Now Certain Documents Only Print In A Restricted Code Context?
Aug 31, 2011
I am not quite sure what to call the print but it is NOT what I am viewing that prints. It seems to happen now only in credit card sites and Paypal. Not for pdf but when I click on printable version it is now like 8 or more pages of small print. I noticed when trying to access a file going through the security tab info, I came across the Access of Control menu which came up with a warning to click here for restricted content and it seemed more like from the help center. That is the same type of print that seems to be printing instead of what is on the screen. Could this be something to do with permissions security type thing that has changed for some reason? It has been doing this for a couple of weeks now. Not sure if it is a Windows 7 issue or where to post this thread.

(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, HP LaserJet CP1215)When printing from Word (or any other normal application) the documents just sit in the print queue with Status = "Error - Printing".If I stop, then re-start the Print Spooler service, they then print.Strangely enough, this does not happen if I print from the HP printer diagnostic utility.I've done complete re-install of the entire printer driver suite and I'm pretty sure everything that end is OK. So what's happening with the spooler? The error message isn't exactly very revealing

I have a ASUS EeePC netbook (windows 7) and I cannot print my documents in wordpad. The printer goes through the motions of printing but the paper comes out blank. The printer and cartridges are brand new and it will print emails and anything off the internet okay, but not wordpad docs.

Okay, I'm not sure if this can be done as easily as I'm hoping. What I'm wanting to do is move already existing context menu items into a cascading context menu to organize and reduce clutter. For instance, I would have a cascading menu named "Scan with" and inside it would be avast! Internet Security and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.On a side note, does anyone know how to remove the following context menu items?Computer- Show on DesktopControl Panel- Show on DesktopImages- Set as desktopbackground- Print Rotate clockwise- Rotate counterclockwiseMusic/Videos- Add to Windows Media Player List

We use Teamviewer in a Windows 7 32 and 64bit enviornment. Our machines are locked down so whenever we need to do something Windows 7 will prompt for username and password. Teamview freezes the session when that happens and doesnt allow for info to be put in until that window is closed by the user. How can you get around this? It also does not show the window waiting for a username and password to be entered only the user see's it not me.

I want to create a user account in Windows 7 in which the user should only be able to use internet explorer. I also want to disable access to other hard drive partitions for that user. How do I do that? Alternatively, is there any way by which I can make Windows require the user to give administrator authorization to delete, move or copy a file/folder by another user on the system. I am not talking about shared folders.

On my Win 7 Pro x64 laptop I have my primary account as an admin, it requires a password to access. The BIOS is password protected as well. I have a laptop tracking software on the machine but it can only send out a signal if it is able to get online, so locking the machine down entirely seems like it would be a problem in recovering it. I read about "Guest Mode" that was available in Windows 7 beta's, but not in the final release. I would like to create a "Guest Account" which will require no password to sign on but will also provide the user with very VERY restricted access.

I have a laptop (Core2Duo) at this stage it is four years old, I'd like to squeeze another two more years out of it, maybe 2.5. I was planning on doing the last upgrade I could for this laptop which is the HDD, currently has a 5400 (320 GB) it's a larger HDD, but slow. The manual states that the max size I can put in this Laptop is a 128 Gig SSD, the problem is cramming the Windows partition into a 128 Gig SSD. Any reason I can't put in a 240 gig ?
Don't ask about accessing the BIOS, you can't, I've researched and the only thing I can change is the boot order, if you wanted to boot from a DVD instead of a HDD. It is a good laptop, I still love it, just heavy but I can throw quite a bit at it, compared to the laptops sold today which some seem to be on an equal plane to mine.

I want to set up a new user account, and I would like to limit it so that the new user can only see and write to a single folder. I do not want them to be able to view what else is on the machine, and I would like to be able to easily check how much space they are using etc. additionally I have a SSD and a hard disc, with windows installed to the SSD, but I would like the new user to be restricted to only the hard disc. Is this possible, and if so how can it be done.

I sometimes wish I had a 'system administrator'. This is just my home pc. I can't think of any changes I made. This is Outlook 7 on Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have 10 pcs on a LAN workgroup. They are mixed Windows 7 and xp. I have set the file sharing, net discovery etc on win 7 on and password protection, firewall off. They all have user accounts like pc1, pc2,...pc10 and I have also created the account of the pc I want to access the restricted folder to the pc that shares it.I have set the ownerships on Windows 7 machines too. I can access the folders on XP machines from the Windows 7 successfully. When I try to set a user-restricted shared folder to a Windows 7 pc and access it from XP I fail. It says that I do not have sufficient rights to access the folder, contact the network admin. I can only access to the folder by setting it available to "everyone" or "guest" read/write but that s not what I want.

I'm on Windows 7 and have run into the annoyance of my PrtScn key actually bringing up the print dialog box to print. It still copies the screen to the clipboard for a paste into paint, but I can't figure out why it's bringing up the dialog to print or how to turn that off. I have seen it before maybe 8 years ago on Windows XP but do not remember what was done to correct it. When I try to search, I just find posts about it not working or how to turn the whole screen capture function off for the PrtScn button.

Is there a way to customize context menus? For example, if I right click on the task bar a context menu comes up and one of the options is Start Task Manager. This menu option runs tskmgr.exe in the Windows/system32 folder. Can I make a option like this or change the option in the menu to run a different program or shortcut?

I have recently added a cascading menu to each of the "desktop" & "my computer" context menus. Both work fine except after powering up the computer the "my computer" cascading menu takes 8 second before showing the actual cascading menu items. After this initial wait the cascading menu shows and works as normal without any delays.

A few minutes ago I highlighted a URL, right clicked in order to copy and the right click context menu did not open.
Unfortunately one cannot use Edit/Copy in the command bar for a URL.
I then attempted to copy random text from a web page and again no right click context menu. I was able to copy the text using Edit/Copy. I can also use Edit/Copy in notepad.
I also discovered that I have no right click context menu at all. I tried right clicking on the taskbar, the desktop, desktop icons, and in an empty space in my top command bars. Next I tried to copy the URL using SeaMonkey. Didn't work.
It worked earlier today. I have made no changes to anything that would cause this to happen. I really need the context menu. How do I get it back?
edit to add: I uninstalled the software for my mouse, reinstalled, didn't cure the problem. I did a google search and found an article by Microsoft which I followed but did not resolve the issue.
