I have a ASUS EeePC netbook (windows 7) and I cannot print my documents in wordpad. The printer goes through the motions of printing but the paper comes out blank. The printer and cartridges are brand new and it will print emails and anything off the internet okay, but not wordpad docs.
Does anybody know of any file converters out there (free if possible) that can convert ClarisWorks files to Office Word files? I have a lot of old documents that I wish to convert.
(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, HP LaserJet CP1215)When printing from Word (or any other normal application) the documents just sit in the print queue with Status = "Error - Printing".If I stop, then re-start the Print Spooler service, they then print.Strangely enough, this does not happen if I print from the HP printer diagnostic utility.I've done complete re-install of the entire printer driver suite and I'm pretty sure everything that end is OK. So what's happening with the spooler? The error message isn't exactly very revealing
I tryed to open 3 word folders to print whay was in them ,now my computer won,t open any . the dialog box just keeps telling me to go to the control panel and repair the product?
My friend has a LEGALLY obtained version of word 2010 and the access code for it but is unable to open up .docx sent to him but he is able open word and begin a new document, and when i did a C drive search for the Word application there wasn't one.
I have Office 2010 installed. I often print an online news article to the xps format. Sometimes I have the need to convert this format to Word. The question is how do I make the conversion without using a free software. It is preferable to use a software that would retain the original format of the article.
I am not quite sure what to call the print but it is NOT what I am viewing that prints. It seems to happen now only in credit card sites and Paypal. Not for pdf but when I click on printable version it is now like 8 or more pages of small print. I noticed when trying to access a file going through the security tab info, I came across the Access of Control menu which came up with a warning to click here for restricted content and it seemed more like from the help center. That is the same type of print that seems to be printing instead of what is on the screen. Could this be something to do with permissions security type thing that has changed for some reason? It has been doing this for a couple of weeks now. Not sure if it is a Windows 7 issue or where to post this thread.
i had installed hp deskjet 2050 all in one j510 series for my system windows 7, and it scans my documents but not print them. and hp printer symbol is not publish on the printer name option.
A Word document suddenly changes into a 'read only' file which cannot be saved or deleted. I have 'saved' under different file names as instructed, but as a result I now have 10 versions of the document, 9 of which I don't want! The 'Help' file says go to 'Properties' and untick the 'read only' box. The boxes aren't ticked, so I still cannot delete. How do I delete these files?
since I installed SP1 for Office 2010 I have problems with opening some (not all!) older Word documents created with Word 2003 (*.doc). I get a message that Word can't read the document and it is probably corrupt. On a other client (same OS, Office 2010 without SP1) I can open the same document without difficulty.
I have Office 2000 and I like it, I moved it over to my new Windows 7 laptop and moved all my Word docs over and now I can't do a thing with my word files - they are all read only.
I have installed an HP Printer and it's printing fine with the exception of MS docs. I can bring PDF files, web pages. I've printed an ebay purchase and and an Amazon purchase. However, I am unable to print Word or Works doc.
my Word 2010 on-screen doc appears properly paginated with all graphics in place but print preview shows everything askew graphics are the worst - a graphic lined up correctly in the doc on screen appears in the bottom of the previous doc in print preview...
JMHO, Word 2010 (read Office 2010) sucks - I've wasted more time *#%# around with it...
2007 was better - I publish long, graphics-filled docs - Word 2010 chokes on them whereas Word 2007 was hiccup free - navigation in Word 2010 blows too moving one step closer to a Mac...
New win 7 pc, had old HD fitted as slave drive, can see & move photos across but wife christmas card mail list (all I really need from old docs) will not view/move/print. If they can be moved there does not seem to be a labels template in win 7 word pad. surely the designers should have expected home premium user to want to write a few labels once a year!
However I have installed MS Office 2007, and now I have options to create new PowerPoint, Word and Excell documents. How would I go about removing and restoring these?
I'm using Word 2002 + Windows 7 and can't preview Word documents in the preview pane (although pdf's and webpages work fine). Is there anything I can do?
I've been using various print drivers for various locations with success for a month with my new laptop. Today, all drivers gone.Loading new ones doesn't work. Print spooler is not "started;" it starts successfully, then is not "started" next time I look.Other possibly relevant information: HP 1020, HP MX 340 at home office.Tried: multiple restarts of print spooler, multiple reboots, troubleshooters, HP detect and download drivers?
I normally use Word 2003 for documents, although I use Outlook 2010. This morning I opened a Word 2010 document and after quite a while of some sort of an installation, I was able to open the Word 2010 document. I did not think too much of it, except that later I was sending an e-mail and attached a Word 2003 document and when I went to check it (i.e. open it up) it opened in Word 2010. How do I disable Word 2010 as my default program to open Word documents. I do not want to uninstall the program, but at this point I am not ready to learn how to use Word 2010.
Have been using WORD 2007.But, I just downloaded and installed Open Office. But I only want to use it for its Spreadsheet. However, it looks like its word processing component has taken over. Now, my WORD documents are being opened by Open Office which I do not want. How can I make WORD the Default word processing program (again)?
I'm on Windows 7 and have run into the annoyance of my PrtScn key actually bringing up the print dialog box to print. It still copies the screen to the clipboard for a paste into paint, but I can't figure out why it's bringing up the dialog to print or how to turn that off. I have seen it before maybe 8 years ago on Windows XP but do not remember what was done to correct it. When I try to search, I just find posts about it not working or how to turn the whole screen capture function off for the PrtScn button.
