Dec 16, 2009for instance if i open itunes then i open Internet, or any other program with audio, the program opened second will not make sound. i'm using a asus p6t mobo with on board sound running windows 7 64 and running realtek 6.0.1.5969 sound driver. any way to fix this?

Feb 3, 2012how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.

I don't mean browsers and stuff like that, just software that effects performance.So far I've got Catalyst software suit and CAP from url... ready, as well as DX11. HOME VERSION WITH WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 12! Nov 18, 2011I bought an Nvidia 570gtx and I am able to have both audio and sound to play on my TV as a second monitor. However to do this I have to go into windows 7 screen resolution screen and duplicate the displays though ones 1900x1200 and the Tv is 1920x1080 causing the PC screen to look funky but I can live with it to launch the games.I than have to go into the sound properties and set the default for the system to the HDMI cable and I can play my games on the TV like I want. (about 30 feet away)When done I have to come back and undue each setting to get control back to my PC.

Aug 23, 2012I like to play different games, and stream movies or shows at the same time on my TV which is hooked up. I recently upgraded my comp to a full custom build (z77 sabertooth, i5-3570k, 16GB ram, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit) and can't figure out how to set my audio playback devices to play separately. On my previous comp, which had Windows Vista Home Premium, whenever I changed the default playback whatever audio was playing already would stay on the devices it was playing on and whatever new windows I opened would play on the new default device. I've looked and looked but can't find any options similar to this.
How can I set my comp so that I can play one audio through my tv and separate audio through speakers?

Nov 27, 2011ive been using sothink movie dvd maker on windows 7 the video playback on my stand alone dvd player has perfect playback but any time the audio gets to a climax like for a dramatic moment (an explosion for example) the audio crackles. I've tried to slow down the speed of the burn but sothink doesnt have that option i've switched the audio from 5.1 surround to stereo and even tried mono it didnt have any effect.

PC has a 2.2 Gig AMD processor (processor is a 64bit but had glitches when I tried the Windows 7 64bit OS) w/2GB DDR2 Mem. All drivers are the originals from when the PC had Win XP Home on it, except for what ever Windows 7 swapped out on install. WMP12 will only play the supplied demo video and that appears as a duo image in a split screen with playback in black and white. Plays ALL audio fine, even CD's. Will Not play any Video DVD's. Installed Power DVD 11 and same problem. Windows 7 say's something about not enough memory installed and close running programs to free up memory. All programs are closed except WMP12. Have increased page file size to 1024low/8192high and every thing seems to work fine except WMP12 & PowerDVD video

Oct 31, 2012for some reason, my windows 7 is only offering two types of default format for my usb audio device driver; telephone quality and tape recorder quality.
obviously both of these are shockingly bad. the thing that makes it worse is that i have just brought a brand new usb desktop microphone (logitech usb desktop microphone) and windows is only offering the same settings as my old webcam microphone (and it sounds just as bad).
there is one thing i am confused about though: in this video; logitech usb desktop microphone working on windows 7 64bit - Internet
the guy is using windows 7 64-bit (same as me) but he has the option to increase the audio quality to dvd quality. it's the same exact microphone, same windows and appears to be the same driver. i'm running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit so it should include all of the drivers, yes?
logitech doesn't offer any drivers and the guy in the video mysteriously has the same driver but has more options than me. the microphone is just as useless with loud echos and the like as my old webcam microphone.
Recommend New Motherboard, CPU, And RAM?
May 12, 2011My PC is not working It turns on for five seconds, turns off for five seconds, then reboots but the screen displays nothing. I have checked the video card on a different PC, checked the HDDs, and the power supply - those are all working fine.I have assumed that the motherboard or CPU have died and need replacing (is there a way to find out for sure?).My main point for this thread: Could anyone please recommend me a really kickass motherboard, CPU, and RAM? I am also hoping to have one dedicated HDD for Mac OSX , so a processor/motherboard that will be compatible with Windows and Mac would be excellent (is this even possible?)have one HDD dedicated Mac OSX so I can use Final Cut Pro and avoid spending $2000+ on a Mac Pro.

Nov 21, 2012I have been having bad luck with hard drives lately. The original WD drive in my Windows 7 i7 PC died about a month ago as a result of a brief power failure in my area. My local shop installed another WD (500TB) unit which seemed to have issues from the start (failed the WDC test utilities).So I wanted to pulse the community to see what the current story is on HD's and reliability. I have read a number of posts about quality problems with WDC but I used to see lots of posts about problems with Seagate.So what to do? Which brand or model should I be looking at to get a decent drive that won't die in a few months? This is simply for a home office desktop running Office 2010 apps and typical web browsing. I'd spend a little extra for higher reliability. Screaming performance is not really an issue.
