Any new computer mouse with a toggle switch instead of a scroll wheel? I have a Sony mouse with that arrangement but the left click is getting a bit erratic. I suppose I could replace the switch but it would be easier to get a new mouse when this one finally quits. The toggle makes it much easier to scroll through long documents than roll, roll, roll the wheel.

I've tried different mice and it still didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse driver, no go. Installed Microsoft Intellipoint, no go. Plugged into USB and Serial port, no go.

In the Mouse properties, it always seems to set the scroll wheel amount to "30" lines, and I always need to change it back to "3" everytime I boot. Is there a way to fix this issue? edit: I'm using a Razer Abyssus mouse
View 4 Replies View RelatedAt first I thought it was just a problem with my mouse but my roommate who has the same mouse is having the same issue. For some reason the scroll-wheel on this mouse is not responding properly. When I scroll up or down it sometimes skips the wrong direction (I.e. if i scroll down it will go up about half the time making it very imprecise and take twice as long). This has only started happening since I've had Windows 7 installed (my roommate is also using Windows 7)
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue with Windows 7 and the Razer Deathadder mouse. It's pretty annoying and I'm almost at the point where I'm just going to buy something else.
How to switch off 'wheel'? The scrolling control only goes down to 1. My touch pad scrolls can be a nuisance, causing sudden unwanted scrolling!

Biggest problem I am facing is the mistaking of the wheel with mouse 1. Some times when I am browsing the net and i have to scroll, and generally every time I move my mouse fast, it automatically presses the wheel. It is getting really annoying and I dont know how to stop it. I changed the mouse with another,and I had the same problem.I dont know what to do.I believe its a virus but pc didnt find anything with avast.

Sometimes I think I must have an alter ego who is intent on screwing up my life because I get on my computer and suddenly its doing weird stuff I never wanted it to do.Here lately, a lot of times when I just want to scroll down the page, it ends up zooming into letters so small I can't read, or conversely too large.How is this happening and how can I stop it other than handcuff myself if I'm doing it in my sleep and sabotaging myself.

If you click the navigation pane, then the wheel should in my opinion default over to scroll on the main pane. It's a little bothersome to have to keep clikckingto scroll after i just cliked to open that item in the navitgation pane already.

My logitech wireless mouse will stop working on certain pages maybe the second or third page of ebay for example. If "refreshed " it will work for 1-2 seconds and then stops "refresh " again and it will work for 1-2 seconds again. On certain sites it has no problem.

When i restart my laptop, the speed is back up to full when i scroll, but when i check in control panel >mouse settings, the speed shows that its still set to the lowest setting. I move the slider, click apply and it works again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a very strange problem. Windows vista wont recognize my touchpad's scroll (when I move my finger up and down on the right side of the toucpad nothing happens). Ive tried fixing it in the control panel, but I apparently cant.
Also, I use a western spanish keyboard and I cant use @ (in spanish keyboard is (AltGr+Q)). I can only use it by changing the keyboard to English (Shift+2). Anybody has a solution??
I'm looking for a program that "grabs the scroll bar" when holding down the right mouse button. Then when moving the mouse cursor, it should act exactly like I'm actually holding down the scroll bar. Then when I let the right mouse button up, it doesn't scroll any more when moving the mouse cursor. If I'm not clear about what I mean - let me know. I've tried some programs already, but only one could work like this: MouseImp Pro Live! But the sad thing is that this only seems to work in Windows, but not in other programs and such.

In the file view of Windows File Explorer, if I click in the space and wheel scroll, everything works fine and the scrolling is smooth. View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my new Acer M7720 (X58 Core-i7-920) I have Vista HP 64 bits working fine with an Conceptronic 2 port KVM switch so I can also use keyboard, mouse & monitor on my old PC. On the new Acer I also installed Windows 7, but here the mous and keyboard are not recogized when connected through the KVM switch.
I have to stick both in the front site USB ports, then baoth are working. When I stick them in the KVM switch, you can here the USB connect sound and both devices are shown under unknown devices, wereas the are shown under devices when connected through the front side USB ports.
Any one an idea how to salve this? by the way the KVM switch is also 'seen' by Windows 7 under devices even though it doens't need any drivers. All conncected devices are shown (I have also 2 USB drives)
I firts used a usb corless mouse and keyboard. But it didn't work correctly.So I went to a usb mouse and keyboard and the kvm switch wont recognise it.Windows 7 on the main computer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Razor mouse ( the Lachesis) which has the ability to store profiles -of polling rates and DPI- and switch these profiles as it sees the desired program. I use two profiles. One is for the "Steam.exe" for my on-line gaming. When I launch Steam, the mouse sees the exe, and switches to this max polling/DPI profile. The other profile is the "Normal" profile which is set at a much slower, less twitchy speed. On XP, I was able to find the Windows "Explorer.exe" in CWindowsSystem32. I set this as my switching exe.and it caused the mouse to switch to the "Normal" profile when it saw the desktop. I can't find the "Explorer.exe" in System32 in Windows 7. Is there no such thing in Windows 7 (Enterprise) or is there another exe. I can use for the same purpose of switching, on seeing the desktop?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a gateway m-6843 laptop that originally came with vista. It has a track pad, or whatever that thing on laptops is called. I installed windows 7. In both FF and IE when the cursor is NOT in the scroll area, it acts as though I am holding on to the scroll bar. So if I move my cursor down near the bottom of the main part of the browser page (again, outside of the scroll area) it acts as if I grabbed the scroll bar and flung it down. It is intermittent, but bad enough that doing anything online is almost impossible.
