i had installed hp deskjet 2050 all in one j510 series for my system windows 7, and it scans my documents but not print them. and hp printer symbol is not publish on the printer name option.

Everything works OK except my scanned documents are not in "My Scans" even though that sd where the HP scanning software says that is where they were sent.

The printer and cartridges are brand new and it will print emails and anything off the internet okay, but not wordpad docs.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am not quite sure what to call the print but it is NOT what I am viewing that prints. It seems to happen now only in credit card sites and Paypal. Not for pdf but when I click on printable version it is now like 8 or more pages of small print. I noticed when trying to access a file going through the security tab info, I came across the Access of Control menu which came up with a warning to click here for restricted content and it seemed more like from the help center. That is the same type of print that seems to be printing instead of what is on the screen. Could this be something to do with permissions security type thing that has changed for some reason? It has been doing this for a couple of weeks now. Not sure if it is a Windows 7 issue or where to post this thread.

I keep getting errors saying it is off or offline, but it is on and status is "ready" on the printers and devices menu. I can print from my laptopthrough the wireless network so I am a little confused. I have done all the HP trouble shooting senarios, uninstalled/reinstalled stopped and started the spooler etc etc. I really need to be able to print from my desktop for my business.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI migrated my HP Deskjet 870Cxi from a WinXp laptop to a new Win7 32bit laptop. I use a parallel to USB printer connector cable. The printer works fine under WinXP.Now the printer will not print under Win7. All jobs are held pending. I can confirm under Windows Devices and Printers that 870c printer driver is recognized. I tried to print a page from Notepad, a test page and text alignment page.HP website says that Win7 has all the drivers and it will load them. I confirm that Win7 does load drivers for 870c but NOT 870Cxi.I checked Windows 7 hardware compatibility at Microsoft.com where it lists a couple of hundred Deskjets that are compatible including 870c, but it does not even list 870Cxi. The nearest comparable listed model is 890Cxi. But again the drivers for 890Cxi is already loaded on Win7 32bit. But Win7 chooses 870c.

It still copies the screen to the clipboard for a paste into paint, but I can't figure out why it's bringing up the dialog to print or how to turn that off. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 2 users defined to my W7 computer, lets say Jack (administrator) and Jill (normal user). Both users have had their "My Documents" moved to a second disk drive E: as "Jack's Documents" and "Jill's Documents".
Recently (I first noticed it on 26th August) both users started to see two "My Documents" folders on the E: drive in Windows Explorer. One contains Jack's files and folders, the other Jill's files and folders. I'm sure (but have no proof) that Jack used to see "My Documents" and "Jill's Documents", and Jill used to see "My Documents" and "Jack's Documents".
I've searched for information about this problem but can only find examples for duplicate "My Documents" folders for a single user.
When I click on "My Documents" I often then go to the Desktop by clicking to the right of a small window/bar at the top. It then opens up "Desktop", which is just above it in the"family tree". I click on "Desktop" to quickly go to it.
Suddenly this bar has disappeared. How to I get it back again?
