How To Fix BSOD And STOP Code 0x0000001E
Jan 31, 2013My OS is Windows 7 Home Edition 64bit. Recently I'm learning to make videos and my routine is editing the raw file in Windows Movie Maker then adding some effects to it in Adobe After Effects. I've been doing fine for months until suddenly the blue screen appeared. At first the problem only occurred occasionally when I tried to import to or export from WMM. But then it happened more and more often even when I was doing nothing until it reached the point where my computer couldn't even make it to windows anymore. I took my friend's advice and reinstall windows but that didn't fix the problem.

Feb 15, 2012I started off getting the 0x0000007f BSOD and I think it was relating to my graphics card drivers so I reinstalled the drivers, now I've been getting 0x0000001e BSOD and I haven't a clue what the problem is. These seem to happen only once each day and I can't seem to find any relation to what I was doing at the time.

Jul 25, 2012I built a computer about a month ago and ever since the first attempt to install windows it has been giving me blue screens. The computer is working someone fine most of the time now, but still has a daily to twice a day blue screen error. I have done everything that google has said (Memtest, driver updates, HDD diagnostics, BIOS update, check registry, scan for virus, etc.)

Jun 18, 2012I've been having random BSOD crashes for the past week. Also, multiple attempts to fix the BSOD problem by using System Restore has resulted in a BSOD crash.Every BSOD has displayed "STOP: 0x000000F4" To my knowledge, no new hardware has been installed on my computer in several months.

I happens about 95% of the time I start up my computer. The other 5% it starts up normally w/o any problems. I had League of Legends up in the background, and I was surfing on Firefox when my mouse cursor...changed. It looks glitchy, becoming white/multicolored lines and looking fuzzy. Jul 20, 2012I've recently installed a new AMD 8150-FX 8-Core processor (Black Edition)Ever since I replaced my old AMD Phenom II 4X 965 Black Edition, with the above mentioned, I've had blue screens.Now this is only happening when I am playing demanding games such as ARMA2, GTA4, Crysis ect ect ect;I also note that it only seems to be happening when I've got the settings to Ultra or highest settings.Now I know that my PC is more than capable of playing today's best games on Max/ Ultra because I was playing with those settings on my old CPU.I'm sure this has got something to do with the new CPU.Below is a copy of what the 'Event Viewer' is telling me:The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.

BSOD On Opening Almost Every Program - Error 0x0000001E
Jul 30, 2012I've been recently getting the BSOD when I open almost any program, when I try to open it my display stops and I get the BSOD error STOP: 0x0000001E. The latest thing I would have downloaded with suspicion would be a game torrent. I've gotten a BSOD error STOP: 0x00000050 and error STOP: 0x0000001a, but mainly error STOP: 0x0000001E. I'm thinking that my RAM is corrupted, looks like its a memory problem. I'm currently in Safe Mode with Networking. Anyways, sorry for using Winrar, I didn't have 7-ZIP installed.

Nov 16, 2011If the computer is shut down and disconnected from the power supply for about 5 hours or longer I get a bluescreen right after the windows boot screen. Otherwise it starts without problems and works fine. My workaround for the problem after long shut down is to switch on the power supply, then immediately switch it off and then on again. This works always fine!

Apr 10, 2012Had one of the fake viruses on my machine and so I download and ran Malware Bytes it now appears to boot up fine but within a minute or two of being in the Windows screen it goes to a BSOD. I have booted the machine with the MSDART 7 program and have attached the dump file to see what you all think might be going on. not being able to run the utility from this site but it does not give me enough time on boot before it does the BSOD.

But I'm posting here to make sure before I try to RMA something again.While I wait for a reply I will run memtest and a HDD diagnostic.EDIT: Also, I think it's worth noting that motherboard does not seem to be able to provide a steady current to the Vcore. If I set the Vcore to 1.35, it will fluctuate between 1.32-1.35.

