View 3 RepliesAny new computer mouse with a toggle switch instead of a scroll wheel? I have a Sony mouse with that arrangement but the left click is getting a bit erratic. I suppose I could replace the switch but it would be easier to get a new mouse when this one finally quits. The toggle makes it much easier to scroll through long documents than roll, roll, roll the wheel.

It happens if the computer has been running for hours or only a couple of minutes. I have to shut the PC off and leave it off for 20-30 minutes. I can then restart and enter any user account. But if I try to switch user or logoff and pick a different user the whole cycle begins anew.

View 9 Replies View Relatedthat when I use rpd from my Windows 7 Pro PC to my XP-Pro PC the wheel on the mouse will not work. The mouse works and everything else but not the wheel.
It must be Windows 7 because if I log in Xp to Xp it works. I tried another Win 7 PC to XP-Pro same thing!
So I have this problem with the scroll wheel on any mouse I plug into this computer. One day it was working, and suddenly it went really choppy and stopped working. I've tried different mice and it still didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse driver, no go. Installed Microsoft Intellipoint, no go. Plugged into USB and Serial port, no go.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWell, I just found my old PC Wheel (Speedlink 2in1 Force Vibration Wheel) and I wanted to try it out. I remember, that it was working on my gaming pc, when it had XP on it. Now it has Windows 7 and it recognises it as a Generic USB Hub, not as a game controller. I tried to reinstall drivers, even the whole pc. But without any results. The wheel is working, I tested it on my laptop, which has Windows 7 too, but also it has USB 3.0. Maybe that is the reason, why it isnt working on my gaming pc? Its not working even on my friends pc.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on an item inthe navigation pane and want to scroll down to a certain folder in the main window, the mouse wheel stays on the nav pane. Have to go and click in the main window to scroll.
If you click the navigation pane, then the wheel should in my opinion default over to scroll on the main pane. It's a little bothersome to have to keep clikckingto scroll after i just cliked to open that item in the navitgation pane already.
confused yet? maybe the pic will better describe it. I know it's not a big deal, but......
Like in the pic i clicked on music folder in the left nav pane, i would want it to scroll over on right without having to click mouse again. Maybe it's a matter of preference, but that's mine.
I have a desktop running Windows 7 64. I have a problem with my mouse wheel. Every time I roll it forward slightly, I get the blue screen of death. How do I disable my mouse wheel? I have a generic microsoft mouse.
I have gone to the mouse settings but I can not find a setting to disable the wheel. I've tried to download TweakUI but I am unable to install it.
everytime I boot up my PC, the mouse settings never seem to be saved from the last time. In the Mouse properties, it always seems to set the scroll wheel amount to "30" lines, and I always need to change it back to "3" everytime I boot. Is there a way to fix this issue? edit: I'm using a Razer Abyssus mouse

View 1 Replies View RelatedAt first I thought it was just a problem with my mouse but my roommate who has the same mouse is having the same issue. For some reason the scroll-wheel on this mouse is not responding properly. When I scroll up or down it sometimes skips the wrong direction (I.e. if i scroll down it will go up about half the time making it very imprecise and take twice as long). This has only started happening since I've had Windows 7 installed (my roommate is also using Windows 7)
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue with Windows 7 and the Razer Deathadder mouse. It's pretty annoying and I'm almost at the point where I'm just going to buy something else.

Im using a microsoft wireless mouse wheel to scroll through web pages on IE9 and win 7. I set its speed to the lowest possible in control panel and it works fine.
When i restart my laptop, the speed is back up to full when i scroll, but when i check in control panel >mouse settings, the speed shows that its still set to the lowest setting. I move the slider, click apply and it works again.

Biggest problem I am facing is the mistaking of the wheel with mouse 1. View 9 Replies View RelatedI am aware of the cavets for hardware and software when switching from 32 to 64 bit, but the question is this. I just bought the 3 unit upgrade which contains both the 32 and the 64 bit discs. I have an AMD dual core that will process the 64 bit. I installed the 32 bit version. Now I wonder, can I go back and install the 64 bit and if I do will I lose the extra install or will I still have 2 left on the 64 and the 32?

I need to run the current version of Photoshop and it only runs on 64 bit.Need to do a clean install and I have no problem with that since their are very few programs on the computer. My problem is I have a disk from the Reseller that says "Windows 7 Home Premium". Will that also carry the 64 bit version of the software? Also the disk says "Licensed for use with the "Registered Refurbisher". I did license the software when I got the computer.I ran the Windows 7 upgrade utility and it told me the 64 bit is OK to load.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to share folders between my two computers A and B. Would also like to share internet thru ICS. Both the computers have windows 7.
This is the setup - One direct lan connection from router to A, then another lan on A is connected to a switch. B is also connected to a switch.
On A, I have allowed other network users to connect thru this computers connection (for the lan card which is connected to the router).
The other lan connected to the switch remains unidentified, in fact it gets APIPA with IP as 169.254.82.6.
