Permanently Disable Driver Signing Enforcement In 64bit
Aug 21, 2009-F8 on reboot only does it for the session.
-"/bcdedit -set loadoptions ”DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" does not work.
-GpEdit.msc editting does not work.
Can this be done?

Disable Driver Signature Enforcement At Every Start Up In Order For Headset To Work
Apr 4, 2012So recently last day or so something changed and now i have to disable driver signature enforcement at every start up in order for my headset to work. It was working fine before. I unplugged it when useing it on another computer. then plugged it back into this one and it tells me the driver is not valid. i have removed said software and disconnected headset and reinstalled and no change.

May 24, 2011I need to disable driver signing on win 7 ultimate. The easiest way to do this I am told is push f8 on startup and disable from that menu. This doesn't work for me. During startup, I've tried pressing f8, holding f8, pressing f8 really fast, at any and all times, I was restarting my comp for like a half hour straight. Yes I am pushing it before windows loads. I have also tried opening cmd.exe in admin, and tried to turn on test mode or test signing.
(bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON)
This also does nothing. When I restart there is no watermark that says test mode and I cannot run an unsigned driver. I have also tried to run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider 1.3b. I am aware of the risks of disabling driver signature enforcement so don't bother.

0xffffffff will disable ipv6, but listening port still bind to ipv6.
for example, i still can ping ::1 even though that above registry editing should "disable the ipv6". and when i do netstat -an | find "LISTEN", some ports still bind to ipv6, for example:
TCP [::]:80 [::]:0 LISTENING
TCP [::]:135 [::]:0 LISTENING
TCP [::]:443 [::]:0 LISTENING
TCP [::]:445 [::]:0 LISTENING
and so on. anyone have solution to permanently disabling ipv6? the reason why i want to rid of ipv6 listening is because it cause conflicting to my router when want to do port forwarding. i don't have any problem to port forward to other machine installing windows xp/2003. tq.
Disable Test Mode Watermark But Keep Test Signing Enabled?
Mar 10, 2011I've been using my Ps3 controller as an alternative to an Xbox 360 controller on my PC (to play games with a gamepad) but in order to use my Ps3 controller as a makeshift 360 controller, I need test signing enabled.
Unfortunately with test signing enabled I get a big ugly watermark at the bottom right of my screen, as far as I know the only way to disable this is to disable test signing, otherwise it just won't leave! Is there any way I can get past this and somehow keep driver test signing enabled but get rid of that horrid watermark ruining my gorgeous wallpaper?

Start up repair of course never works so i can't start windows normally.I noticed though that if I disabled driver signature enforcement, then my computer can get to the login screen. I thought this had solved my problem but after logging in this way, I get a fake antivirus coming up, then shortly after a BSOD.What I did on previous computers when something like this happened is go into safe mode, but like normal startup it cannot load and instead goes to startup repair.when I get to advanced startup options, only one or the other (Disable Driver Signature Enforcement, or safe mode) can be picked.How do I use both of these options simultaneously?

Driver Signing
Sep 28, 2009I there a way to stop driver signing completely instead of having to disable it at boot with the F8 key I have tried several suggestions of cmd prompt commands but nothing has worked. I have a Twinhan TV Card the vista drivers work fine but are not signed. Please advise as I feel that we should be able to use drivers even if they are not signed its not our fault if the hardware manufacturer didn't pay for driver signing.

But there are just a few .drv and .sys files that I can't open. I placed them in windows/system32/drivers which didn't help. In the manual it says:
1. For XP(no guide for Vista/7) go to control panel->system->hardware and click driver signing button. Click the ignore button on the dialog box, then click ok.
2. Place the CD-ROM
3. Connect the instrument to the computer and turn it on.
4. This displays found new hardware wizard. Select install the software automatically. (recommended)
So I looked for the driver signing button all over the control panel to no avail. Does it even exist in windows 7?