Mar 21, 2012I have had a problem with my Gateway NV73 laptop where I would get a BSOD whenever I was viewing video on the internet, viewing pictures in my photo editing program and now after about 5 minutes of just using the internet. The BSOD would come up in a square in the center of the screen and dissappear within seconds. Then the system would still show the power light as on but a blank screen and unresponsive. I would press and hold power button until shutdown and try to restart but only the fan sound was working but nothing else. And after about 30 to 40 minutes later it would boot up just fine, but would then crash after minutes of using it. I tried to get the info needed from the dump files but I literally had to do the whole process stated above many times and I saved the minidump files to my network drive so I could post this on my desktop computer.

Now today, the other crashes started, with the first happening out of nowhere, the second happening upon starting a video game. I've been without crashes for a while now, only having used my browser(Opera) and copying some files to an external hard drive. As well as the SF tool.I only have 2 dump files available. Feb 26, 2012I reformatted my computer multiple times, yet my computer seems to BSOD randomly.What happenes is that everything becomes unresponsive; cant alt+tab, cant ctrl+alt+del etc etc. everything freezes randomly... then boom, BSOD. its happened twice, with no apparent pattern.And then, when it restarts, it tries booting but then it goes into the boot selection screen and my SSD is nowhere to be found. I have to power off then power on again for it to boot up and log in.

Random STOP 0x124 Reboots
Apr 16, 2012Every once in a while, my tablet PC/laptop will either just shut off completely, or will crash with a Stop 0x124 error. It mostly seems to happen when I have Firefox and IE open (I take classes online that require IE, otherwise I would never use it!), and I am using my mouse wheel to scroll a webpage up or down. It doesn't matter if I am scrolling in IE or in FF.
I checked online and from what I can see, this 124 error is pointing to either RAM or the BIOS, but can't determine which. I have 4gb RAM in this machine, and I have swapped it out already, as well as the hard drive. The only difference is that the machine came with Vista on it (from HP), and I put Win7 on it. HP did have drivers for this laptop on Win7, and I have installed all of those with no problems.
I replaced the hard drive about 6 months ago because the machine wouldn't boot up, and when I booted off the Win7 CD and ran chkdsk /r, it found a TON of bad clusters at the beginning of the drive, where I'm guessing the boot sector and boot files/partition would be. So I cloned the drive to the replacement, then ran a "repair" installation on Win7 to make sure none of the files were corrupted. Then I did all of the Windows Updates that I was prompted to install.
Has anyone been able to resolve a Stop 0x124 error, and if so, how?

Nov 11, 2011It seems I've been having random BSOD Stop errors ever since I put my new PC together about a month ago. I'm not sure what's causing it, and it's happened when I've been doing different things, but it almost seems to happen more frequently when I'm listening to Pandora Radio on my web browser (chrome).Switched my BIOS from AHCI to IDE (read on google this fixed some issues). Did not fix the issue.Read the windows website and attempted to get a hotfix for SATA hard drives (something about them not waking up in 10 seconds). STOP & Boot Loop At Random Times
Jan 21, 2012Something similar has happened before (about half a year ago) but it got fixed when I did a system repair through command promt, until these few days...the loop came back again, sometimes it would boot like normal, at times it would get stuck or it'll go into a "checking file system" screen. It first started when I was browsing the web like usual, the comp suddenly froze and popped out a blue screen, it was too quick for me to capture it tho...In the past few days its gotten the BSOD a few times ive managed to take down a couple of the STOP codes 0x0000003D and 0x0000003B, im sure Ive gotten other ones too but i only remembered these 2.I've tried system repair & restore and command prompt but none worked...i have no idea whats wrong (hardware or software?) so im hoping someone can help me find a permanent fix if possible?
I have attached the dumb files through jcgriff2.Im using a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit which my friend installed for me so i could use the 4gb ram i had. It used to be Windows 7 Home Edition 32 bit.My system is about 3-4yrs old now and OS is about 2yrs old i think.
