Dec 26, 2011So I bought this like a year ago and only had the basic Medieval installed (Without kingdoms) I got into it again and wanted to play it with kingdoms so I deleted Medieval and tried reinstalling it again. Im not good with computers at all but I have Windows 7 and I played it on this computer before and I have a good computer so I know it's compatible.I put the Cd in and click the green launch Icon and the main menu comes up. I click install then it comes up with the four total wars and I check all of them and click next, and then when I get to the next page it asks me to put in disc 2 and select where I would like to install it. I put in the Cd and then pick where to install it (Default is the CD it is being installed from) I have tried my C drive and my external drive but neither works. A error message pops up and says Setup could not find a file or the specified path or disc. Please check that the proper disk is insert or specify new path.

Dec 13, 2011I have two laptops - a new one with Win 7 HP 32bit and an old one with Win 7 HP 64 bit
The new one with Win 7 HP 32bit came with 4gb of ram which is a bit silly since 32bit Win 7 HP can only use 3gb of that, but from what I understand, the serial on the underside can also be used to activate the 64bit version, which would recognise all the ram
Now, even though I've paid for two Win 7 HP licenses, I don't actually have a Win 7 disc, only the factory reset discs (which I had to burn myself when I first turned on the computer - which is pretty shocking really!!!)
But I digress. Is there any way Win 7 HP 64bit on my new laptop WITHOUT paying for it (again) I know XP let you make custom (slipstreamed) XP discs from installations but I can't find a way to do it in Win 7
Can't Get Online; Windows 7 Pro Setup A Public Network & Lost LAN
Apr 9, 2012I can�t get online. Icon in taskbar says I don�t have a network connection. Upon exploring, I find that Windows 7 Pro has me setup for a �public network��which has a yellow exclamation mark on the left side between my PC and the network, and a red X on the right side between the network and the Internet.
DETAILS:Dell desktop PC. Was running Windows 7 Home, now running Windows 7 Pro (full install; not upgrade). I had a malware problem (images on webpages and links, etc. were not visible to me) with W7Home; cleaned it and went to W7Pro. However, now I have this whole new and far worse problem with W7Pro. (See �problem� above.) NOTE: I am the only person in my house and the only person using the computer. So I never had it set up for a network. I only own the desktop PC and don�t need a network. The �network� that is now set up on my computer was set up by W7Pro by itself as part of the problem. My IP is not static so I can�t input my IP manually�it�s set to automatically detect. Called cable modem service provider; they made the assumption my operating system came with my PC and told me to call Dell for support. When I explained my OS didn�t come with the PC, they then said �You need to talk to Microsoft.� Uh---no. The cable modem service provider said their server is talking to my PC�my PC is unable to get to them. (Makes sense, as that matches the pictures I�m seeing with the exclamation mark and red X.)

Windows 7: Recovery Disc Content When Created By Dell Inspiron Setup
Apr 8, 2012I have a new Dell Inspiron 620MT with Windows 7 and have just run the Setup procedures. This included the creation of 3 DVD's for Recovery Disks. My hard drive has 33 GB of content as delivered, including Microsoft Office Home and Business and several "freebies" Dell includes. The setup told me my 3 DVD's include 10.88GB, I "think" but am not sure Setup told me it was using compression to load the DVD's. What is the content of these 3 DVD's? I've called Dell multiple times and get conflicting, contradictory and changing answers to my question? I am wondering if it is ONLY Windows 7 or is it some partial or complete set of everything on my hard drive? Unrelated, Dell support sent me a flash drive of Windows 7 restore software that is "bootable." I looked at it and it contains only 4GB. That is why I am thinking there may be more content on the 3 DVD's 10.88 GB. I simply want to know what I have as a base in the way of backup BEFORE I migrate everything from my 7 year very old Dell Dimension 3000.

Now for the last 6 months or so I started getting issues with my machine was not displaying anything at all after turning it on. So I had to hard reset my power from the machine and then was able to see it started displaying again.At first I suspected graphic card (NVIDIA GEFORCE) but then I did my diagnostic test and nothing was found.One day, I started re-imaging my machine as a fresh and then after this it never came back ONLINE. I read all HP forums & even HP Online support was unable to help me to find the cause.Because when I turn on my machine I can see the power light was on and could hear big fan noise but mo HDD activity at all.So at this stage, I suspected either motherboard or BIOS but wasn't 100% sure what could be the real cause because I was sure it was not due to graphic card.So first I re-setted by my BIOS to see if it helps but it didn't came up at all. So then I took my machine to a Computer repair shop (a friend of mine) and we detected it could be due to the regulator which supplies power to the CPU and motherboard.So we replaced that part and now my HP Touchsmart is running fin since then.But I have lost my HP Startup logo with options such as below: [code]

Simply put, my boot manager is missing, but only when my windows install disc is not in the disc drive. I'm using 'Digital Precision Headset' by Logitech. It has worked fine for me on XP, so i don't see what the problem could be. The driver sofware comes with windows, so logitech doesnt offer driver support for it. I did however un-plug/plug-in to see if windows(7) would reinstall the drivers. It did, but i still cant get them to work right. Which sucks for online gamming, because i dont have another mic to use.

the only way I got the drivers to install was to execute them in vista SP3 mode and I get a message like : these drivers are not made for this windows and then I click continue anyway, everything looks like it's working but once it's installed it asks me to plug-in the webcam and then Windows 7 looks for the drivers on windows update and once this is done I can't see the webcam on my computer, huh?

Logitech Gaming Drivers
Sep 21, 2009I installed Windows 7 RC 7100 on my gaming rig a couple of months ago. All was well until I got to the Logitech Gaming drivers for my Rumblepad 2 and Force Feedback Racing Wheel. Using Vista x64 drivers my system crashed repeatedly (cant recall exact error message)
The logitech website says that most Vista drivers will not have any issues with Windows 7, however I am a little apprehensive about reformatting if the problem occurs again.
My questions are:
1. Is anybody else having the same probs?
2. Is there a solution to this?(apart from not installing Windows 7)
I really liked the the look and feel of Windows 7 however not being able to use game controllers on my gaming rig sort of defeats the purpose.

Maybe you guys might have some ideas in helping me solve this issue with a driver for a Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Pro.
Previously I got the webcam working by using this work around: Software Simple Blog Archive Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro Webcam In Windows Vista and it worked fine no problems. That was when I had Windows 7 32bit installed.
Now that I am running the 64bit version things are proving a little tricky. I tried the same technique as I previously did for the 32bit but no luck.
Additionally I tried some of the methods listed in the other QuickCam Pro for Notebooks 9000 thread but no luck with that either. Of course the webcams are different, I was just hoping that the same principle might apply..

Feb 11, 2013I've had my g510 for a while and all this time the folowing ssues have been occuring and I can find any solutions on the internet. Ok problem one:I can't use the keyboard to get into the bios/edit things within the bios as it doesn't work untill the OS is booted Problem 2: I have to keep a mic/microphone jack pluged into the keyboard at all times or it will not alow me to use any of the keys or the lcd display and this can only be resolved if I unplug and replug it in the usb port and put the mic/headphone jack in (this is an issue because I use an usb headset now)
