstalled only to find everything is connected and have to pay again
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased a Samsung T23A750 monitor and to my disappointment when I try to watch a movie the built in speakers are not functioning. I have a Sony Vaio Z216GX connected via HDMI to the monitor (HDMI-DVI) port. I can definitely see the video, but no audio is playing from the speakers. The built in speakers are not at fault- I did a self-diagnosis of the monitor and the speakers seem to work fine. I also set the monitor as the default for the audio and even when Win 7 says its functioning properly, the speakers still don't work. Conversely, setting the default to my PC speakers work fine. I'm sure its not the HDMI cable- I used the same one to hook my pc to my tv with everything working fine.

Could not get the hang of Win 7 so I formatted the 500gb hard drive and installed Win Xp. I will not go through the problems this caused. I tried the flash drive method, DVD's and also the factory recovery disc without any luck. I can get it to boot and pass the Install window, but once it's there, I'm stuck at the part where it ask what disk and partition to install. I've used GregRocker's suggestions to prep the SSD but, still no luck.

My external DVD works fine with the Windows 7 preinstalled in my new laptop. But when I try to re-install the Windows 7... The laptop recognizes well the external DVD The Windows 7 disc boots fine from the external DVD After that, the installation process asks for the external DVD drivers. The same thing happend with an external LG DVD.
