i recently made a thread in regards to my blue screens and i will now upload more of the minidumps. they generally occur when i am on chrome and watching a Internet video. i just received one then in regards to memory_management and no reason was shown.

I've been getting the BSOD "Page fault in non paged area" a few times every day on my laptop and I don't have a clue why. I've had this laptop for around a year, and it has only just happened once I've got to university. I haven't changed any hardware or installed any new software recently and the only thing I can think of that has changed is that I am using my accommodation's wired internet - but I don't know whether that could cause this or not.

when i installed windows 7 32-bit everything worked fine for 2-3 days then i started getting bsod's, then installed windows 7 64-bit and after 3 days again bsod, when i start the pc. after loging in bsod appears, and pc restarts after that everything works fine.... i also did run a memtest for 11hrs not a single error found.
lately i have been getting quite a number of BSODs, even though there were no hardware changes.
error code : 0x00000050
according to the bluescreenviewer, it was caused by ntoskrnl.exe & ntfs.sys took out my rams, cleaned the 'golden' area. makes no difference

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a computer as described in my profile and ive had it for about a year now. about 6 months ago i occasionally got BSOD and ignored it Then i upgraded the ram to 16gb (was origionally 6gb) and it was great (ran so smooth) but recently ive been getting this BSOD more and more frequent and now the pc is quite unuseable.
i searched up online and found that it could be software, ram or hardrive most probably so first i tried a factory restore and still got bsod and freezes then i tried factory restore once more... no luck then i downloaded a home premium iso installed that and it appeared to be working then that started doing it.
next i tried Ram first i downgraded it to 8gb then swapped it back to the 6gb it came with none of this helped
now i think it must be the harddrive or something wrong with the motherboard. since i cant use it atm im quite ****** off (Ps:the blue screen error message is "Page fault in non paged area" every time)
I constantly bsod on reboot. Yesterday I took out my graphics card because i was selling it in an old computer. It was a ati 4770. I threw in an old xfx 8500 gt because my motherboard doesnt have an internal gfx. It ran for about an hour or so and then i started getting this BSOD. Not thinking I assummed it had something to do with the old card going bad. Today i went and bought a new one to through in and I am still receiveing the same issue.
View 1 Replies View Relatedlast night before I shut my pc down I was fiddling with windows updates. all I did was make sure that it was set to not install anything automatically and ask me before it does anything. Then oddly enough when I shut down it said it was installing windows updates yet I did not see any updates ready to install before I shut down so I was very confused. I let it do its thing and then it finally shut down. Now when I start the pc today I get a blue screen of death that says pagefault_in_non_paged_area when Windows was finalizing the update install..it rebooted again, tried once more to finalize updates and got another bsod. I rebooted into safe mode at next reboot and it said it was uninstalling the updates because windows failed to load. It restarted normally and it said it was uninstalling and then bsod again. This time when I started up the system repair option came on. I let it do its thing but the issue couldnt be auto fixed it said. I clicked the details and there was signature 07 saying BadDriver. The details are sketchy from here because im having a hard time remembering them, but it let me go into system recovery so i chose to roll back to the time where it showed there was a windows update installed at like 1AM(there was not however, i have no clue why it said this). It wasnt able to roll back to that point and let me choose another. I instead chose to run the memory diagnostics. Windows rebooted and stuck on my bios splash screen. i restarted and it stuck once again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWas playing New Vegas earlier today and suddenly got a BSOD. Error type was Page Fault in Non-Paged Area. My general approach is to just leave the machine off for an hour or so after a BSOD. Booted it up again a short while ago and was pleased to see Windows load and give me a login prompt. Logged in, everything seems fine so I close the "Windows has a recovered from..." message.
I try to launch a program and it immediately tells me, "X has stopped working". Hmmmm. Try again, same result. Try a different program, same result. The following things do work: Notepad, Windows Explorer, Device Manager, Disk Management, command prompt. Windows Media Player Classic works until I ask it to actually play something. Everything else gives me the "X has stopped working" almost as soon as I launch it, including DXDIAG and right-clicking on My Computer and picking Properties.
Since Disk Management worked I went ahead and ran the error checker on both my drives, they both came back clean.
I noticed that all the "X has stopped working" messages gave essentially the same details (parts that are different each time are in italics):

Since they were all complaining about rpcrt4.dll, I grabbed my laptop and downloaded a fresh copy of that dll from dll-files.com. I changed the name of the old one to "rpcrt4 old.dll" and dropped in the new one. Problem persisted, so I used command prompt to run regsvr32 rpcrt4.dll and got an error message saying, "The module rpcrt4.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070006."
Checked the BSOD sticky in the BSOD subforum here, the article there says "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" indicates (their words) "Faulty hardware, including RAM (system, video, or L2 cache)".
How would I go about identifying which piece of hardware has failed?