Feb 24, 2009Well I'm thinking to make Win Seven my primary OS on my system by today and I want to know if there is anyway possible to turn the annoyance of the Driver Signing Enforcement on 64bit systems since that is the only way I tried and managed to get the internet on my netgear PCI card working.

Trouble Signing Onto My Laptop / Forgot Password
Sep 12, 2012I haven't signed on to my laptop that I bought from former co-worker of mine (really savvy with computers) in a few months and I've forgotten the password to log-in. There was no animosity between us after the purchase - he ended up quitting and getting a job elsewhere. I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 with Windows 7 Professional. All though, as evidenced from the bottom of the laptop, he did upgrade the OS at one point from Windows Visa but I am not sure which edition it was. I downloaded the Password Reset Wizard via from my parents home computer on to a new/unused USB flash drive. I clicked on the appropriate drive, typed in a new password, typed it again to confirm and typed in the password hint. After doing all of that, this error message came up "An error occurred while the wizard was attempting to set the password for this user account." Did I do something wrong? And at this point, I am stumped. I haven't been able to get in touch with the former co-worker. Should I call Microsoft and ask for them to send me a Windows 7 disk, buy it online (saw the cheapest price on Newegg for $139.99) or should I try a Windows password recovery tool?

Jan 26, 2012I have purchased a new HP Pavilion with a wireless mouse and keyboard. There are 4 keyboard drivers including "Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard. This driver is causing problems with an application that uses DirectX to handle both the keyboard and mouse.
The problem is that a few keys malfunction but if I uninstal that driver prior to using the application then everything works perfectly in the application as well as everything else in Windows including keyboard, TV, Remote controls etc.
The problem is that everytime the computer is re-booted or even switched on the problem driver is reinstalled.

Dec 27, 2009After a power cut, I can't connect to my router and as a result to the internet anymore. It keeps telling me the network is unidentified. I downloaded my motherboard's network driver (Asus M3N78-VM), installed it, then through Upgrade I selected the driver from NVidia as opposed to Microsoft. Did not work.
I then tried to Uninstall network drivers, or Disabling them. When doing that, my PC is in an infinite loop to uninstall the driver, or to disable it. Also changing IP setting manually and pressing Close in the Local Area Network window _sometimes_ makes my PC go stuck as well (often after disabling IPv6).
I do not have the Bonjour service running (says the Bonjour removal tool), I do have Adobe PS2 for some time and Adobe Reader.
It's hopeless, I can't think of what is wrong or how to remove the network driver properly. I'm up to a point to reinstall the OS, but that involves a lot of work, so if it can be done without it would be great.
Disable Search For Driver Software History
Dec 6, 2009I am trying to turn off "search for driver software in this location" history I have search on the internet but cant seem to find the solution.
It keeps on leaving the location of where the driver is which is at external location that might change form time to time.
You get to this location by going to device manager - pick the device you want to update - driver tab - update driver - browse my computer for driver software - and in the drop down box you have the history of the location of the drivers location history which I do not want.
I know where to delete the history that reside in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion - Setup - and Installation Source string is where you can delete the history
Can someone please help me out here. Your help would be much appreciated.
Disable Restart After Device Driver Installation
Jul 1, 2011I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 32-bit
I'm making a test equipment to test a USB device that uses a FTDI-chip (232R). This FTDI-chip has a S/N a Vendor ID (VID) and a Product ID (PID) along with many other settings.
My problem is: 1. I get a new USB device (not flashed in anyway) from the manufacturer, insert it into a USB port on the computer and windows install the standard device drivers included with this device (these are the same for every device) and no windows reboot message is visible.
2. Now I set the S/N, VID, PID to something I like, then I have to remove the USB device to set the settings. When I insert the device again Windows install the device drivers once again, but this time it prompts me with the message "Restart Now or Restart Later". I press "Restart Later" and the device works fine anyway... BUT Can I somehow get rid of this message?
