I have been experiencing random reboots which very often fail and occasional BSOD crashes, the last one refers to memory management. I am running Panda cloud antivirus and malwarebytes.Original OS was preinstalled retail version win xp proff. Current OS full retail version win 7 64bit home premium Hardware new Dec 2006. Dual boot 2 x sata hard drives?
View 5 RepliesRecently I have been getting random BSOD some say Management, other say Non Default, Bad_Pool_Header, maybe some others but the BSOD is to fast for me to read exactly what it says. I been doing my research on how exactly I can even first look at this mini dumps found a program call (BlueScreenView) When look around i can see all id the dumps there but am seeing the the main culprit is a ntoskrnl.exe. Now I am guessing this Because it was shown alot. People have said to run memory checks, your ram sticks are going bad, restore your computer, but honestly I an clueless.
I would like to know
1) What are the step to find the problem
2) How to fix it
3) How to prevent it
I started to get random BSODs, usually after a few hours after turning on my PC. The only major change I made was a firmware upgrade to my Asus P8Z68-V Pro MB to the latest iteration: 3203 released Feb 21/12. Recently my website got hacked via ftp password breach but I ran a full system AV & Malware scan and results were clean.
Windows 7 64-bit (student upgrade version), approx 8 months old.

So I've been having random BSOD's for 10 day's now - They appear at complete random and I can't tell why, Each time they display 'Memory Management' - I can normally diagnose them and narrow it down, However I cannot seem to do so. Can an expert have a look at the dumps and see if they can work it out?

The fans is still running, but can't use the computer and the screen is black.And yesterday I got a BSOD also. Don't know if this Memory Management issue has something to do with my earlier blackouts, but I hope so. So that there is only 1 thing to fix ;-)Yesterday I ran Memtest86+ for 10 passes and 22 hours. And I got zero errors. See picture.

On restart, random issues pop-up e.g. "Windows explorer is not working", "Login services not working (causes me to be logged into a new profile, all settings, icons, wallpaper gone)". i'm having issues with my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit PC. Every so often it will just BSOD on me. I've had a look at the errors and it mentions MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and ntoskrnl.exe, but i don't really know what i'm doing so i figured i'd get some REAL help. I've recently installed new graphic drivers, hoping that might help but it just crashed on me again.Windows was pre installed on the machine and the machine itself is only a year old.

I randomly get the BSOD error 0x0000001a and 0x0000001e and I've tried updating the drivers and still no luck it could be running great for a week or so and then give me the BSOD. After previously solving the BSOD error "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval" by replacing the CPU, I have run into another BSOD. This time the error is "memory management". After doing some research I'm thinking this error is about some program conflicts or something similar (I'm hoping that is the case!), instead of a hardware problem. I have attached the last 3 minidumps I have.

Mine is the B633 Since I bought it, it had had multiple errors, as shown in the attached .zip. I want to know what I need to do to fix these errors.I have ran memtest and let it do 10 passes with 0 errors. I am running driver verifier right now and have had 2 BSOD that I have never seen before, one was Special Pool...? Most of the time it is Memory Management BSOD, however.

This computer is around 3 months old. The first 1 1/2 month, it did not experience this problem. However, from July and onwards, my computer would get BSOD; it would occur at least once a day.
According to BlueScreenView, the driver that is causing BSOD is "ntoskrnl.exe."
i recently made a thread in regards to my blue screens and i will now upload more of the minidumps. they generally occur when i am on chrome and watching a Internet video. i just received one then in regards to memory_management and no reason was shown.

I've been having random BSOD crashes for the past week. Also, multiple attempts to fix the BSOD problem by using System Restore has resulted in a BSOD crash.Every BSOD has displayed "STOP: 0x000000F4" To my knowledge, no new hardware has been installed on my computer in several months.