So I bought a brand new computer, everything is new. Clean Windows 7 64bit installation and all, but recently I started getting this Bluescreen, from what I would say out of nowhere as my computer ran just fine for a month. I have tried to remove memory sticks, Harddrives, CD-ROM. I also bought a brand new harddrive for a different problem (Which I solved) a week ago, so all hardware is only 1 month old. I ran CHKDSK, found no problems, checked memory timings (Somewhat, I'm not really a brainiac when it comes to doing tests and looking at numbers) and ran a memory test which found no problems with my current memory stick.My bluescreens occurr kinda random, 5-15 minutes apart, so I can start the computer just fine, everything works like it should but then all of a sudden BSOD with the messege "Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area". Never seen that one before and I've tried a lot, just now I uninstalled daemon tools, but when i started up again it BSOD 5 mins in. Now on the other hand, I've managed to keep the computer running for maybe 30 minutes without any problem.

After previously solving the BSOD error "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval" by replacing the CPU, I have run into another BSOD. This time the error is "memory management". After doing some research I'm thinking this error is about some program conflicts or something similar (I'm hoping that is the case!), instead of a hardware problem. The only major change I made was a firmware upgrade to my Asus P8Z68-V Pro MB to the latest iteration: 3203 released Feb 21/12. This computer is around 3 months old. The first 1 1/2 month, it did not experience this problem. However, from July and onwards, my computer would get BSOD; it would occur at least once a day.
According to BlueScreenView, the driver that is causing BSOD is "ntoskrnl.exe."
So I've been having random BSOD's for 10 day's now - They appear at complete random and I can't tell why, Each time they display 'Memory Management' - I can normally diagnose them and narrow it down, However I cannot seem to do so. Can an expert have a look at the dumps and see if they can work it out?
View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently I have been getting random BSOD some say Management, other say Non Default, Bad_Pool_Header, maybe some others but the BSOD is to fast for me to read exactly what it says. I been doing my research on how exactly I can even first look at this mini dumps found a program call (BlueScreenView) When look around i can see all id the dumps there but am seeing the the main culprit is a ntoskrnl.exe. Now I am guessing this Because it was shown alot. People have said to run memory checks, your ram sticks are going bad, restore your computer, but honestly I an clueless.

My friend has a lenovo thinkpad type 0578 with windows 7. He has been getting the page in non paged area blue screen of death. He tried doing a system restore, memory test, booting with last known good configuration, safe mode, etc. Now he is unable to open windows what-so-ever. In my limited research, I have found that it could possibly be a hardware issue with RAM. I am wondering if there is anything we can do to save the computer or get it running again or what to do at this point.

However after about a week of usage with no errors all of a sudden I have started getting the odd BSOD, and today I have had about 20, even in safe mode.
Suddenly my computer could just black out, looks like it is turning itself off, but not completely. The fans is still running, but can't use the computer and the screen is black.And yesterday I got a BSOD also. Don't know if this Memory Management issue has something to do with my earlier blackouts, but I hope so. So that there is only 1 thing to fix ;-)Yesterday I ran Memtest86+ for 10 passes and 22 hours. This error started when I was gaming i dunno how to post batch reports but I ran memtest86+ and found 1 of my 2gig sticks was faulty and i pulled it. I thought this would solve the prob but... I also ran dskchk and it fixed a few threads. I can get online and watch shows or movies but I can't play my favorite games. Also sometimes my ssd won't recognise in the system.
Acer Aspire 4740G. 2 years old. Last 1-2 weeks constant BSOD as per title, and random freezing up, forcing restart. On restart, random issues pop-up e.g. "Windows explorer is not working", "Login services not working (causes me to be logged into a new profile, all settings, icons, wallpaper gone)". i'm having issues with my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit PC. Every so often it will just BSOD on me. I've had a look at the errors and it mentions MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and ntoskrnl.exe, but i don't really know what i'm doing so i figured i'd get some REAL help. I've recently installed new graphic drivers, hoping that might help but it just crashed on me again.Windows was pre installed on the machine and the machine itself is only a year old.

According to the FAQ on steam this is caused by a lack of paged pool memory which is reserved for apps like direct3d.
To get round this issue its recommended that you remove a line form the boot.ini which unlocks the page pool memory. The line is /3GB /Userva=2900
Does anyone know where this line is in windows 7 or how I can unlock the paged pool memory as I'm finding the crashes are starting to interfere with my enjoyment of gaming.
