So I have this problem with the scroll wheel on any mouse I plug into this computer. One day it was working, and suddenly it went really choppy and stopped working. I've tried different mice and it still didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse driver, no go. Installed Microsoft Intellipoint, no go. Plugged into USB and Serial port, no go.

In the Mouse properties, it always seems to set the scroll wheel amount to "30" lines, and I always need to change it back to "3" everytime I boot. View 4 Replies View RelatedAt first I thought it was just a problem with my mouse but my roommate who has the same mouse is having the same issue. For some reason the scroll-wheel on this mouse is not responding properly. When I scroll up or down it sometimes skips the wrong direction (I.e. if i scroll down it will go up about half the time making it very imprecise and take twice as long). This has only started happening since I've had Windows 7 installed (my roommate is also using Windows 7)
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue with Windows 7 and the Razer Deathadder mouse. It's pretty annoying and I'm almost at the point where I'm just going to buy something else.
Any new computer mouse with a toggle switch instead of a scroll wheel? I have a Sony mouse with that arrangement but the left click is getting a bit erratic. I suppose I could replace the switch but it would be easier to get a new mouse when this one finally quits. The toggle makes it much easier to scroll through long documents than roll, roll, roll the wheel.

It must be Windows 7 because if I log in Xp to Xp it works. I tried another Win 7 PC to XP-Pro same thing!
as described I use a Logitech G510 keyboard with multimedia keys and the posibility to insert a headset into it (the keyboard got its own soundcard). The keyboard also got a volume wheel which worked with Vista like it should: I could controle the speaker's volume by the keyboard.
Now with Win 7 I can't use the wheel anymore, even with the latest drivers.

OS Win 7 professional 32 bit
Intel core duo E4500 2,2 GHz; 2GB RAM
Sapphire HD5770 graphiccard
I use the auto scroll feature on my mouse frequently to browse web pages. Before upgrading to win 7 (and ie8) when activated I could scroll using the arrow keys on my keyboard. Since upgrading the arrow keys no longer work. You can only scroll by moving the mouse itself. That function is very important to me as it allowed me to keep my hand off the mouse reducing the aggravation of carpal tunnel syndrome. Any fixes? I am not sure if this is an IE8 problem or win 7 as I only use the function when browsing the web.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a gateway m-6843 laptop that originally came with vista. It has a track pad, or whatever that thing on laptops is called. I installed windows 7. In both FF and IE when the cursor is NOT in the scroll area, it acts as though I am holding on to the scroll bar. So if I move my cursor down near the bottom of the main part of the browser page (again, outside of the scroll area) it acts as if I grabbed the scroll bar and flung it down. It is intermittent, but bad enough that doing anything online is almost impossible.

Now it has Windows 7 and it recognises it as a Generic USB Hub, not as a game controller. I tried to reinstall drivers, even the whole pc. But without any results. The wheel is working, I tested it on my laptop, which has Windows 7 too, but also it has USB 3.0. Maybe that is the reason, why it isnt working on my gaming pc? Its not working even on my friends pc.

If you click the navigation pane, then the wheel should in my opinion default over to scroll on the main pane. It's a little bothersome to have to keep clikckingto scroll after i just cliked to open that item in the navitgation pane already.

When i restart my laptop, the speed is back up to full when i scroll, but when i check in control panel >mouse settings, the speed shows that its still set to the lowest setting. I move the slider, click apply and it works again.

I looked for drivers thinking I maybe needed to update them, but it says drivers are not required. I have disconnected and reconnected the mouse from my PC, which is running Windows 7, and still no luck.
All of a sudden the Up & Down Arrow Keys, the Page Up & Page Down Keys, the Home & End Keys no longer work properly. Whenever I click on any of them nothing happens or I am taken to the very bottom of the page. The only way I can move up & down the page is to use the Scroll Bar.
