whether it would be ok to run a Nvidia 7800GT and Nvidia 9500GT graphics cards side by side, safely on this mobo. Obviously i do not intend to run in SLI mode, i just want to run 4 monitors from all four outputs.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an asrock 775dual-VSTA and I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, 32bit.
Things seemed fine, but I realized my USB was performing very slowly.
For example, it takes hours and hours just to upload a few albums to my iPod.
I presume it's a motherboard driver problem. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I dont see any Windows 7 drivers from Asrock for this Mobo.
Im *really* hoping I dont have to buy a new one.
Here are some screenshots from my Device Manager. As you can see, USB seems to be fine, but there are those unknown devices that I have no idea what they are. As far as I can tell, everything is working fine except the USB speed so I presume these unknown devices are related?
anyone knows how the HD 2500 compares to the 3000 and 4000? I'm mostly looking for improved video transcoding compared to my Pentium G620 and don't really need the "gaming" graphics capabilities. But I haven't been able to find any information as to how the HD 2500 compare.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI run a Nvidia GTX 275 Works flawlessly even if i use both ports on the back to use dual monitors.
If however i plug my Nvidia 8800GT in the second PCI-E x16 Slot the computer only recognizes the 8800GT which is in the second port and there is no GTX 275 showing in the Device Manager or Boot Menu.
So basically i plug in my second video card and my primary card just vanishes from the computer like its not even there.
Has anyone got an idea what could be the cause of this?
I have checked the drivers and its the same drivers at the moment for the 8800GT and the GTX 275.
I want to be able to run my 19" Widescreen Monitor on my GTX 275 and use my 8800GT Card for my tiny 15" Screen so i can play Games on my Primary card and be able to have Website open and viewable all the same.
(I'm not trying to run SLi as i know you need 2 of the same GPU and your motherboard needs to be able to support it, I don't like SLi so its all good so far.)
I currently have an ATI RADEON HD 4850 in my computer, but i have an old Nvidia 6600.. something laying around. I was wondering if it would be possible to drop that in my system and use it purely for additional monitors. I dont mean to link it with my ati card cause i know that that wont work, but basically keep it separate to run a few more moniters.

I am currently running 2 monitors on my PC, but I would like to add a third that I had on hand. My computer has an AOD 790 GX/128M Motherboard, with quad-core AMD Phenom II CPU. I currently have a Nvidia NX8800GTX GPU installed, which has my 2 monitors connected to it. I have a graphics card that I could install, however it is an ATI X1300. I would be willing to connect my third monitor either through the motherboards embedded graphics, or through my ATI card. Is it possible to do either of these? I am worried about a driver issue since the 2 GPU's are different brands, and I am not sure it is possible to use embedded graphics at the same time as a card. If this is not possible, what would be the cheapest way to add a third monitor?

As the system is not mine I am trying to keep costs low and avoid buying anything. In short. I am trying to run three monitors, 2 through a ATI4600 series and 1 through an el-cheapo ATI Radeon 9250 256MB, however when both cards a plugged into the mobo the second (el-cheapo) will not run displaying a cannot start message.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Optiplex 740 that I'm using to test Windows 7 on. I have 3 video cards total. 2 are PCI cards and 1 is integrated. Windows sees the Integrated in the device manager but when I go in to the display control to change resolution I cant choose it to extended my screen to. It doesnt even show up in the selection. Only the 2 other cards. I went into the bios and made sure it wasnt disabled, I made sure the right drivers are installed, the cable is plugged in, and the monitor is on and has power. What else could be wrong?

As time goes on and a product catalog grows, it's not unusual for a company to reduce and eventually eliminate support for older products. In the case of ATI, AMD's graphics division, a new decision to reduce support for older graphics chips is about to take effect. To date, ATI has provided a new WHQL certified driver every month to nearly every graphics card capable of DirectX 9 acceleration. That includes cards all the way back to 2002's Radeon 9700 Pro. After this month's Catalyst 9.3 release, that will not be the case.
After Catalyst 9.3, products prior to the R6xx generation of graphics cards (that go by the Radeon HD 2000 series brand names) will be changed to "legacy support status." This means that these products will get quarterly WHQL driver updates, instead of monthly updates. AMD assures us that these products will still receive critical "hotfix" drivers if high-priority fixes are needed.
I recently played NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (released 2002), and the next day my Graphics card busted. The strange part is that I have been playing Robin Hood Legend of Sherwood AND Harry Potter 4 (both released after 2004 and with higher graphics) for over two months now and no problem arose. View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got a dedicated subwoofer today (by dedicated I mean one meant to go into a receiver for a home theater) and I'm trying to set it up as part of my 5.1 set up for my computer. My set up is actually kind of ghetto in a sense. I have two, two piece speakers that are probably meant to be 2.0 set ups separately, all hooked up to my computer and ran as a 5.1 set up. Till today I was just missing a subwoofer and I saw a deal at Best Buy for an Insignia NS-RSW211 for $25 and decided to get one thinking that it'd be a piece of cake set up. Well after an hour of installing and uninstalling drivers I'm still at square one with my set up. The problem is that on my motherboard, the Center and Subwoofer channels are combined into one even though I have six channels on the board. I linked some pictures of my set up in the Realtek client. When I have the "Swap Center" feature on, I have no center but the bass plays out of the sub. However when I have "Swap Center" off, the bass plays out of the center and nothing comes out of the sub. I've been surfing a lot of different forums and no one really has a good solution besides buying a dedicated sound card.

I tried downloading the LAN driver from here: [URL] but it tells me: "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep mod is enabled Please Plug the Cable." It goes well up to completing the installation, when I think it is trying to restart the PC and all I get is a blank screen. After powering off and starting again, I get the windows shut down completed unsuccessfully message. I start windows normally. The Windows load goes as af as the logo after which I get another blank screen. Can anyone shed any light before I send it back? View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a brand new mobo, AsRock h55M-LE. I got KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 CL9 XMP memory sticks. When I try to boot up with one stick which is in slot DDR-B, the comp works. If I put another stick in DDR-A, comp boots up for 5-7 seconds and reboots. I use only one stick in DDR-A it's gonna be same error. So atm only DDR-B with one stick works.I tried to change timings and voltage in BIOS and result was this:9-9-9-27, dram volt 1,65, vtt auto and both sticks in boots up for 5-7 secs and reboots (there's no pic in monitor etc)9-9-9-27, dram volt 1,65, vtt auto and one stick in everything works.9-9-9-25, dram volt 1.5, vtt auto and two sticks in comp boots and stays on but there is no pic in monitor or any light on keyboard etc..9-9-9-25, dram volt 1.5, vtt auto and one stick in everything works. And also tried to change dram frequence but it's the same with all.I have tried both sticks and they both work.
