I migrated my HP Deskjet 870Cxi from a WinXp laptop to a new Win7 32bit laptop. I use a parallel to USB printer connector cable. The printer works fine under WinXP.Now the printer will not print under Win7. All jobs are held pending. I can confirm under Windows Devices and Printers that 870c printer driver is recognized. I tried to print a page from Notepad, a test page and text alignment page.HP website says that Win7 has all the drivers and it will load them. I confirm that Win7 does load drivers for 870c but NOT 870Cxi.I checked Windows 7 hardware compatibility at Microsoft.com where it lists a couple of hundred Deskjets that are compatible including 870c, but it does not even list 870Cxi. The nearest comparable listed model is 890Cxi. But again the drivers for 890Cxi is already loaded on Win7 32bit. But Win7 chooses 870c.
HP Deskjet printer won't print with USB on new PC. Prints fine with parallel cable on old PC. Why won't it print now with a new PC using USB connection? I have a new USB cable.
HP Deskjet will not print from Desktop but will from laptop. My HP Deskjet will not print from my desktop. I keep getting errors saying it is off or offline, but it is on and status is "ready" on the printers and devices menu. I can print from my laptopthrough the wireless network so I am a little confused. I have done all the HP trouble shooting senarios, uninstalled/reinstalled stopped and started the spooler etc etc. I really need to be able to print from my desktop for my business.
My printer is a HP Deskjet F4400 series, bought it March of 2010, and lately it was making noises, but now it doesn't print anymore. When I was trying to print something, the paper starts then stops, and nothing else (the machinery) happens, then it becomes a pain to turn it off. Is my printer going, or could it be something else?
i had installed hp deskjet 2050 all in one j510 series for my system windows 7, and it scans my documents but not print them. and hp printer symbol is not publish on the printer name option.
I've been using various print drivers for various locations with success for a month with my new laptop. Today, all drivers gone.Loading new ones doesn't work. Print spooler is not "started;" it starts successfully, then is not "started" next time I look.Other possibly relevant information: HP 1020, HP MX 340 at home office.Tried: multiple restarts of print spooler, multiple reboots, troubleshooters, HP detect and download drivers?
(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, HP LaserJet CP1215)When printing from Word (or any other normal application) the documents just sit in the print queue with Status = "Error - Printing".If I stop, then re-start the Print Spooler service, they then print.Strangely enough, this does not happen if I print from the HP printer diagnostic utility.I've done complete re-install of the entire printer driver suite and I'm pretty sure everything that end is OK. So what's happening with the spooler? The error message isn't exactly very revealing
I'm on Windows 7 and have run into the annoyance of my PrtScn key actually bringing up the print dialog box to print. It still copies the screen to the clipboard for a paste into paint, but I can't figure out why it's bringing up the dialog to print or how to turn that off. I have seen it before maybe 8 years ago on Windows XP but do not remember what was done to correct it. When I try to search, I just find posts about it not working or how to turn the whole screen capture function off for the PrtScn button.
I am having problems with my three HP printers, Hp deskjet 3550, 3744 and 5943. All of them I cannot have them installed on the HP/Compaq laptops which are currently running on windows 7 (home preminum 32 bit).