I've taken this machine to a repair place, but they were unable to recreate the BSOD, but also apparently couldn't review dump files or do any other analysis of the crashes, so my faith is greatly diminished.
Anyway, I've recently done a fresh install of windows, replaced the RAM (currently at 8gb), and updated the ASACPI.sys driver from the 2005 version to the 2009 version. At this point, I have no idea what to do next. I think there is a bios setting throwing everything out of whack, but I honestly don't know enough about bios to feel comfortable poking around in there.
System basics:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Custom built system with Windows 7 being the only OS ever installed on the system. Full retail version.
The system is about 1 year old and I reinstalled Windows last week (Monday, 11/21 ). No blue screens until the 26th. There've been 5 so far.
Attached is the BSOD file and the perfmon.html report as requested.
Something similar has happened before (about half a year ago) but it got fixed when I did a system repair through command promt, until these few days...the loop came back again, sometimes it would boot like normal, at times it would get stuck or it'll go into a "checking file system" screen. It first started when I was browsing the web like usual, the comp suddenly froze and popped out a blue screen, it was too quick for me to capture it tho...In the past few days its gotten the BSOD a few times ive managed to take down a couple of the STOP codes 0x0000003D and 0x0000003B, im sure Ive gotten other ones too but i only remembered these 2.I've tried system repair & restore and command prompt but none worked...i have no idea whats wrong (hardware or software?) so im hoping someone can help me find a permanent fix if possible?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI assembled a PC a year ago based around the Asus M4A87TDUSB3.0, with it was bundled a Phenon II X6 1090T and 2 x 2 GB fast DDR3. I have a 750W PSU, running a Radeon HD5570. I have a dual boot config, with Windows 7 64bit as default but also XP as other OS because there are some old games I really like that only work in XP (I tried emulation but software rendering isn't up to it). 90% of the time I'm in Windows 7. I've set up the system to that the Windows 7 partition isn't visible to XP, so that my Windows 7 restore points don't get wiped out when I boot into XP.Anyway, to cut a long story short, system has been working well, reliable and without issues for the last 10 months. However, a couple of months ago I decided to install a second drive of the same size but faster. I migrated the entire contents from the old drive to the new faster one without problems. I then reformatted the old drive and made it a dedicated backup drive for Genie Timeline. All worked well.
A couple of weeks later, I decided to upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 16GB and used Crucial's system scanner to find suitable upgrade. I took out the old modules, installed the 16GB new ones as a complete kit (with same latencies etc). First boot didn't seem to go well, system hanged before Windows Logo. I rebooted, went into BIOS and set the memory timings to Auto and set up Memory Counter to show on screen. I rebooted and it showed 16GB and it then booted into Windows normally. All fine, I did a Windows system rating and got 7.4's and 7.5's on everything apart from the HDD which comes in at 5.9Problem is, I now randomly get slow boots. It probably happens once in about 5 times, the entire boot sequence will take around 14 minutes whereas normally things are fine after about 3 minutes. I've pared down startup programs in MSconfig to really just the stuff I need to get by, so I know it's not that. If I shut down and restart, the chances are it boots fine again. It's not Windows Updates causing this, I can see those when that happens. I've taken out the memory modules and have cleaned the contacts with Servisol, unplugged and plugged the HDD connections back in. For a few days, the problem seemed to go away but it then came back.
When it's in its slow mode, everything is a bit sluggish, it's almost like I would imagine it would be with a minimum amount of memory or if it was running some heavy process in the background. I also notice when it's like this, that rather than the drive light being solidly on when booting, it's more of a fast flicker, with periods of inactivity lasting a few seconds.I'm not a technical expert, my guess is that it's either the hard drive or the memory. However, I'm also wondering if there is something in the BIOS that I need to do. Also, I've noticed that when shutting down, sometimes it doesn't quite feel like it's shutting down right, by this I mean that usually, in the last second before power off, the chassis fan runs to max as FanXpert hands control of the fans back to BIOS I guess
i brought my new computer 4 weeks ago.First it is totally fine, but then 1 week ago, it started BSOD when i play diablo3. This is a new computer build that I finished a few days ago. I've updated the BIOS, set up a RAID 1 configuration through Intel Rapid Storage Technology/through the BIOS. I installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and have begun to migrate my programs and data over from my previous machine. This process has been paused because I am experiencing BSOD. There are two which have occurred:

I ran a Windows Memory Diagnostic test overnight - no problems were found. I've updated all my drivers. I have followed the BSOD posting instructions and SF Diag Tool instructions, and also googled effortlessly regarding these Stop codes.
Firstly, my apologies that I am making a thread as a first post, I hate to do it but am pulling my hair out at the moment.After reading through the BSOD posting instructions I have a small issue. As I cannot get further than just before the windows logo appears due to this BSOD, I cannot (that I know of) post a crash dump of the issue.I am currently attempting to build a crash repair DVD from my laptop, but am also looking at using the USB method.

I've been using it for about a year.Since it's a work machine, in the last few weeks, I've been using VMware on it to use other experimental software, with no problems.Today, I tried to create a new VM and the software asked me to update it to a new version. I did it, create new VM and rebooted to change a config in the Bios (about virtualization). But when I tried to boot again, surprise: BSOD.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing BSOD at random times. This is frustrating because I am pretty sure I eliminated all the possible reasons for my computer to Blue Screen. I changed my motherboard, I scanned my hard drive, got all the drivers for my video cards, etc. I also checked my ram one by one.

This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. Also when it Blue Screens I was able to get a copy of what the Technical information that caused the blue screen.

I have been having random crashes after setting up a new computer. At first the computer crashed when an external hdd was connected to the pc, but now it happens at random. When the computer restarts I get this error: chainloader/Bootmgr - error 15: file not found and my hdd is missing in bios. Also i have seen this error at startup: The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking, but i haven�t done any overclocking. To make matters worse my net browser sometimes crashes and i get this message: Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was recovered.
I have windows 7 x64 OEM OS installation is two months old and i haven�t reinstalled Hardware is brand new.
Every now and then, my computer BSODs, then restarts, but then it cannot boot into the drive that windows is installed in. It says that there is a broken windows installation and that I should use the Windows install disk to repair it. Thing is, I don't have a windows install disk because I'm using an .iso provided by my school.Anyway, after waiting some time or unplugging/plugging back the hard drive, it randomly successfully boots into windows again. I can't think of any reason why this would be...is this a software or hardware problem?My setup is Windows 7 on an SSD and Ubuntu on a standard hard disk, with Grub as my boot loader.I also looked in minidumps and there aren't any crash logs from when my computer BSOD'd, which is even weirder.
