View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having problems installing WIN7 home premium on a new ASROCK ION 330 HT PC . It goes well up to completing the installation, when I think it is trying to restart the PC and all I get is a blank screen. After powering off and starting again, I get the windows shut down completed unsuccessfully message. I start windows normally. The Windows load goes as af as the logo after which I get another blank screen. Can anyone shed any light before I send it back? I have done a memory check which was OK and I have rest the BIOS to factory settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded the AMD all in one driver from this link: [URL]. I have a few issues however:
1) I don't know if this is necessary, but I can't find out my current driver version. I did a google search on how to find it, but the results I received told me to look for a "Motherboard Resources" entry under "System Devices" - problem is that no such entry exists on my system.
2) Whenever I click on the setup file for the driver I downloaded, it launches it using the ATI Catalyst Control Center. Is this right?
i just built a new pc but my mother board is older than windows 7. i urgently need to find audio drivers for an Intel ASRock 775vm800 motherboard that is compatible with windows 7!!! i cant seem to find any because the motherboard came out before win7
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP 1 original unmodified MS Technet ISO to a blank Crucial RealSSD C300 SSD drive and it is taking hours to do that. The last time I did the install it took almost 4 hours to copy the files, I tried it from a DVD drive and from an external USB-HDD and there was no speed difference. After the installation was done, the SSD was very fast though, no problems at all then.
Now I have to install again and I do not want to wait again a half day just for the files to copy. My Mainboard is a ASROCK 870 Extreme 3 , I use AHCI , AMD AHCI Bios is disabled and AHCI is enabled for SATA3_5 and 6 .
I have an asrock 775dual-VSTA and I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, 32bit.
Things seemed fine, but I realized my USB was performing very slowly.
For example, it takes hours and hours just to upload a few albums to my iPod.
I presume it's a motherboard driver problem. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I dont see any Windows 7 drivers from Asrock for this Mobo.
Im *really* hoping I dont have to buy a new one.
Here are some screenshots from my Device Manager. As you can see, USB seems to be fine, but there are those unknown devices that I have no idea what they are. As far as I can tell, everything is working fine except the USB speed so I presume these unknown devices are related?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a brand new mobo, AsRock h55M-LE. I got KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 CL9 XMP memory sticks. When I try to boot up with one stick which is in slot DDR-B, the comp works. If I put another stick in DDR-A, comp boots up for 5-7 seconds and reboots. I use only one stick in DDR-A it's gonna be same error. So atm only DDR-B with one stick works.I tried to change timings and voltage in BIOS and result was this:9-9-9-27, dram volt 1,65, vtt auto and both sticks in boots up for 5-7 secs and reboots (there's no pic in monitor etc)9-9-9-27, dram volt 1,65, vtt auto and one stick in everything works.9-9-9-25, dram volt 1.5, vtt auto and two sticks in comp boots and stays on but there is no pic in monitor or any light on keyboard etc..9-9-9-25, dram volt 1.5, vtt auto and one stick in everything works. And also tried to change dram frequence but it's the same with all.I have tried both sticks and they both work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently formatted and installed Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit), after doing so all the drivers par from 2 are functioning properly.
In device manager it specifies that two devices are not working properly, a unknown device and High Definition Audio.
My motherboard:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=ALiveSATA2-GLAN
I've downloaded the latest drivers from realtek (says windows 7 (64bit) compatible), no luck. I tried to use the drivers from the disk supplied by the company when I originally bought the computer, disk cannot load. I've tried downloading sound drivers from the motherboard's website, no luck.
What should I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Asrock Extreme6 Z77 motherboard, and of course it comes with their signature Instant Boot.I have a Crucial m4 so booting wasn't an issue but I enabled it anyway to test it out. It didn't really do anything so I disabled and uninstalled it. However, now when I reboot there is no Windows loading screen, it just goes black after the Mobo splash screen and then shows the Windows login. This isn't a huge deal but I can't seem to figure out why this is happening. When the screen goes black, my USB keyboard and mouse go off too (the back-lights go off). I don't know if this has anything to do with anything but I thought I would mention it.Also, in msconfig the option for No Boot GUI is not checked.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHi everyone. I installed Windows 8 today. I did partition the disk like in a guide, however, I missed where to install...I downloaded a Windows 7 iso image today and burned it to a disk, will I be able to install Windows 7 again from a disc? I still have Windows.old folder in my C drive, is there any way to dual boot Win8 and Windows 7?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am getting the following error from past 2 days :-It says "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your Computer".
Status: 0xc0000225.
Since i dont have the recovery disc so i downloaded the one from torrent but of no use as it failed to read from the USB.
I installed Win 7 Ultimate onto my brothers Win 7 Home Edn laptop. I didn't realise at first and he has done quite a bit of work on it since the installation, on iTunes and the like. I only noticed the error when trying to activate windows and, of course, as the laptop is Home Edn, and I used an Ultimate disc it didn't take the key on the laptop. So I have now installed Home edition and have the Windows.old folder present. I basically need to put all the programs and file/folders etc into the new OS.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMS and their mail systems are giving me grief. I have a Vista 32 PC using "Windows Mail" and want to transfer email folders (lots) and messages to Windows 7 using Windows Live Mail 2011.Windows Mail was a replacement for Outlook express on Vista.Windows Live Mail 2011 is a replacement for Windows Mail on Windows 7.I tried a couple of things.
1) Basic Export and ImportI exported relavent files: Account info, Contacts and all the messages to a folder (in Windows Mail format) on old computer and used the old "Addias" transfer - copied folder to stick and RAN it over to the new computer.
- Imported (using the Windows Mail format) the Account info successfully,
- imported the Contact info successfully.
- Import Messages - appeared at first to be successful
Issue: Message folders appear to be renamed and some folder names have been truncated, not all folders appear to be there. (Looks like "long Name folders greater that 8 characters get truncated)
2) Tried the "Easy transfer mechanism (Vista and Win7 transfer utility) - but couldn't get the new computer to see the Vista even though I could see them on the network. I thought that this would transfer the folder names correctly.I'm about to try a time consuming effort of coping folder by folder (export/Import)What I am more concerned about is that the individaul messages may have the same issue Ie not all coming accross and subject names being lost. Looking for alternative or third party transfer solutions?
I just bought myself some new parts for a new computer I built. After buying the parts and assembling it I tried to install windows 7, keeping in mind that this computer has no previous os installed in it, completely blank. I somehow managed to get to safe mode and install till the part where it says expanding windows files completing that step fully and rebooting to continue the installation, I have no idea why but after when it restarts, it freezes at the "starting windows" screen with the four orb animation. It should just go to the next screen with the blue wallpaper asking me for the language I would like and what not. But it just gets stuck there and doesn't move on, I tried
rebooting
removing as much devices I had plugged into the motherboard
removing everything but the mouse and key board
removing the graphics card
removing one of the two sticks of ram
[code]...
I have tried everything I know of and I don't think I need to update my bios because no one else has encountered this problem. Swell I am not very good with computers I am very new to this so...I also heard about updating drivers , but don't u need to actually be able to login to your computer to download and install them? I can't even log in, I wait for the windows logo to pass but it never does please help Tom Hardware community.
